The ice cream comes out very cold and creamy due to their use of liquid nitrogen, which also adds some flair to the whole experience. This also means their ice cream doesn't melt as quickly, which allows you to enjoy your ice cream at a slower pace haha. They offer a decent amount of flavors but nothing truly unique in my opinion. First time trying it and I loved it! The employee was helpful in explaining the process. We got two different ones to try, a regular matcha with almonds and a pre-made creation, Captains Breakfast. Really cute, fun place for friends, kids, visitors, dates, everyone! It definitely is pricey but the ice cream is super creamy and reflects high quality. A regular is a very generous portion. Tip: the toppings aren't really on top but are mixed in. I do think the additional $1 for toppings is a little steep and aren't really necessary as the ice cream is so rich. We got the regular milk (they were out of organic). One with Reese's and brownie topping (again, this was mixed in) and another with bing cherries. They were both delicious. The way it's prepared is fun to watch, especially for kids so make sure they don't miss all the steamy fun. As for the ambiance, it's fresh and clean inside with a good number of tables. Normally a wonderful experience. This last time we got coconut milk with chocolate, marshmallows, and almond large ice creams... but they totally didn't use coconut milk and I got so sick as I'm allergic. I didn't realize until halfway through and already home. The label said coconut milk. But something got mixed up, and you guys were extremely busy with call in orders. Just be careful with what milk base you use, as it is harmful to those who need the alternatives. I also saw one of the employees get one of the Cookie Monster ice cream mixes on her hand and go to another bowl without changing gloves. This is fine if you are working with dairy to dairy, but not to alternative mixes. Like I said, in the past we've had nothing but great experiences. read more

I yelped this place on my way back from LA. It was Cleaned and fresh inside. The cashier explained to me how everything works and even added, "unlimited toppings". Better than soft serve or so delicious if you're looking for vegan ice cream. Was my first time there. The white spoons change to pink with the cold! I got vanilla bean with coconut base and banana slices and Nutella sauce. I haven't been out for ice cream in years and this makes me never wanna get a pint of so delicious again. Captain crunch flavored ice cream topped with strawberries, bananas, Nutella sauce, and whipped cream. It was heavenly! Where else in Bakersfield can you find cereal flavored ice cream?! They make their waffle cones fresh when you order them! The entire place was spotless - where the made the ice cream and where you sat. I've noticed a lot of ice cream places in town aren't necessarily the cleanest - everything is sticky and just seems to have a layer of grime. That wasn't the case here! Overall, we spent more on our ice cream than we would have somewhere else but I felt like it was worth it. Finally was able to give this little jewel a try. As you walk in the place is diffidently up to date in decor. Behind the plexiglass window separating you from the some 5 workers are what appears to be some kitchen aide mixers that are on steroids. The entire process does take some time so if you are thinking that you'll order and have you creation in just a few moments you might me mad that it takes a while. Every order that is placed is made to order. Meaning you ice cream creation is start from liquid. You have multiple choices to make from just the regular milk to premium cream and even coconut milk. Then there are multiple toppings to choice. As you sit and wait you can watch the entire process take fold. The staff is super friendly and great you with a big welcome to Creamistry as you walk in. The nitrogen blast that freezes your liquid comes rolling out from under the glass. The little ones love this. Then the bowl gets moved to the nest station where you toppings are added and missed. I would say depending on the crowd you finally get you creation in about 10-15 minutes. When you do get the ice cream that you chose you will find that it will be some of the creamiest ice cream in town and for some reason it seems to stay together without melting like the others in town. The price is a little on the high side however I think the quality diffidently speaks for the price. We are looking forward to returning and trying some of the other flavors they offer....
