From the moment when she reached out that she might be able to see me a little sooner than our appointment time, to having greeted me and sat me down in her chair all until she sent me home with a big smile on my face and recommended products in hand--I COULD NOT BE MORE HAPPY WITH MY EXPERIENCE. Alyssa took into consideration the change I wanted to apply to my look and she understood the assignment FULLY. I can not say enough good things about how very professional she was with her overall approach, how empathetic she was to my transformation and visit at the salon. We enjoyed a wonderful conversation and connected on a level that felt like I had known her for a long time. She made me feel comfortable, heard, seen and understood. They are not so stay woke yelp friends. I called ahead to make an appointment for my Tweenager, 10 going on 30. She picked out an edgy asymmetrical style that I don't believe just anyone can do it. I did not want it butchered as she had beautiful long locks. I expressed my desire of having someone being able to do it and they had someone in mind. Christel did an outstanding job. Spending hours at a salon watching my daughter get half her head razor cut is not my idea of fun, normally. I in no way wanted to rush perfection. My daughters excitement and the radical change before me was so inspiring to document. I also wanted to be done up, so I made arrangements to come back and get some red low-lights in my hair. My makeover took much longer and the result no where as fun but appropriate for a mommy who sometimes wants to be bad. I love it.

This is how good she is: I could shave my head bald & my husband wouldn't notice. This is the ONLY time, twice now - he has ever told me he loves my "new" hair. Loves the highlights and thinks my cut is "short & sassy," I am moving to the Island - wind and humidity are not my friends. She gave me a cut that is wash & go & the highlights give it dimension & makes me look like I actually have body in my hair & wo product or hot tools!! Wash, scrunch, air dry. That's it! I will be coming back over the Causeway to Total Technique for sure. Also, she has excellent taste in boutique items. I always leave w/something really nice & unique. One of the stylists explained that the owner had something come up, but that she "thought she had contacted all her clients the night before." Guess what, owner, there's a reason you'll never ever have a five-star rating. Heck, you're lucky it's coming in as a three! The salon was not clean, the girls at other stations were walking in and out between clients, loitering on the sidewalk, on the phone, just tacky. I will NOT be going back, nor would I ever recommend.

The owner, SISTER YVETTE did my color job and it came out SPECTACULAR- vivid and radiant. The starter locs were not appealing to me and after a very positive and constructive discussion, Yvette, as true to her word on her website, did refund the fee for the locs, in fact she did refund more than what we had agreed upon was fair. Overall it was an experience for growth for both of us. I do recommend Yve's Hair Studio.

From the beginning the woman, I believe her name is Becky, but I can't be sure, did the worst job. I had to remind her to put a topcoat on my pedicure. This should've been the moment I said she wasn't doing my nails, but that was my mistake. I asked for almond shaped nails, I literally showed her the picture with the color. I asked for DND and they said they didn't have it, but they did. So weird. Anyway, she starts to do my nails and she makes them stiletto. I did not show her a picture of sharp pointed nails, I've showed her a picture of rounded nails. Then she put them on all wonky. I spent way too long telling her she was doing it wrong. So, she starts to take off the stilettos to put on new almond shaped and she type the nails that were wrong down to where my fingernail was and left the base of the nail on my nail. So basically she was putting another nail tip on top of the nail tip attached to my finger. I can't even explain it it was so dumb. She literally either doesn't know how to do her job or doesn't want to do her job, but either way she didn't do her job. In conclusion, my nails immediately started lifting, these were brand new nails on top of nails that hadn't been done in a year. There's no reason for lifting ever. Do not go here, you will regret every penny that you spend.

I told her I wanted a French tip nail and this is what she gave me. The next day I came in asking for a refund or for them to completely take it off my Nails And to get a new set she would not give me a refund, I mean, who wants their nails looking like this this is absolutely unacceptable and terrible, they do not use sterile supplies, when going to nail shops, you were supposed to see them open a sterile pack with the supplies that they're about to use, they do not do that. Please be safe when coming to these nail shops.
