Vegetable Hot Stone Bibimbap after mixing it.
    Linda A.

Food was delicious and we had great service. We ordered the vegetable noodles and the vegetable hot stone bibimbap. Everything was excellent. I wish we had room in our tummy to try more. So many options for vegetarians. We will definitely go back. I've also had their vegetable pancake. Super good and I highly recommend. The staff were very nice and accommodating.

Finally decided to come try the wings at this place and it did not disappoint. Walked in with my 8 month old and were quickly and so very warmly greeted at this very cozy place. The female owner/chef took my child to hold and carry him while we looked at the menu. Asked how old he was and they busted out some teether snacks for him before giving him back. Definitely a family friendly establishment. I felt like family and will definitely be going back. We ordered the fried tofu, fried chicken wings, and hot stone bibimbap. The bibimbap came with 3 banchan sides, with the kimchee being the standout. The wings were perfectly crunchy and flavorful. The REAL showstopper though... is their sweet, sticky, garlic sauce!!! Literally finger-licking good. Highly highly highly recommend!

If I could give this place a 4.5 I would!!! The owner was so nice and even mixed up our food and served us! I absolutely love their hot stone bibimbop!! It's so filling, and you can adjust the spice of it because they give you the bottle on the side! They give you a small tray of side dishes and they're all so yummy!! I was just a bit disappointed that my 떡볶이 had SO much onion, and it's something I'm not used to. It wasn't super spicy either, I just wish it had less onion.

Can I give 10 stars instead of 5? Service is the best here and if we lived in Bakersfield, we would be supporting them all the time...but instead I'll just have to tell everyone I know to stop here whenever they're in the area! We walked in and the owner greeted us like she knew us and immediately started to play with our kids. Our son is very shy but our daughter was all for it! We were driving through on a long road trip so we would take any break we can get! Before we even got menus, she ran to the back and got snacks & juice for my son, which was amazing so he could just sit and eat while we ordered. We ate kimchi fried rice with spam, and an order of bulgogi with comes with rice and banchan. Our son ate the rice by himself. She also cooked a little bowl of rice and eggs for our daughter, and she sat down and pulled up a chair, and started feeding her. Didn't ask, didn't tell us to eat, she was just in her own world and truly wanted to help take care of her, it was so adorable. She would ask us if she could give her water or some of the spam first though. Our daughter who is usually very antsy, sat through the entire meal and ate it all up! My son pointed at the ice cream macarons and she said to grab any for him. She only charged us for the kimchi fried rice and the bulgogi that we ordered. My son had a great time too after all his food and juice, he even gave her a hug when we left. The kimchi fried rice was so good and she mixed it up with the egg for us. I've never had it with peas and carrots before, I could've done without it and just enjoyed it with the spam! The bulgogi was also so flavorful and tender and I liked that it was thinly sliced and weren't giant pieces. She said that she and her husband became owners after they got bored of retirement. They are truly just doing it for fun and she said she enjoys seeing all the kids that come. She was just the sweetest angel that helped give these tired parents a break. I hope we will get the chance to go visit them again!

Definitely coming back here! We came in at 11am as their first customers of the day. The family was super friendly and the portions were good.

    Hot stone bibimbap

All of the food we had was delicious! The pork hot stone bibimbap was crispy and savory with the perfect mix of different ingredients. Also the cheese ttekboki was chewy and sweet and a good amount of spice. Lastly the fried rice was seasoned well and was yummy too. :)

The food was so good and the owners were the sweetest! So hospitable and friendly, definitely will be going back, everything was delicious from the cheese Tteok-bokki to the hot plate beef bibimbap and the kimchi was so tasty as well ! Fresh food and great service you can't beat that, a true hidden gem in the northeast. Thank you Crazy Bbq for an amazing meal!

The moment you sit down and hear that first sizzle on the grill, you know you're in for more than dinner. You're about to enter a delicious little universe where time slows down, everyone leans in, and the table becomes the heart of the evening. There's something magical about cooking together at Kalbi King. One person becomes the self-appointed Grill Master, another becomes the Sauce Explorer, and someone inevitably declares themselves the Chief Lettuce Wrap Architect. Before you know it, everyone's laughing, flipping, grabbing side dishes, and building the perfect bite like a tiny edible masterpiece. And the meats--oh, the meats. High-quality, tender cuts that cook beautifully right before your eyes, caramelizing into smoky, juicy perfection. The kalbi is the undisputed star, but the pork belly, bulgogi, and marinated chicken hold their own like a talented supporting cast. Each bite feels like a round of applause in your mouth. Don't even get me started on the sides. The banchan lineup comes marching in like a whimsical parade--kimchi with personality, pickled veggies bursting with tangy charm, fluffy rice ready to join the party. Everything feels fresh, generous, and crafted with care. But the real reason Kalbi King stands out? It turns a meal into a family moment. You're not just eating--you're sharing stories, dodging smoke puffs, laughing at slightly overcooked slices, and cheering when someone nails the perfect grill timing. It's the kind of place where you leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. If you're craving food that's flavorful, interactive, and memory-making, Kalbi King Korean BBQ is the crown-wearing hero your family deserves.

One thing I noticed was the mix of different tables and chairs throughout the restaurant. It almost feels like a hodgepodge of furniture, but somehow it works and fits the contemporary vibe rather than feeling out of place. The food was excellent, the service was friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. We received our food surprisingly fast, which was a nice bonus. There was a mistake with one of our rolls, but the staff handled it well. They quickly remade the roll and brought us a replacement at no charge, which I really appreciated. One of the highlights was a custom roll with jalapeño, avocado, and asparagus. I added cream cheese and had it deep fried, and it honestly tasted like a sushi version of a jalapeño popper. It was absolutely amazing and something I would order again in a heartbeat. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. Good food, good service, reasonable prices, and a unique atmosphere. I would definitely recommend giving Kuma Sushi a try.

The parking is a bit of a challenge right now due to the construction in downtown. However, there is a lot right next to them that you can park in and there is also parking on the street directly in front of their door. The restaurant is modern and decorated in Asian theme. The bathroom and the restaurant is very clean. And the staff was very attentive, professional, and very pleasant. I enjoyed the food I ordered via DoorDash, but this time I got it fresh right out of the kitchen and the counter, and it was amazing. We started with the jalapeño bomb, and mixed tempura in a size small. Both those appetizers were delicious and perfect for sharing. Then we ordered a California roll on soy paper, the Kuma special sushi roll, and the creamy salmon roll. Everything was fresh and very shareable. We could've easily shared our meal with two other people needless to say we had leftovers to take home. I definitely recommend this place and I look forward to going back. There are other things on the menu such as fried rice, udon, and teriyaki plates. They also had a couple of desserts, so I am definitely planning on trying one of those. Enjoy!
