I went to Cre8ive after having a bad experience with another shop, hoping this would be better. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any business. When I first met Mike, the owner, he seemed nice and showed me some of their work that impressed me. He told me the equipment I bought from another shop (Slangin Sound) was "trash," and assured me he could work within my budget of 3-4k. He said he would build me a custom enclosure, add an amp, tint my windows and even add some lighting, claiming it wouldn't be more than a few hundred extra. At that point, I felt comfortable moving forward. But once I dropped off my car, everything changed. He initially told me not to worry about the cost, then suddenly demanded $3,200 midway through, before the work was even close to finished. When I hesitated, he pressured me and even questioned whether I had the money. Later, he demanded another $5,000, threatening to rip everything out of my car if I didn't pay. Way above what we talked about and he told me if I didn't like it, he'd just keep the equipment and I could take my car as is. So I had no choice but to pay at that point. The workmanship was terrible. The tint job was sloppy, with bubbles and even a chunk missing on the driver's door. My car had a large scratch on the hood and was covered in overspray on the paint, windows, and trim. His "fix" was dabbing off-color nail polish on the scratch, which made it look even worse. When I asked about the stereo not sounding right, his response was "f*** you." At that point I knew I wasn't going to get anything resolved. On top of that, he refused to give me any receipts, invoices, or proof of purchase for the equipment I supposedly paid for. That is not only unprofessional, it is shady and illegal. Cre8ive is untrustworthy, unprofessional, and potentially criminal in how they treat customers. They took advantage of me financially, delivered terrible workmanship, damaged my vehicle, and refused to provide documentation for the expensive equipment I purchased. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid this place entirely. There are plenty of reputable audio shops out there--this is not one of them. read more

I cannot advise against dealing with this company strongly enough. Here's the story: We were referred to this place for a tint job on my wife's new VW GTI SE in perfect condition. When we met with the owner and his new tint guy for our appointment, they upsold us on ceramic tint, which sounded great living in the valley. When picking up the car later that afternoon, I didn't notice any immediate flaws doing a quick circle around the car (there was a dust storm earlier that dirtied all the windows) prior to paying the $700 invoice. The owner also mentioned that if there are any flaws that they should resolve themselves in the next 48hours. During the drive home I noticed a significant bubble in the windshield tint right in the driver's line of sight. I wasn't immediately alarmed because of the disclaimer regarding flaws. We also began to notice other issues like one of the rear windows had a scratch in the tint and there were random little bubbles on several of the windows. There were also several creases in the windshield tint on the passenger side. After relaying our concerns, we setup a time to come back to have them addressed. This is where thing really went downhill. We come to pick up the car and his tint guy said he had to do the windshield 7 times (little bit of a red flag)! After looking at it, there's a flaw/scuff on the drivers side that I noticed right away. There was also a scratch in the tint in the same window that they just replaced it in! I also pointed out the pinhead sized bubbles in several of the windows which they chalked up to dust in the air. It looked like the type as someone putting on a cell phone screen protector and not removing all the dust underneath. My wife also notices a scuff on the front passenger side A-pillar trim, a scuff on the driver's side dash, as well as scratches on the rear driver's side door window. Everything was adding up to go with their stance that this was an acceptable level of product and work. The owner agrees to replace the A-pillar trim, remove the tint, and refund our money. Fast forward a couple weeks, after they dodged our text messages for several days, I call to ask about the trim and if it has come in yet. He says there was nothing wrong with it, even after initially seeing the scuff with his own eyes and saying he was going to order it from VW prior to us leaving that day, and to pound sand. The entire interaction was an utter and complete detriment. If you value your property, time, and money, stay far away! read more

I only write reviews for exceptional jobs, really poor service and if it contradicts current reviews. Just so you know, I currently relocated from WA and I live in Peoria. I saw high rates from this place, albeit from 2 people, I decided to give it a try. So you can imagine the effort for me to get my car in. I called to have an automatic car starter installed. They were quick enough to schedule me to the soonest available considering they have to order parts. I also ordered window tinting. I had an automatic car starter installed in my other car so I know it takes a while to do it. I decided to find a ride so I can drop off my car for a full day service. I got my car on time and I even got a discount on the car tinting. Then the nightmare began. First, I noticed that my a/c was blowing HOT air above 65 F so I know it's not from the freon or something. I called and he asked me to bring the car the following day. Since I don't have that liberty I told him I'll have to make arrangements. He didn't think it's from the installation but the thermostat sensor of my Lexus is under the dash board where they installed the unit. But what do I know. Then I noticed that the rearview mirror was VERY shaky. And all of a sudden, it fell off the windshield. So far it happened twice. See pic. Then the side panel where they run the cords were not clipped in properly. See pic. I called back to have someone bring my car but they don't have anything scheduled until the following week. So I suppose I can just have to deal with my a/c and my rearview mirror. The window tinting service was great. The setting of appointment was phenomenal. But dealing with complaints was so-so. I hate it when they become defensive. The guy kinda said "so you're accusing us breaking your car." Well no accusation was made. But logic suggests, that if it was working before and it didn't after they were done with it, something happened in the process. If I live nearby, I'll have them fix it. Since I live in Peoria, I'll just take my car to the Lexus dealer. read more

It was done within the same day and he had set it up to where it's not in the way of everything. He even offered to drill the bass knob into the driver side if I was okay with it (which I was) so that it'll stay in place and easy to reach when driving. OK, so Mike did my mini van back in 2012ish with a SMALL budget & I LOVED IT! (RIP minivan 200K miles later) Then I couldnt remember the name of the original shop to save my life. =( So I went through 4 different shops (Cardinal, & house of sound being the more known ones) One disaster after another, throwing more money away only to be unhappy. I made a decision to FIND the shop that did my minivan some years before after the house of sound disappointment. It took me days, searching facebook for pics in the month it was installed, taking that to the credit card company to go through old statements & FINALLY found the name. Course they changed names...& that added to my delay, but I found Mike @ Cre8tive Auto & will NEVER go anywhere else. I gave him a budget, what I wanted & that was it. Now I have my car, he went above and beyond with attention to detail & my wife & I are both happy with our systems. Both cars look factory & the sound doesnt "just rattle the trunk" I can HEAR the full spectrum of the music Im listening to & for those "thats my JAAAMM" songs...I crank it up & it kicks in my ear drum & brings me to the time the song was made special to me! He CAN do the low budget installs but EXCELS in installs where you have a little flexibility with what you want to spend. Either way, he puts his everything into each install & makes you feel like you are a VIP. I can also say he didnt let my car leave until he addressed ALL questions I had & was 100% satisfied. BEST part, I know if I have ANY issues, he will back his work & fix it if something goes wrong. (not that it did on the minivan, so I dont expect any issues here until I have a little more money to upgrade components if I so choose.) Highly recommend for amazing sound in any vehicle. I have a 2000 Ford Mustang convertible. Mike replaced the stereo, all the speakers, installed two amps and custom built a speaker box for the single 10 inch woofer in the trunk. The custom box and single woofer saved a lot of space in my already tiny trunk. He also reinforced the doors and trunk so no rattles! Mike is a good guy, does great work and knows quality car audio. He also set up the equalizer for me and it sounds fantastic! I'm going to Mike for all of my car audio needs in the future, and I live 45 minutes away! read more

They just weren't too interested in listening to what I wanted or offering options based on my budget. One even told me to kick rocks because I have a VW. Then I landed at Cre8ive with an expert named Mike. He understood my love for music and had tons of options based on my budget and what I was looking for. That's very important to me, being listened to, and I appreciated it very much. I drove out of there with a finished product that more than exceeded my expectations. One thing that really stood out about Mike's shop was the very high end caliber of the other cars and the fact that Mike is trusted with them.
