We drove all the way from Slidell to try this place and it did not disappoint. We got lucky and only had to wait 10 minutes. First of all, the staff was excellent. My coffee and water were never empty. The owner Amanda came over and introduced herself. We were so happy to support a small family business. I had the skillet hash with breakfast potatoes, ham, bacon, sausage, cheese and two sunny side up eggs. It was SO good and had a ton of meat. Husband had the chicken and waffles and he loved it. They have a full bar and offered a very good Irish coffee. Not one complaint. We will definitely make the drive again real soon to go to this place. read more

My husband and I came for breakfast on a Friday. My husband ordered the chicken biscuit and I ordered the boots (fried green tomato, egg, bacon, cheese on a biscuit. The entrees came and they were huge! The chicken was really good, the egg, cheese and bacon were also really good as were the grits. The problem was the biscuits. They seemed to focus on quantity and not quality. As soon as you picked it up, it just fell apart. My husband said they were like sand. So we left a lot of biscuit on our plAtes and ate the fillings. REVIEW FOR COVINGTON LOCATION: Best breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Glad they opened one in Covington. Servers always very attentive but not intrusive. Wait time for a table/food is minimal even with a crowd. The vanilla cold brew coffee is so good. I normally order the kickin chicken sandwich and my husband gets the hot turkey sandwich. She didn't even put in my husband's food or check on us after the rest of the table received theirs to realize that he still hadn't eaten when the entire rest of the table was done eating. When the manager did come he tossed a $10 gift card at my husband and walked away. He didn't even both to talk to us to apologize or explain.
