I saw this place as I was driving nearby to another business, but they were closed by the time I got back. I am glad I made it late morning on a Saturday. I was promptly seated and asked which beverage I wanted. I ended up getting the shrimp pasta which was quite nice. Prices were reasonable, everything seemed clean. I look forward to coming back.

My husband chose Crazy Pig Southetn Kitchen for Fathers Day brunch! What a treat! Not a huge place, but considering, they can truly pack that place! Food was great and service was excellent! I recommend on a holiday you get there early! We checked in for 9:15 and we had about a 20 minute wait for a table. However when we left there was about a 45 minute wait! Definitely try this little place out!

This isba quaint little hile in the wall spot to eat. We were seating right away. The service was outstanding as the server made sure you felt welcomed and your needs were met. So many choices to choose from that it was hard to decide on what to eat. The food didnt take long to come out and it was hot and full of flavor. They are great for brunch and you can gave breakfast all day if you choose. One of my sides was mac and cheese and you can tell they make their past fresh. Highly recommend.

Shrimp and grits & added a side mac and cheese

Best shrimp and grits I've ever personally had. Absolutely loved the mac and cheese as well.

Praline bacon was delicious, and breakfast potatoes were good too. Everything else a bit dry. Place was clean and had pig pictures and figurines; very cute. Service was good. The lady helping us was friendly and polite, very nice experience overall.

I did a Google search as we were leaving Covington and the Crazy Pig came up. With a name like that, I just had to try it. We were greeted and seated quickly. We actually chose the bar bc there was a TV there and we couldn't see it where they were about to seat us. We tried the praline bacon. I think it was just okay. Tasted like bacon with honey. I didn't care for the texture bc I like my bacon crispy. I had the avocado toast and my husband had the seafood omelet. The toast was really good, the bread was thin, but it was very tasty and seasoned well. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his omelet amd it was very thick and filled with seafood. He ate half and took the other half home. The restaurant is a nice size, good amount of tables. It was clean also. The staff was okay...I'm neutral on that part because they weren't very welcoming, but they weren't rude either. It took a while to order bc we were expecting to be asked if we were ready to order, but was never asked, we had to get her attention. Drink order was taken quickly, but not the food. If you're looking for an experience, this isn't the place. If you're looking for a place to get good breakfast, stop by and enjoy.

This place deserves every high ranking they received. The menu of options makes you drool. They're super friendly and the wait staff is amazing. Gives you options and drinks stay full. Worth the drive from the city for sure. I tried the shrimp and grits. Maaaaaaaaan it was good. Perfectly seasoned. Perfect consistency to the grits. Plenty of shrimp. Came with a biscuit that was soft and delicious. Also got the praline bacon. Could have ordered more. This is what praline bacon is supposed to be. Truly lived up to the name. Even the sweet tea was real tasty. Inside was clean with plenty of tables. It did start to fill around 9am this Sunday morning. I got there at 830 and it was half full. Glad I beat the crowd but I see why there is one. Will be back

FYI, this is a review for the location in Covington, not Mandeville. The address is 500 River Highland Blvd. and has been open since May, I believe, although it doesn't seem to have a presence on Yelp. Sorta off the beaten path and easy to miss, but features a nice venue with a laid back, extremely casual atmosphere, and a southern cafe persona. Open for brunch and lunch and although not open after 2:30 pm, there is a full bar featuring standard and specialty cocktails. You would think this would be well suited to an evening crowd. We visited on a Friday for lunch and a sizable crowd suggested an established following. Staff was welcoming and efficient and service was swift. The menu is somewhat eclectic, featuring takes on southern and pseudo- southern specialties along with appetizers, salads, burgers, and sandwiches. My wife had the chicken salad on croissant with a slaw side, and I had the broiled pork South House specialty with slaw and fried okra. Both were good, but the gravy with mine was somewhat of a gummy disappointment. Overall worthwhile though, so the brunch/lunch crowd would do well to check out the Crazy Pig.

Was there on a busy Sunday and, while there was a line to get a table, it went quick and we were seated within 10 minutes or so. The waitress was polite, helpful and took very good care of us. We ordered four breakfast entrees and everyone enjoyed everything they had. The food came out within a very reasonable time - especially given how busy they were. Would definitely visit again in the future. read more

Y'all I can not rave about this place anymore because I'm sure they will issues a restraining order on me Blood orange mimosa 10/10, Roast Beef Debris fries PLEASE and THANK YOU, Shrimp and Grits someone call the ambulance cause I died and went to flavor town. The place is decorated super cute and you can but merch from them if you want to. If you are a small party of 2 or 3 don't be picky about seating. Good news is that they are serving. The hostess told me to sit where I felt comfortable. I like that! Chicken salad is excellent. I opted for the sandwich. My husband had the Gumbo and the roast beef. I think he was expecting a poor and not an open-faced sandwich. Tasted good though. Can't wait to come back for breakfast. read more

Food and service were excellent until this morning. We had Chicken Salad and CPSK Hash Skillet plus a cup of Bisque. My wife told the waiter that the Bisque had a Broth taste to it. She seems very unconcerned about it and say everyone always enjoy our Bisque. NOT EVERYONE this day. Seems very rude about the wife's comments and unwilling to bring another out. May not return for a few months. read more

You want to start your day at The Crazy Pig in Mandeville and ask for Liz. She will change your life and the food will too. You see, humans go into restaurants in all types of moods and really you never know what you're gonna get on either side of the table. Consistency in attitude and happiness is important in this industry, even on really hard days. Liz has waited on us several times and she is absolute DisneyWorld. If you are looking for great soul food on the North-Shore, look no further then "Crazy Pig Southern Kitchen" Definitely recommend it. I really don't have just one item to recommend, it is all just so good. However, the only issue I have ever had is how greasy the food gets after a little while. The "Crawfish Mac-N-Cheese" is to die for, however it gets very greasy very fast, so you have to eat it rather quickly. read more

I came here for brunch with a group of 6 on a Saturday morning and it was delicious! We were pleased to have no wait either. Right when we walked in we saw their cinnamon rolls and we were all, yes please! You don't wanna sleep on these cinnamon rolls so just order it and call it an app. We ordered 3 and they were gone in seconds. got the BLT for my entree and could not have been happier. The fried green tomato on the sandwich was perfection. It's a simple sandwich and every element has to be perfect and they nailed it. The service was also very good. Our waitress gave great menu suggestions and was really sweet. I wish this place was on the south shore so I could go more but I'll just have to make more excuses to go across the causeway. read more

Hands down, the best breakfast I've had since moving to the South five years ago. The restaurant is cute, not fussy, the kind of place you can take both your Grandma or a date. The menu is creative, with options like pork schnitzel (!) and a number of different Benedicts. The service is attentive and well-rehearsed, truly "service with a smile." And the food! I ordered the schnitzel (because I've never seen it on a breakfast menu before) and was impressed with its tender-crispy coating and juicy interior. It is served with eggs, perfectly seasoned potatoes or grits, and a softball-sized biscuit and delicious gravy. It was WAY too much food, but I put a hurtin' on that plate! My husband tried the Ponchartrain Benedict and said the crab cakes were probably the best he's ever had. It isn't cheap, but if I lived closer to the Crazy Pig, I'd be poorer and about 20 pounds heavier! read more

I absolutely LOVE The Crazy Pig! It is our favorite lunch and breakfast spot. The menu has soooo many delicious choices- some of our family favorites are the chicken and waffles, Bayou Benny Benedict, Whole Hog Benedict, shrimp and grits, the grits in general and the roasted vegetable salad. The bar is stocked, and I especially love their Bloody Mary with their pepper infused vodka. The owners are very hands on, and can be seen interacting with guests, cleaning tables and serving food. The servers are always friendly, and the atmosphere is always upbeat. My only request is that they open for dinner occasionally! read more

The bacon starter is soooo good!! I always order the BLT Benny because it's the best!! The eggs are always perfectly poached!! I recommend upgrading your grits to the city grits. They add cheese, green onion, tomato & bacon!! I can only eat a few bites of grits because I get full from the Benny so I take the grits to-go to have for breakfast the next day!! Cocktails are delicious too!! read more

We were in the area for an appointment and needed to eat. After reading reviews, we chose Crazy Pig. The whole experience was wonderful! From the decor and atmosphere to the wonderful food and service. I had avacado toast with eggs..hands down best I've had in Louisiana. Interference is a Mandeville dive bar…read more I am on a quest to go to new bars. Normally this quest takes place in New Orleans, but last night it brought me to Interference. I pass this bar nearly every day and have always wondered how it was, but never stopped in. I was a tad overdressed since I was coming from La Provence, but I didn't care. The bar is pretty well lit for a dive. They could probably have turned out 3/4 of the lights to make it more divey. There was a pool table and a very long shuffleboard table. Shuffleboard in bars is an excellent concept. I never had been to a bar in Nola with shuffleboard, but this is the second Northshore bar with a table that I know of. The bar is very long and lined with bar stools. Above the bar there were four TVs all tuned to sports. The area next to the shuffleboard table has around 10 or so tables and chairs which was a nice place to sit and drink. There is also an area for a band, but there wasn't a show last night.
