I've tried many a Cream ice cream sandwich, but have never been impressed. The only reason I always come back is because different friends always get caught up in the hype and demand we stop by. The portions are big, which I would appreciate if I actually wanted that big of a mediocre at best ice cream sandwich. The cookies are okay, just average cookies. The ice cream is harder for me to explain. The closest thing I can compare it to is the cheap ice cream you buy at safeway. It has a sort of oily taste and texture to it as it starts to melt. It's terribly sweet and cannot be consumed in large quantities. I have yet to finish one Cream ice cream sandwich by myself. I either share it with a willing friend, or have to toss it out. Went to Cream tonight, and got the White Chocolate Macadamia Cookie with Royal Carmel Swirl Ice Cream. My family was with me too, and they got there own custom ice cream sandwiches. I enjoyed the combination I ordered, and would definitely come back to try other ice cream and cookie combinations. The cookies alone is worth coming back to Cream. Staff is friendly, and getting your ice cream was pretty quick. They have a good variety of cookies and ice cream to choose from. You can also get toppings on your ice cream for $0.75 extra. Parking wasn't too bad tonight, but I am sure on the weekend parking will be a battle. The one thing I didn't like was the payment process. Everything was attached to an iPad that you pushed buttons, and then you were done. Even though it seemed quick, I felt rushed to move on because there was a line of people waiting to pay. I would have a liked a physical receipt. I paid with my credit card, and the gentleman who took my payment didn't ask for my ID. This was my only complaint. read more

I heard about this place having GF cookie so thought I give it a try. Went there on Sat just when it opened. I told the server that I was allergic to wheat/gluten and it is not a choice and asked what are my options besides the cookie. She seemed confused and read the ingredients on one of the tubs of ice cream and then tells me that all the ice cream are GF except for cookie dough and cheesecake (is this true? your ice cream is made in a GF environment?) She went to the freezer and got the cookie and proceeded to warm them up in their own bag (points for not putting it directly on the rack) but she did use the same glove opening the warming over to handled the cookie (I mention this as I saw her handle non-GF cookies and opening the same door handle) as this can have cross-contamination. She could have been more careful by grabbing another piece of wax paper to cover the handle prior to opening as her glove already touched the GF cookie. She did put 2 single piece of wax paper on the same counter to prepare the cookie sandwich. ice cream sandwich with GF cookies, 4.99, that is 1.99 for the cookies and 3.00 for single scoop. The ice cream taco is 4.99 with 3 scoops with cookie shell. the GF cookie was good but not sure it was worth 4.99. I gave this experience a 3 star only because of the GF experience as there was a real cross contamination risk for someone allergic to wheat/gluten. It was not busy when I was there so cross contamination was minimized but I think if it was packed with people waiting, the cross contamination might be greater. Would I bring my GF friends here? The cost is on the high side but for good GF, one has to pay. But the possible cross contamination is a big deal and not worth the issues afterwards. read more

Cream has something for everyone! I'm impressed with how many vegan options they provide compared to other ice cream/frozen yogurt shops. They usually have about three to four soy based ice cream flavors and three different types of vegan cookies. Since I have a huge sensitivity to animal products, I am pleased with how accommodating and cautious they are about cross contamination (asking if they should change their gloves, using different ice cream scoop, etc). My mom and I came here yesterday evening for the first time, and the service was great! We sampled some flavors but decided to have dinner first before ordering. We came back to order after dinner and got a total of 4 pints. I mentioned the power being out in Sunnyvale, and the cashier offered a bag of ice to keep our ice cream cold until getting home and settled. This amazed me because I have never (in all my years of ice cream eating) been offered ice to keep my ice cream cold. My favorite flavors are pistachio, rum raisin, and mint chip! Delicious! I got the chocalcoholic ice cream sandwiched between double chocolate chip and turtle cookies. The double chocolate chip cookie was a little burnt and the turtle cookie was hard but the ice cream was really good. My significant other had the strawberry cheesecake (which has the taste of strawberries but not the cheese cake with a chocolate chip cookie and a macadamia. The chocolate chip cookie was super soft and moist. I didn't try the macadamia cookie but my SO liked it. read more

I came in and they were playing that linkin park song "in the end it doesn't even matter" or whatever it's called. Seems like CREAM is everywhere these days! You can't beat the price - $2.99 for a sandwich with two large cookies and a generous scoop of ice cream in the middle. My only complaint is that the cookies are a little crisper than I like - I prefer em fresh out of the oven, soft in the middle, oozing melted chocolate chips. Came here again. This time, I learned my lesson when getting an ice cream sandwich. I asked for the freshly baked cookies, which happened to include chocolate chip (Yum!!). I got the Creamfetti (which was so good) and chocolate chip cookies with the cookies n cream ice cream. I will start by saying I love the desert here so my one star is not for the food. The employees were great. Then when I got to the register to pay (there is usually an iPad there to sign and give a tip if you choose but it was off) the employee tells me my total is $17 just before he swiped my card. Then he hands me back the card and receipt. I noticed on the receipt after I left that the total was in fact $21 because they added a $4 tip to my total. I know this wasn't an accident because he confirmed what I was being charged... is it common practice for this place to upcharge you without consent, or a signature, or the option to add the tip yourself? And how many people actually check their receipt anyway? I always leave a tip but to be upcharged like that without consent? Super shady read more

Had to see what all the hype was about. I went to UCLA where Diddy Reise is the measuring stick. This place doesn't compare. The not enough turnover so they have to warm the cookies instead of getting a freshly baked cookie. And at the end of the night, they didn't have all the cookies available. It's still ice cream, so can't complain, but I'd rather just get a ice cream sandwich from the freezer department at Safeway for a quarter of the price. read more

i had an ice cream sandwich with a scoop of coffee ice cream, a turtle cookie and a snickerdoodle. coffee ice cream was creamy and good and was like any good coffee ice cream. the turtle cookie was very meh- my friend highly recommended it, but i don't really like chocolate cookies already so that wasn't a good idea. it was also really hard, especially when compared to the soft and chewy snickerdoodle. tried my friends' soy blueberry and banana walnut fudge. both were pretty good, and i have a feeling most of the ice creams here are tasty. read more

Yum. This is still one of my favorite dessert places. For 3 dollars you get a big scoop of ice cream sandwiched between two freshly baked cookies. What else can you ask for. I've never had a bad experience at any of the locations and particularly like this one because it is so close to where i live. Been here many times now. Always great service! Always tasty food!! Always the same complaint last which are far from deal breakers. 1st the parking set up is rough. The businesses here share the parking with a apartment/condo community so parking can be a challenge. 2nd they need to open a location in Seattle. Doesn't look like a clean place, we found a paper in ice cream tub, the table where they make the sandwich was not clean. Lot of leftover residual cream there. What is a dairy free, gluten free girl to do when she gets a sweet tooth?! Head over to CREAM, of course! I used to love coming here prior to acknowledging my food sensitivities, so I was thrilled when I found out they offer gluten free cookies and soy ice cream. As for gluten free cookies, they offer chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, and white chocolate fudge. For soy ice cream, they offer mint chocolate chip and blueberry. For my ice cream sandwich, I always get mint chocolate chip between two chocolate chip cookies. It is delicious and not much different from their traditional cookies and ice cream. Employees are friendly and upon ordering, each time I am asked if I have a gluten free allergy, as they are willing to change their gloves. I really appreciate how accommodating they are. My only recommendation would be more soy ice cream flavors. :) read more

It's so overrated. There was nothing special about their ice cream. In fact, the taste of the ice cream was like it's been in the freezer for too long. I ordered the brownie sundae. SUPER disappointed. my daughter asked for a chocolate chip cookie dough milkshake (i always get this) from a worker named JACOB (supposidly)... it was really watery & tasted like peanuts! i asked if he could make me another flavor & he told me no, it's my fault for choosing that flavor & that i had to buy another one because they don't do that here... he was really rude & he ended up calling his manager. he told me that they'll only do it this once for me... coward went to the back (without replacing my shake) and had another person re-make my order.
