It was *so* good, we actually came back once more before the end of our trip! My only suggestion would be, is to offer a half sandwich option for those of us with smaller appetites. I loved their bagel flavors - I ended up getting cheddar hot honey, chili garlic crunch and an everything bagel with a container of scallion cream cheese. I was in and out in two minutes tops! I went home to make some eggs, turkey bacon, avocado, and matcha to make a nice breakfast at home and it fully satisfied my craving. The everything bagel had a great amount of topping, the chili garlic crunch had a nice heat, and the cheddar hot honey was perfectly sweet with a cheesy crust. I would probably mainly get a half dozen to go again, but the shop had a great ambiance and I wouldn't mind eating there and taking a walk around the neighborhood. The Eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked, the croissant sandwich was flaky and packed with flavor, and the ricotta toast with prosciutto and peaches was a combination I wasn't expecting to enjoy this much. Every dish looked beautiful and tasted just as good. But the real surprise was the Pistachio Latte. It was honestly one of the best specialty lattes I've had in a long time. I finished my first one during breakfast and liked it so much that I ordered another one to go before heading out to walk around Manhattan Beach. It's my birthday month and I received the email stating I was getting a free personal pizza for my birthday - but I need to redeem it in the next 7 days. So, not going to let that get by me so we jumped on the opportunity and went early. My wife and I went in today and luckily, no one was behind us as it took a while to get the email / app / free pizza offer to register. It did not show up on the app, it did not show up when I opened the email on my phone and clicked redeem now. But, it did show up when I entered my phone number into the register. Matthew was very helpful, and patient, making sure I received my perk. Thank you. Plus, today, and I don't know when they started it, they had an entire large pizza, on a table, right by the door, offering free pieces (not full slices but cut more in the tavern style (squares) to allow more to enjoy it. Hey, who doesn't like free pizza? What a nice surprise. Worth a shot if you are in the area, even if they don't have samples out. Enjoy!!!

While good, the cheese was a little skimp (not all the way to the edges) and the sausage was scattered randomly (some pieces had one piece of sausage, while others had 5). Did I like it? Yeah. The guy at the counter was friendly and welcoming, and even delivered our sandwiches to us as we sat outside at one of the shaded tables - it was pleasant if you need a spot to eat versus taking it to go. One thing I really like on a sando is shredduce. It just makes a sandwich taste better. Not sure why. Ghost got it right. It wasn't busy shortly after opening on a Sunday, which was nice. So, this is the new issue with Sidecar in Manhattan Beach this morning…read more... When you can't even get a dozen doughnuts from a doughnut shop to take to work, BEFORE work...there's some major operational failures that need to be remedied. I work at the airport and we're unable to get app based food deliveries. They can't even come into the airport. So, I usually order Sidecar on my way to work and have the driver meet me at the LAX Metro Transit Center, before hopping on the shuttle to my terminal. I placed an order for a DOZEN through Uber Eats at 6:35 a.m. And this is the message I get from Maya. I call the store and ask them to cancel it. 5 minutes later it's still not canceled, so I call back and BEG them "PLEASE CANCEL THE ORDER?!" and the young lady with such a bad attitude replies "We will cancel the order, don't worry about that." and I say "Can you cancel it while I'm on the phone?! I want to know it's been canceled!" Her smart ass reply was that "You're gonna have to wait, becauee there's no manager here, but you'll receive a notification when it's canceled" so I ask "You can't cancel an order without a manager?" and the girl says "No." then I ask "Can I have your name, please?" and with an audible grin on her face, she says "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...."and I said" OK! That's fine!" and hung up. Minutes later, the order was canceled. Sounds like Sidecar has some real superstars working at their Manhattan Beach store. Also, this was a delivery order and the fact that she even thought it was for pickup and casually says to wait an hour and a half before pickup at 7 in the morning incompetence and a total lack of consideration at its finest. It hurts, because I really do like Sidecar and have for about 3 years. I've introduced many to their doughnuts, but spending $60 on a dozen, just to get treated like you're a joke is abhorrent.

As someone who isn't particularly tech-savvy, I was pretty confused at first. Eventually, I watched another customer open a locker and retrieve their food, and everything started to make sense. I received a text with instructions to open a locker and collect my order. Before leaving, I checked the receipt stapled to the bag--thankfully I did! It wasn't my name and wasn't the food I ordered. I went back inside and tried to get someone's attention at the service window, which took a little while. A friendly employee attempted to locate my order but couldn't find it, so he called over another staff member, who I assume was a manager. Unfortunately, the interaction wasn't as pleasant. He repeatedly asked for my name, even after I had provided it several times, and eventually informed me--somewhat abruptly--that another delivery driver had taken my order and that I needed to contact "the company I worked for." After clarifying that I wasn't a delivery driver and had ordered the food for myself, his tone changed. He contacted Organico, and they agreed to remake my meal. My pickup time was supposed to be 1:00 PM, but my replacement order wasn't ready until about 1:35 PM. As for the food, I ordered the tuna salad. I love beets and was excited about the combination. The salad was good overall, but the flavor profile wasn't what I expected. There was a very tart, vinegary element that caught me off guard. The brussels sprouts tasted more pickled than caramelized, which wasn't my preference. I'm not sure if that was intentional or if the remake affected the preparation, but the vinegar flavor was quite strong. I also ordered the iced salted caramel latte. It was okay--not particularly memorable--but the double shot of espresso definitely helped me get through the rest of my workday. Overall, the food was decent, but the pickup experience was confusing and frustrating enough that it overshadowed the meal.
