The breakfast burrito the eggs inside burnt, dry and nasty. it looked like the eggs cooked too long and the were scraped off griddle and put inside tortilla. Just went to the Crazy Otto's Friday 12 July 2024 for breakfast. First, breakfast for me my wife and son was almost $90! We didn't order anything but breakfast. Small coffee was $4.30 each!!!! A small orange juice was $5.50!! I had the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs. The food was all very bland. The gravy on the Chicken Fried Steak tasted like flour and water! Steak was very tough. Portions were huge, which I guess makes the price make more sense but I came there with 2 small children. They did go out of their way to put smiley faces on the pancakes with butter and strawberries and that's why this is 3 stars and not 2. Did not plan on spending over $100 for two small children and two adults though. One of the customers had a small dog under their table. The server pet the dog and went to handle silverware before picking up plate of mozzarella sticks and bringing it to our table. Mozzarella sticks were good though. It was dark in there but it was cloudy outside and the sun was going down so I assume that they normally rely on a lot of the natural sunlight. read more

Been coming to Crazy Ottos since they were on Sierra Highway many years ago. Always good food and consistent day in and day out. I usually get the chorizo and eggs. The chorizo has great flavor and the mix of eggs to chorizo is good, lots of chorizo. The hash browns are crispy and good. This is by far the best place to have breakfast in the valley in my opinion. We now live in AZ but when we come back to visit we make sure to come here for breakfast at least once. read more

Yesterday around 11am we ordered the prime rib breakfast to go and I ordered it medium. When we opened the box, the prime rib looked extremely well done. The whole steak was dark on both sides and there was none of the pink in the middle as " medium" should be. We still cut it in half, and neither of us touched it. It was really tough and lots of gristle. If we were at the restaurant, we would have sent it back. We ended up only eating the eggs, hash browns and biscuits with gravy. Today I called and asked to speak to a supervisor or manager ro let them know it's not okay to serve a piece of meat like they did when we paid $41 for 1 breakfast. I was told they were too busy to come to the phone but she would pass along my complaint. No phone call was received, so I'm not even sure my call was brought to management's attention. If they didn't have a medium piece of prime rib, then they should have called us back to let us know to order something different. I was really craving that breakfast and was totally let down. I will also add we have ordered this breakfast many times before, and It was always delicious until yesterday. read more

Went here for breakfast. Outdoor covered patio was nice. They had a heat lamp and also another heater on the ground. Service was good and they were friendly. Portion size is good for the price. I like that biscuits and gravy is an option included for toast when ordering a full breakfast. The only bump in the road was the 10oz ribeye. Size was good, seasoning was good, but I ordered it medium rare and it came out medium well. If you're a steak person like me you know that totally changes the flavor and texture of the steak. My daughter had the Belgian waffle and she said it was ok. Better to get the pancakes. Other than that it's a great place to grab breakfast. I highly recommend it. read more

I've been coming to this location for years and sadly will never return. I ordered the country fried steak and received my food way too fast telling me that the meat would not be fresh and I was right. It was not breaded and tasted like the bottom of a cattle farmer's boot. I gave them the benefit of the doubt since I've loved their food since I was a kid, but then the waitress comes to our table as my wife and I are finishing our drinks and asks us to take our conversation to the patio. I can understand not wanting us to linger for an hour after we eat if it's busy, but there were empty tables and we were finishing a drink we had already paid for. For the price they charge for cheap ingredients, I don't want to be rushed out, do yourself a favor and avoid this place. The location on Avenue I is better all around. read more

Omg ! $40 prime rib super for 2 ! It comes with the huge cut of prime rib, bake tater and vegetables. Salad or appetizer and a big slice of cake. It's Crazy Ottos portions! We had 2 boxes for leftovers to take home we couldn't eat all of it. All of that for $40! You got to a burger place and get 2 combo meal deals and your spending the same amount! Ave i location has the most room, you can get around without bouncing into other tables and diners. Just dont order delivery, did that on several occasions and order was wrong every time! It was a large portion so I recommend sharing. I took the leftovers home and had it the next day. The service was nice and it was affordable. Crazy Otto's is a small chain of diners serving standard American diner food, and honestly, nothing particularly crazy. They also have a "no substitutions" policy, which is tough enough at almost any other nicer restaurant where some thought and artistry goes into their foods, but pretty inexcusable when you're really just serving standard diner food and patrons like us hope that we might be able to create a meal for ourselves, even if we are vegetarians, or people with gluten-free diets. For example my wife wanted an omelette with avocado and wanted no meat in it. They were happy to take the meat out but to add spinach it was $3.25, which seemed pretty ridiculous, or in the terminology of the restaurant "crazy". I had a cheese omelette made with egg whites. It was definitely large but nothing special. The egg whites were a little overcooked, the cheese didn't have much flavor, and the hash-browns were really just a bunch of undercooked potatoes, with no discernible seasoning. The food did come out insanely fast, so I guess kudos for the quick service, if only any of it was any good. Please restaurants, take your time with my food and make it right. My wife also ordered her hash-browns well done. They came out essentially burned and inedible. Considering the ones I had on my omelette were undercooked and under-seasoned I'm wondering if Crazy Otto's could find a crazy medium between not cooked enough and potatoes served directly out of the sun. I had a biscuit as my bread choice. I love biscuits and I've had them with breakfast at restaurants all over our fine nation. This was probably the worst biscuit I'd ever had. It was terrible! It almost had the flavor of a biscuit but the texture was awful. It says right on their menu they have the "best biscuits in town." Well to be fair this is the only biscuit I've had in Lancaster, and I'd say, compared to what I've had in the rest of the United States of America, Lancaster really needs to up their biscuit game if this is the best they have to offer. My wife added tortillas to her meal so she could have a gluten-free bread choice. She did kind of enjoy the spinach and avocado that she pulled out of her eggs, wrapped in the tortillas (A sort of roll-your own breakfast quesadilla) There was of course an extra fee for the tortillas and no other gluten free bread options available. On the positive side our son really enjoyed his french fries and sourdough toast. Well done Otto's as for not stirring up french fries and toast. Perhaps this can be a building block for your future success. I can't speak much to the cleanliness of the restaurant either. The paper napkins they gave us actually stuck to the table. They were nice enough to come and clean it again and dry it off so that didn't happen a second time. But not really great first impression on their regular table cleaning process. They did offer half sizes on their insanely large omelettes for just a dollar less. Which is cool though considering the amount of food that they gave you perhaps more than a dollar off would be warranted for these fairly expensive omelettes. If you're considering eating at Otto's, I'd suggest you'd be better off just mailing the $20 to Otto and then eating somewhere else. read more

The ladies are always so happy to help us out, seat us down quickly and take our order. My man loves the chicken and waffles. He orders that all the time. I love trying new things every time I come. Came here open minded from the last experience I had here. Last experience here I had to keep flagging down the servers in order to get coffee or water. Our order took a little while to come out that time. I thought maybe it was me so I did not check in. We were seated and the girl brought us water and began our 15 minute wait. The waitresses walked by, I made eye contact several times to see if they would come over. Other patrons came in after us ordered and began to get their food. After waiting for a while we decided to leave. As w were walking out one of the waitresses came and asked us to stay. She apologized that we were overlooked, really?
