I ended up getting my nails redone by Hannie, and she was able to recreate the original design I had wanted from the start. I called to make an appointment and was able to make one without any issues. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated. We had a bit of a wait because, it was prom. We met our friend from church here as well. My daughter went first since her nails were going to be way more involved. Chloe did her nails and did a fabulous job! They turned out absolutely amazing! They gave me a quote and I approved it, but it ended up being a little bit less. Our friend and I just got the deluxe gel manicures with the sugar scrub, lotion massage and paraffin wax with hot towel treatment. I was in heaven! Mia did my manicure and she was excellent! The place is super cute with pink and floral decor and playing great country music. They accept cards, cash and Zelle. $2 transaction fee for cards. Super easy to tip with Zelle as well. If you pay cash, they have a stamp program to get $20 off after you spend a certain amount and fill the stamp card. We will definitely be back! Luckily I'm very easy and simple so it didn't take long to do what I needed but it was very happy they were able to do both services. I came in for a blowout and deep conditioning treatment and loved the whole experience. The salon is super cute, really clean, and tucked into this adorable little neighborhood near downtown Ontario. Also plenty of street parking which, respectfully, matters lol. Cynthia was SO detailed with my blowdry and I left with the prettiest, bouncy, voluminous curls. But honestly one of my favorite parts was just how easy she is to talk to. It felt less like sitting through a hair appointment and more like hanging out with a friend who just happens to be making your hair look amazing. Since Mirai does not offer acrylic nails, I agreed to try their Gel-X service. My natural nails were cut down in preparation for the application. What should have been a routine appointment turned into a nearly four-hour ordeal. The Gel-X application alone took approximately three hours, followed by another hour for a basic pedicure. For the amount of time spent and the price charged ($130 before tip), I expected a much better result. The nails are uneven, overly thick, and have an unnatural appearance. Several nails curve dramatically downward, creating a claw-like look rather than the clean, natural shape Gel-X is known for. Looking underneath the nails, there are noticeable gaps and inconsistencies in the application. I left feeling disappointed instead of happy with the finished product. The most frustrating part is that I paid a premium price and invested half my day, only to come home considering removing the nails myself. I rarely leave negative reviews, but when a service costs this much and takes this long, the quality should reflect it. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend the Gel-X service at Mirai. I genuinely wish them well, but I will not be returning.

The overall hygiene is disgusting. There was a literally smashed bug on the nail bar wall; the bar stools are filthy, and the towels they use are severely stained and dirty. To make matters worse, the nail brush used on me was hard and caked with old, dried product. The owner was also clearly sick; instead of staying home, she just wore a mask and repeatedly coughed directly in my face. The quality of the work is a joke and looks nothing like their Instagram photos. The owner used a polish bottle that was almost completely empty, made endless excuses for her subpar work, and then completely rushed the rest of my service because she forgot about another appointment she had booked. Because she was rushing so badly, she chipped my nail, forcing me to cut it. She didn't care at all when it happened. Unsurprisingly, the polish chipped within a single week, and an entire nail has already fallen off. It's obvious this place is strictly about the money, not quality. There is a massive, uncomfortable contrast in how she treats people; only her regulars get special treatment. I noticed an immediate difference between how badly I was treated and how she treated the regular client she squeezed in (the same person she forgot she even scheduled). People deserve so much better. The terrible quality is disappointing, but the lack of basic sanitation is completely unsafe. Health department, please ticket this establishment. Avoid this place at all costs!
