I have been going to this salon since 2004. I always make sure that I schedule all my hair appointments with Tai. She is great. :) I have been to other places before and every other place has left my hair dry and brittle. Friendly staff, $25 for mani pedi. The only thing is cash only for tips and they charge extra if you use your credit card for payment. I tried a haircut once, in desperate need for a trim but wasn't very happy with outcome. ended up with uneven layers but at least the woman did not cut my hair short so it grew fast. I've been coming here for almost a year now and I absolutely appreciate their customer service. Kim always does my pedicure and she takes her time making sure my nails look A1. Tammy does my manicure and sometimes fills. They do such a great job. There's also other services they do in which you can just have a full pampering day. My regular wax lady wasn't available today and I was rushing out of town! Ohh the horror! So Good old yelp lead me to Creative Salon and Spa. Cindy waxed my eye brows and Nikki did my Brazilian. I am very satisfied with both of them. The Brazilian wax is never enjoyable, but Nikki made sure I was comfortable and did a great job. I will be back next month! read more

I had been looking for a decent nail salon in the area; Yelp turned me on to this; the ladies couldn't have been nicer! Decent price for a mani/pedi and I decided to spring for a facial, too. I love this place all the staff is so nice! I have been to so many nail salons and by far this is my favorite its so peaceful and they do a great job in anything they do. Ok so i found this salon near where i live and i thought heck why not give it try. I went 3 times to get my nails done and it was an "ok" manicure. (the old place i use to go to "wass wayyyy" better, and cheap). Anywho to make things short the lady asked me to take my nail polish off, and i was shocked "like isnt that your job?! i am paying 17$ bucks for this". She did a mediocre job Didn't even bother to ask me about any in- grown toe nails,(the old nail salon would have done that without asking -_-).. The boss lady at this salon is so careless when manicuring, she talks and looks away for a long while, when shes using sharp tools around your nails. (NOT CAREFUL AT ALL) ..i got cut more than once and she didn't even apologize she acted like nothing happened. Also DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE.! i went for a color change and brought a picture to show them how i wanted it, and unfortunately the boss lady was going to once again do it. (i should of ran when i had the chance) .. so im like "ok shes the boss she must have alot of experience under her belt and know what shes doing".. WRONG!!!! the color was way off and when it told her i didnt like it, she sorta got mad and said that "that was the color on the picture".. the odasity of this woman. ! she was refusing to except my opinion and said it looked good on me but then again im the one thats paying, i have the final saying right? i absolutely hate it. and they still charged me $115.. they DIDN'T even offer to correct it, free of charge. I mean as buisness people isnt their costumers happiness worth it. Guess not! lastly, if you arent ederly, caucasian, or asian dont go here. I have been coming to Creative Salon for 10 years. All the ladies are sweet caring and experts at their craft. Nikki is THE BEST for permanent make-up! A real pro. went in today 4/16/2010 for a manipedi for me & pedicure for my dtr. we were told to have a seat & put our feet in the blue colored water at the spa chairs. I asked if water was suppose to be cold & my dtr said hers was really cold. the lady helping me asked me to move to another chair because the spa didn't work at that chair so i moved as asked but then again i asked water should be cold. the ladies started talking in their on language & she let water out but then put in real scolding hot water, still talking in their language. I told her "Dear I don't think that even you would put your hands in that very HOT water. she got up & start to Yell at me something about not having patients with me calling me names. so while my dtrs toe nails were just cut. we both got up and left the male owner which was at The Hair After before. Come up & tried to apologize but that rude lady( I would shouldn't call her a lady) started yelling at him as well in their language. she was very rude. I wouldn't recommend this place even if it was the last place to have your nails done. I don't mind you talking in your language but don't you know it is rude to do in front of some that does not speak that language. come on know your are in America. take some pride in being here or go back to your country & see if you will be as free as you are here.... read more

THE BEST! Than has been cutting my hair for the past 3 years and I couldn't be happier. He is so kind, accommodating, talented, and his prices are very reasonable. I moved further away, but I still won't let anyone else touch my hair because Than does such a great job. I have also gotten manicures and pedicures here, both of which are top notch. They are extremely clean, which is very important to me. Also, unlike the majority of LA, parking is a breeze here. read more

It's been a very long time since I've been here. But I'm glad I decided to stop in. Didn't have an appointment was able to get a pedi and eyebrow/lip wax. Tu did my pedi and I am a fan! She was personable without being nosy and educated me on some of the types of manicures and affects on nails. Love the job she did on me! Cindy did my waxing and she's so great. Really takes her time to make sure her work is clean and what the customer wants. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience. The salon is very clean and I appreciate that they only spoke in English while I was there. Will definitely be returning in the future. read more

I recommend this place to everyone, and all my girls at work go here too and love it. I finally found the kind of nail place I've been looking for... one that I can go back to regularly and feel at home. It goes beyond getting an amazing technical job on my pedicures and eyebrow waxings and gel nails. It's so much more than just the work that makes you want to come back. Nikki and her entire staff greet you warmly, make you feel like you are part of the conversation (often translating from Vietnamese). We end up gossiping and laughing like friends. These women are such hard workers, and FUNNY and they know my name and the place is CLEAN and it's kind of a one-stop shop... I get my hair done there too and it looks amazing at half the price I paid elsewhere. If you trust no other reviewer, TRUST ME.. They have no respect for appointment times-don't even bother. I made a 2:15 mani-pedi appointment, but after waiting for 40 minutes (after my appt. time), I just walked out. The atmosphere was crowded and chaotic and there was no sign in sight that anyone was going to attend to me anytime soon. This has happened there before with haircut appointments, as well. I have been going to this salon for a few months, and the quality really depends on which lady does your nails. I've had decent mani-pedis from Lily and Cindy. But today was the second time Tina cut my cuticles LITERALLY to the point where one was bleeding! Last time it happened she never even said "sorry" and this time she mumbled a barely audible apology then kept on working. Each time she used any cuticle cream or oil or massage lotion, I cringed because it stings once the area has been cut. She also continuously wiped away any excess polish from the skin on the side of my nail by using her thumbnail, which smudged some of the nail she had just polished near the skin. I finally got angry enough and just got up and went to pay for my daughter's mani. When the other ladies heard me talking to the man at the counter, some of them offered to fix/finish my nails, but I just wanted to leave. I showed all of them the sore area and the guy at the counter charged me half for my half-finished mani. They were all very apologetic and one went to get me some ointment for the sore cuticle, but I will not go back. I might have considered it if the guy had said "no charge," of course not with Tina. Two chances is enough! They lost 2 fairly consistent customers because of this. read more
