We did get there very early talking before 10am they were so sweet and amazing still letting us order what was available and answering any and many questions we had regarding food options. Service was 5 out of 5 for our first moment in LA everyone was so kind and made our journey so worth it. We got the crawfish fettuccine with the Crawfish dressing and regular rice and an amazing biscuit. (Honestly I could order a dozen just for the road back) All the food was a 10 out of 5 and so sad I don't live closer as I know I will be dreaming of this food for the rest of my life! They have other food there like a grocery store and really thinking of going back just to buy some for the freezer for when I miss it most. And always like to take a moment to talk about the restrooms and when going to places like that I don't expect the nicest bathroom but they shocked the mess out of me. By far the best restrooms. Dined here once with my wife while having a stopover in Breaux Bridge. The service was kind and attending, the prices were reasonable and the food was delicious. I had 3 lbs of crawfish, which wasn't the best I ever had but was still very decent. My wife had the bbq shrimp which was soooo good we had to ask if they had their bbq sauce on sale (they have all kinds of stuff including spices for sale in the restaurant). Unfortunately they didn't, but the waitress was so kind that she brought us a large cup of the sauce from the kitchen for us to take home! This is what I call hospitality and good service. If you want some good, home-cooked cajun food, this is the place to be. Of coarse someone from CA or AL may not care for it because they were raised on fake seafood all their life. They dont know what real cajun food is. Someone like me who is from Louisiana knows good food and its served over here!! I aksed some of the locals for recommendations and they sent me here. Damn, they were right. The crawfish here both times I went were great. Plump, juicy, and spicy. They also have some super cool trays that have a little slider for your shell debris. All crawfish restaurants should adopt these trays. In addition to crawfish, you can get other boiled items as well as other Cajun fare. The gumbo comes with potato salad and is as good as any restaurant gumbo I have ever had. The waitstaff is young and super friendly. We received our food quickly and never had to beg for drink refills, etc. I highly recommend this place. It is even worth a trip to Mowata from wherever you are. Forget the touristy places, get yourself here.
