Wow! What an amazing experience! We arrived at 8:50pm on a Wednesday. As they were ready to close we asked if they would still serve us. Jennifer welcomed us with a wonderful smile and said " Of course, the chef will prepare whatever you want " we ordered the cheese steak sandwich. It was delicious. Great service, great food! We were on our way back from St. George & needed a place to eat. This place sounded good & looked fun & creatively decorated. We decided to try their chicken fingers with a side salad & a chocolate shake. Not good at all! They were flat, dry, & heavily breaded! Hardly any chicken, more bread than chicken with not much flavor. And the side salad was something you'd find at a school cafeteria. In fact, all of it was! We were not impressed. AND, they charged us more than the menu prices without even telling us. When we called them out on it, they said their prices are higher than the menu due to inflation. Not telling people about this BEFORE they order is going to upset a lot of folks! I understand things are getting more expensive, but be upfront about it! That meal ended up costing us over $40! And we did take out! Even a fast food place would have been better, & for much less money! The food here made me extremely bloated & gave me a bad headache. I feel bad saying this, but it's the truth! It would be hard to run a business, especially right now. So my heart goes out to businesses. But this was just wrong! We felt so cheated. Such a waste of our hard earned money. Maybe had we tried something else on the menu, we would have had a better experience? The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable, the service was quick and they caught a mess up on our order before it left the kitchen, came out, apologized,and made it right. Ate breakfast there this morning. Toast was not toasted, gravy and hash browns were cold. Told 2 of the wait staff and their answer was "we are sorry". No one said they would bring out hot ones or even offer to warm up the ones we had been served. This is poor treatment of a customer and this kind of behavior has gotten people fire. If the owners/ management don't correct this, their business future is looking bleak. read more

I couldn't find a place to eat at that sounded good on the road to Las Vegas. Finally found this restaurant and reluctantly gave it a try. So I have to admit, I wasn't really in a super excited or optimistic mood. The menu was very standard fare. My server was very nice but seemed a little novice. I ordered my meal. When it came out I asked for ketchup and she brought me a bowl of those little packets, which I despise. I like a lot of ketchup and hate squeezing out every drop. After a few packets I noticed my hands were covered in ketchup. Looking for my napkin, I realized I had none. So I stopped another server and asked her for a napkin. Seeing my situation she grabbed me a stack of napkins and a bottle of Heinz, saving her restaurant from a negative review. That and the fact that the food was decent. It's hard to screw up fried fish and French fries, but stranger things have happened on the way to Vegas. read more

We stopped here going through town at lunch. The server was polite but not attentive. The food was over priced and you have to pay for any changes. So far all of this is relatively acceptable (for a roadside restaurant), however the food quality was what was unacceptable. Our food took forever to come out. It had quite obviously been sitting under heat lamps for quite a while. Everything tasted "tainted" from sitting. It was generally gross. There are very few acceptable places to eat in Beaver, but there are a couple that are way better than this place. We absolutely won't return. read more

Conveniently located in parking lot with Best Western Paradise Inn. Food is decent but I feel like I am inconveniencing the staff by placing a to go order. They have a guaranteed clientele with the motel sharing the parking lot so they might try a little better to pleasantly and efficiently serve them. read more

Came in with low expectations since this is located in the middle of nowhere right next to the highway between Salt Lake City and St. George. Was really amazed at the wonderful homemade chicken noodle soup. Due to a health issue, I am sensitive to salty food and food full of preservatives. You can tell they prepare the food fresh here at Crazy Cow, not frozen, or freeze-dried like most places these days. Had a delicious cheese stuffed hamburger. Bun was fresh. Fresh lettuce and tomato. I ordered the grilled chicken salad, and I am 110% sure, the chicken was nuked, and not grilled. Why, you ask? Well, no grill marks, or hell, even burn marks. We have passed the sign for this place a million times and finally decided to stop today. It wasn't bad, but we weren't super impressed either. It was completely dead, but that is expected on a Sunday in Utah. Our waitress didn't introduce herself, or smile, or offer help deciding or anything. She seemed very timid, almost scared. I honestly think that a server plays a big part in the dining experience and she was just dull. The food wasn't good or bad. It was mediocre. My husband got the classic cow burger, which he said was okay, just a normal burger. He also got Tetris tots, which were fun to play with. I got the sticky fingers basket, which was good. The sauce was yummy. One thing I was impressed with was how clean and cute this place was. The bathrooms were very clean as was the dining room. I think that this place has potential, but we probably wouldn't stop again. read more

Ahhh, the alliteration. So, this is your home for all things cow and given that, they have a special for a ham & cheese sandwich the day I finally make it in. Which the wait dude recommends. Which I decline, because, seriously? You have a huge cow (and diamond plate) motif, all sorts of bric-a-brac and bovine souvenirs and junk and you offer someone a different animal completely? Nuh uh, troop. This place better serve me up a slab of that beef and come correct with it... And they mostly did. I ordered the oddly named Cowabunga Burger, which reminded me a lot of the Big Kahuna burger from Pulp Fiction. It was served in the weirdest manner I'd seen, along with this plastic cup full of some brownish unidentifiable glop that I promptly sent back to the kitchen or the depths of Hell or wherever it came from and got some mayo instead. That was, I think, the right choice. Anyway, the burger took a while coming, but when it got there, it was worth it. The char was excellent and it had a very solid beefy, classic hamburger taste. So, am I in love with the name of the place or the place itself, with its stark, gleamy weird chrome and black steel look, extending all the way to the completely uninviting salad bar? Definitely not and I probably won't be returning ever, but credit where it's due, they do a good burger and live up to billing with slinging the cow, so props for that. read more

This is a 4-star restaurant, given that it's located in Beaver, Utah - a sleepy little town on I-15 with few options other than fast food. (I would lower the number of stars, if it were in a larger city.) Here's what I liked about Crazy Cow Cafe: - The owner was in the dining room and checked on every table, making conversation, and insuring satisfaction. This is a good indicator that the restaurant will improve. - Small but decent salad bar (optional). - Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. - A wide range of typical American food, typically priced. My food seemed normal and fine, given that I had adjusted my expectations appropriately. - Friendly, enthusiastic wait staff. - Modern, stylish dining room. Here are a couple things I didn't like: - No vegetarian options. Even the dinner salads all came with meat. (The salad bar would probably be inadequate for a non-meat-eater.) - Breakfast not served after 11 am. (I sometimes like breakfast for dinner.) If you're in Beaver, or passing through on your way from Vegas to SLC, or vice versa, Crazy Cow Cafe would make a good 1/2-way stopping point. read more

The burgers here are the freshest tasting burgers I've ever had! Ours were cooked perfectly. The buns are amazing too, just the perfect amount of toasting while keeping it completely soft. The fries have a sweetness to them, though our waitress said there was no honey drizzled on them. The fried Oreos were divine. We had them with chocolate and caramel. Holy hell!! So good!! Driving through and saw this place on Yelp, me and the family decided to stop bye. First we were met with warm service. Sat down and got our drinks fast and if you dilemma is between Coke and Pepsi no worries they got both. Got our menu's and the dilemma beginning because everything on the menu sounds and it was very good, everything was very delicious. Soups of the day all delicious, cornbread delicious and the salad bar was clean and fresh. We got the Beef Dip, Fish and chips, Barn burger and New York steak all very delicious. They had desert that looked really good but we were to full for dessert because we cleaned our plates. Definitely a must stop for me and my family next time driving through. read more
