I contacted Audio by TJ about getting a remote start installed in my 2015 Tacoma. TJ explained all the different systems and options to me, and I decided to have the Clifford 5706v installed the following week. One the date of the install, I showed up and TJ had already began working on part of the wiring harness for the remote start. When TJ showed it to me, I couldn't help but notice the amount of attention to detail that he paid while making it, as it was clearly evident. Simply put, there was no way that I could have done any type of wiring remotely close to how TJ wired this thing. I would have had wires crimped together and it would have looked like a bowl of spaghetti noodles. TJ on the other hand used soldered connections for everything, and had the entire wiring harness neatly organized. I can now see why it pays to pay a professional to install these. Anyways, I left and then came back a few hours later after TJ called and told me that my truck was ready. When I arrived, TJ went over all the functions of the system with me, and ensured that I knew how to use everything before I left. Customer service was top notch, and so was TJ's knowledge of the Clifford 5706v remote start / alarm. As far as the system goes, it is working great! There is supposed to be a 1 mile range on the remote start, and I haven't tested it that far yet, but I did test the system from across the mall parking lot and it worked like a charm. A/C was blowing nice and cold by the time I got to my truck, which is primarily what I bought it for. Also, the alarm feature works nicely as well. Not just for if someone opens a door, but I also noticed that it gives a warning at times such as if I have the alarm armed and then close the tailgate a little too hard. All in all, there are a lot of great features with the system, and TJ installed it at a very nice price. In closing, if you do not know TJ personally, or have not gotten any work done by him in the past, I HIGHLY suggest that you contact him for any of your car audio / remote start / alarm needs. As I said earlier, his attention to detail is second to none, and his knowledge of the systems that he installs is top notch as well. Pair this with nice pricing, and attentive customer service, and there is really no way that you can go wrong with using Audio by TJ. read more
