I saw this place as I was driving nearby to another business, but they were closed by the time I got back. I am glad I made it late morning on a Saturday. I was promptly seated and asked which beverage I wanted. I ended up getting the shrimp pasta which was quite nice. Prices were reasonable, everything seemed clean. I look forward to coming back.

My husband chose Crazy Pig Southetn Kitchen for Fathers Day brunch! What a treat! Not a huge place, but considering, they can truly pack that place! Food was great and service was excellent! I recommend on a holiday you get there early! We checked in for 9:15 and we had about a 20 minute wait for a table. However when we left there was about a 45 minute wait! Definitely try this little place out!

This isba quaint little hile in the wall spot to eat. We were seating right away. The service was outstanding as the server made sure you felt welcomed and your needs were met. So many choices to choose from that it was hard to decide on what to eat. The food didnt take long to come out and it was hot and full of flavor. They are great for brunch and you can gave breakfast all day if you choose. One of my sides was mac and cheese and you can tell they make their past fresh. Highly recommend.

Praline bacon was delicious, and breakfast potatoes were good too. Everything else a bit dry. Place was clean and had pig pictures and figurines; very cute. Service was good. The lady helping us was friendly and polite, very nice experience overall.

I did a Google search as we were leaving Covington and the Crazy Pig came up. With a name like that, I just had to try it. We were greeted and seated quickly. We actually chose the bar bc there was a TV there and we couldn't see it where they were about to seat us. We tried the praline bacon. I think it was just okay. Tasted like bacon with honey. I didn't care for the texture bc I like my bacon crispy. I had the avocado toast and my husband had the seafood omelet. The toast was really good, the bread was thin, but it was very tasty and seasoned well. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his omelet amd it was very thick and filled with seafood. He ate half and took the other half home. The restaurant is a nice size, good amount of tables. It was clean also. The staff was okay...I'm neutral on that part because they weren't very welcoming, but they weren't rude either. It took a while to order bc we were expecting to be asked if we were ready to order, but was never asked, we had to get her attention. Drink order was taken quickly, but not the food. If you're looking for an experience, this isn't the place. If you're looking for a place to get good breakfast, stop by and enjoy.

This place deserves every high ranking they received. The menu of options makes you drool. They're super friendly and the wait staff is amazing. Gives you options and drinks stay full. Worth the drive from the city for sure. I tried the shrimp and grits. Maaaaaaaaan it was good. Perfectly seasoned. Perfect consistency to the grits. Plenty of shrimp. Came with a biscuit that was soft and delicious. Also got the praline bacon. Could have ordered more. This is what praline bacon is supposed to be. Truly lived up to the name. Even the sweet tea was real tasty. Inside was clean with plenty of tables. It did start to fill around 9am this Sunday morning. I got there at 830 and it was half full. FYI, this is a review for the location in Covington, not Mandeville. The address is 500 River Highland Blvd. and has been open since May, I believe, although it doesn't seem to have a presence on Yelp. Sorta off the beaten path and easy to miss, but features a nice venue with a laid back, extremely casual atmosphere, and a southern cafe persona. Open for brunch and lunch and although not open after 2:30 pm, there is a full bar featuring standard and specialty cocktails. You would think this would be well suited to an evening crowd. We visited on a Friday for lunch and a sizable crowd suggested an established following. Staff was welcoming and efficient and service was swift. The menu is somewhat eclectic, featuring takes on southern and pseudo- southern specialties along with appetizers, salads, burgers, and sandwiches. My wife had the chicken salad on croissant with a slaw side, and I had the broiled pork South House specialty with slaw and fried okra. Both were good, but the gravy with mine was somewhat of a gummy disappointment. Overall worthwhile though, so the brunch/lunch crowd would do well to check out the Crazy Pig.

Second time I could not eat their kickin' chicken sandwich. Apparently the meat is brined. If done incorrectly, the meat is hard and inedible. Disappointed as I loved going there with friends. Service was excellent. Bathrooms need improvement. I had the same problem with the chicken at the Covington location when it initially opened. They did comp the meal and replaced it with an excellent fried shrimp po boy. It was unexpected that the original location would ruin the chicken as well! read more

My husband and I came for breakfast on a Friday. My husband ordered the chicken biscuit and I ordered the boots (fried green tomato, egg, bacon, cheese on a biscuit. The entrees came and they were huge! The chicken was really good, the egg, cheese and bacon were also really good as were the grits. The problem was the biscuits. They seemed to focus on quantity and not quality. As soon as you picked it up, it just fell apart. My husband said they were like sand. So we left a lot of biscuit on our plAtes and ate the fillings. If I come back, I will try the basic breakfast. read more

The food never disappoints and the servings are enough for two to share but if you are hungry then you don't have too. I just had to order the boo yah biscuit because of the name and who thinks of coating bacon with praline bits? Mmmm just the right amount of crispness. Oh the grits here? So creamy . I'm new to the area they set the benchmark on grits. My husband ordered the pulled pork Benedict eggs, also a good dish. Why my 4 star? Food was amazing. Our server was not. She kept forgetting our table and simple things we asked for like straws or napkins. She didn't even put in my husband's food or check on us after the rest of the table received theirs to realize that he still hadn't eaten when the entire rest of the table was done eating. Just very unprofessional service and she did not even offer to comp the food we did not receive. When I did ask for that, she was very reluctant to ask the manager. When the manager did come he tossed a $10 gift card at my husband and walked away. He didn't even both to talk to us to apologize or explain. He walked away and blatantly ignored me when I was calling "excuse me" multiple times to him. I have eaten here many times before and never received such poor service. read more

Crazy Pig - Lots of good food! Very good service. Popular but the line moved quickly. Cute place with lots of pig stuff. Very hard to make a decision- so much on the menu - and that was just the breakfast side!!! Staff works very hard to make you feel welcome. Great choice for weekend brunch. This southern kitchen was well worth gettin off I10. It was really good. I had the basic hamburger and it so juicy, not dry at all. We also had the chicken salad sandwich, the Kicken' Chicken Salad and the Chicken N Waffles. We all left with a full belly. The waitstaff was very great!! read more

It was a great experience. The best vanilla cold brew I have ever had! I had the Lean and Green. The grits were so creamy. The Best! It was hot healthy and delicious! REVIEW FOR COVINGTON LOCATION: Best breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Glad they opened one in Covington. Servers always very attentive but not intrusive. Wait time for a table/food is minimal even with a crowd. The vanilla cold brew coffee is so good. I normally order the kickin chicken sandwich and my husband gets the hot turkey sandwich. We have not had a bad meal though. The chicken salad sandwich, crab cake Benedict, praline bacon... I could go on and on... all delicious! read more

We stayed nearby for a weekend. This place was recommended by family. OMG this place was amazing. Fantastic food! We visited on a Sunday so it was busy but didn't have to wait to long for a table. There are tables outside as well. I ordered the whole hog eggs Benedict. A amazing combo of pork in a plate. Bacon, pulled pork, and pork sausage on a biscuit. Topped with poached eggs. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich which was delicious. Probably the best pulled pork sandwich I've ever eaten. I highly recommend this place. read more

Me & my husband stopped here on the way out of New Orleans for brunch and it was fantastic. I got the build your own scramble and my husband got biscuits and gravy and the pecan waffle. The quality and the flavor is by far one of the best restaurants I have been to! We had a party of 8 so we tried a few dishes. The pulled port is delicious and tender. I got the pork eggs Benedict. Been here twice and the brunch is delicious. Milk honey punch is wonderful if you like a tasty drink. Praline bacon is the best! The menu offers so many great selections. Booyah Biscuit was excellent. Service was very good. In this nice weather dining outside is a treat. Music can be a little loud so if you wish to have a quiet conversation, pick a table not under a ceiling speaker. This will be a regular stop for us. read more

Arrived on a hot Sunday at noon for estimated 20 minute wait for a table. Waited outside. After 30 min we were second on the list. After 45 minutes we were fourth on the list. Hostess said "well what do you want me to do honey?" Guess you need to know someone to get a table. The food might be amazing but all I got was dehydrated. Note this was at Covington location but that wasn't on yelp. read more

Delicious everything is made from scratch. Best berger around it is fresh ground chuck and huge. Lots of options for toppings. You can also do the grilled chicken with All the fixin. More meat than bun!!! The praline bacon is delicious. The eggs Benedict are perfect and the kicken chick sandwich just wow. The chic Caesar is on point. Highly recommend. And the desserts that another story. From scratch. And the owners go out of their way to make it an wonderful experience. They care and listen ti their customers and staff. Great drinks also. Been here plenty of times and it's always good. We had a party of 4 for Mothers Day today and we showed up about 15 minutes before open to try and beat the craziness, our server was awesome, our food was great as usual. It took about 30 minutes for our food to come out which is definitely not bad for brunch on Mothers day. Great job to the staff! read more

CALL FIRST! We discovered the only business in America that actually doesn't NEED business. We asked about breakfast places at our baseball game and heard about this place. We drove all the way there to be told they decided to close a 1/2 hour early today!!!! So don't trust posted time-- no one wants to burn expensive gas these days wasting your time driving to a place that closes earlier than their posted time!!!! read more

Was there on a busy Sunday and, while there was a line to get a table, it went quick and we were seated within 10 minutes or so. The waitress was polite, helpful and took very good care of us. We ordered four breakfast entrees and everyone enjoyed everything they had. The food came out within a very reasonable time - especially given how busy they were. The worst part for me was that, as the last person finishing dinner, I was trying to eat my steak while multiple people were frantically grabbing everyone else's empty plates, bread plates, and silverware. They were reaching over the table grabbing things as I was still eating. While I do appreciate good service, this was overboard and detracted from my experience. I think it would be best if they would allow everyone to finish eating before removing everything from the table. I felt rushed, and I don't feel like eating an expensive meal while the entire table is being bussed. I hope they can tone this down.

They were playing good music and. I finally got in so that was a plus. There was a bit of a wait to get in but I guess that goes with the territory when you got to some place popular. I went with friends and although I am not a big breakfast person I really liked the stack of pancakes ingot here. The bacon was crisp but juicy. We love Crazy Pig, the people and food are amazing. I come for the Chicken and Waffles, best I've ever had, hands down. Our waitress, Kaitlyn, is so very amazing, I just wanted to give her a hug.
