For the love of diners. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've posted before that one of my affinities are those good ol' fashioned diners, especially the ones you find in small towns, a bit worn around the edges and "if-the-walls-could-talk" kinda joints.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] ...and serving none of those pretentious plant-based milks of oat, almond, or soy in their specialty coffees with smoked rosemary or other fresh herbs for aromatic flair and garnished with high falutin junk just to appear trendy, self-important, superior, or sophisticated, often in a way that seems exaggerated and pompous. Gag me with a spoon as they used to say. (End of rant. ) Pardon my digression. I stopped by to see a close buddy and he treated me to a classic breakfast, just the way I like it. Simple. No avocado, mango or quince crap added, just eggs, bacon, hash browns and sourdough toast basted with butter. Not even a sprig of anything green. End of story. There, I said the silent part out loud for many of you.

Creekside Diner has become one of our go-to spots for breakfast and or lunch--and for good reason. The menu offers a great selection, at a good value, and everything we've tried so far has been tasty and satisfying. The mushroom burgers are delicious, and well-made. My personal favorite is the Country Fried Steak--comfort food done right! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service is usually very good, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We find ourselves coming back here more and more. Definitely a solid choice if you're in the area and craving a hearty, no-fuss meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not a fancy diner, but the right amount of delicious food and friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is one of those off the beaten track, down the road, tucked in a strip mall classic breakfast spots. No matter how many we hit, they never seem to disappoint. The place could definitely use some new tabletops and a good scrubbing, but that actually might ruin the divey breakfast diner feel of the place. Service here is a tag team effort with every one pitching in to make sure the food gets to the customer good and hot. Speaking of food - it is delicious and plentiful. They offer up just about the crispiest hash browns and bacon I've ever had. Prices are ridiculously reasonable making the value here incredible! That's what happens when you're not paying midtown prices. Do yourselves a favor and hit the road for the Creekside Diner. You certainly won't leave hungry.

Found this place while taking a weekend drive with my husband. We like to fine new towns with mom and pop restaurants. The restaurant is on the older side but I don't mind that. I do have to say it was too dark , half of the lights were not on or not working ? They have sports stuff on the walls and other random stuff but seemed fitting for a small town. My opinion the floors could use a good vacuum however I did notice a steady stream of people coming in to eat or pick up orders. The wait staff were friendly and pretty quick. The food was good. The gravy ( how my husband rates a place) was really good and his biscuit was fluffy. My omelette was good. All in all it was a nice little stop.

My friend brought me here and must say this is a hidden gem in the rio linda area. It has that old diner restaurant feel and the food was so good! I like what i ordered and its not too pricey. I got my order for like $15 bucks and boy was it good! Will come back here and will bring my husband next time. Service was quick too. We didn't have to wait a long time for the food to arrive. More power yall!

If you are looking for bad service , do not come here…read more Today, I was introduced to this gem of a community diner by a friend. Right away, Mama Goose (the waitress confessed this as her nickname) greeted me with a no nonsense and friendly attitude. This is a person you would hope to greet you, and at the same time you would never want to cross. The interior was very throwback to a time when this diner likely first experienced its hay-day several decades ago. Everything was clean, and the bathroom was so big, it was the size of my first apartment in San Francisco. Water refills were fast, and I ordered an omelette with no meat. It was very tasty, but the potatoes really stole the show with its perfectly crisp and seasoned portions. The prices are very fair/affordable. I felt welcomed here, just like I was visiting a friend in their home. It is clear that regular patrons keep coming back, and all are remembered by the staff. I highly recommend this experience!

It's the last day of my PTO, my car is getting fixed down the street, and figured I'd give it a chance I know it's been here forever, and it showed.... literally everyone who came in after me was addressed by either their first name or as "Mr. Smith." So...a lot of regulars. I pigged out...ordered the chili cheese omelette with a pancake on the side. The omelette was good...not the best I've had, but would not mind returning for it. The breakfast potatoes were near perfect....hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the middle. Just cut down on the seasoning, as the delicious potatoes were a tad salty. The pancake had a nice flavor too them, so kudos on the restaurant's batter. I'm not typically in this area, especially in the morning, but on those rare instances I may be, I'd definitely return

We were immediately greeted by multiple staff when we walked in and seated right after. We arrived a little after 9am and it was already bustling, but it still felt homey. The food came out quick and hot - my husband really liked the burrito and it was massive, he ate half and I took the other half for lunch today. I loved the Lil Breakfast - it was the perfect amount of food. The real winner was the breakfast sausage links though - so so good, made in house and it shows! The coffee was good and constantly flowing - their Mimosa menu is insane. I didn't even order one, but still stared at the menu for about 5 minutes. Mitchell took great care of us too! I hadn't been since last summer and was happy to return. Parking can be a bit hectic, but once you're inside, the atmosphere makes up for it. It's a family-owned spot, and you can feel it right away -- everyone is kind, welcoming, and takes the time to check in on you. We came for breakfast, but they also offer lunch and barbecue options, so there's plenty to choose from depending on when you go. They've also expanded and now have a location in Elk Grove. I ordered the French toast plate, which came with thick-cut slices of bread, eggs, and bacon. The French toast was soft on the inside with a nice golden finish, full of flavor without being overly sweet. The eggs were well seasoned, and the bacon was cooked just right. BB ordered the cheeseburger with fries and a side of grits. The burger was juicy with grilled onions and melted cheese, and the fries had that crispy, beer-battered texture. Everything came out hot and satisfying. Overall, a great spot for comfort food with genuinely friendly service. Definitely planning to come back -- especially for the biscuits and gravy next time.

The staff were very kinda, helpful and friendly. Someone on staff was thoughtful enough to stock the bathroom as follows: tampons, pads, leak pads, diapers for babies and breast leak pads for those who nurse. This was 10/10 kind and classy. I also loved the bathroom sign which has man, woman, handicap or alien, who cares just wash your hands. This is the attitude we need everywhere. The had as much of a beer and wine collection as I would expect in a small place and the waiter even offered to change my wine if I didn't like it. My food: garlic shrimp (app) was solidly good not amazing but nothing to complain about, ricotta with balsamic drizzle and garlic bread (app) also solidly good, the ricotta was whipped to smooth and the garlic bread was some of the best bread I have had since moving to Sacramento finally bread that didn't taste like sourdough the only part that wasn't good was there was too much balsamic and it was a little bitter but still good. My husband had the cottage pie which he liked but said I wouldn't bc the mushrooms are very prominent. So if you don't mind mushrooms you should like it. He said it was very good. We didn't have dessert bc we were too full. Also the stars hanging from the ceiling were cute The cons: Someone else mentioned it but it does feel a bit like white table cloth cafeteria. Not sure that ruins the experience as it was still comfortable. The booth we sat it was made of comfortable material however, as my husband and I are giants we couldn't sit directly across from each other the tables were too close together and should be adjusted a bit. I found it a bit odd so many sandwiches were on the menu for dinner and in an Italian fusion restaurant. I'd suggest increasing pasta dishes or maybe some other rustic Italian menu items for dinner and make the sandwiches for lunch. This wasn't a regular thing but they had music when we went and it was not good. They didn't need microphones in a space that size that wasn't insulated. It was all too loud and the singers were not in tune all the time. It made the enjoyment of the night less and we had trouble hearing each other. I wouldn't have given them a 3.5 without the music or regular background music. Last thing, I cringed when I saw Italian dishes having cheddar cheese listed as an ingredient in it. However, given how cleanly cooked what I had was and how much care they tried to put into it I would come back and try it on another night. I'm not sure if we will go back but if we do it would be on a non music night.

This establishment has been here for years and is always filled with patrons everyday. So what did we order. 1) basic breakfast: homemade sausage patty, 2 eggs, pancakes. The sausage patty was large had a nice flavor. Two eggs were a little too runny. Pancakes were good; fuffy, sweet, and nice size. 2) Bacon cheeseburger: very tasty juicy burger that came with all the appropriate fixins. the entire burger was covered with crispy bacon. it also arrived with a ton of hot fries. 3) Monday special: Homemade chicken enchiladas. this entree comes with two shredded chicken enchiladas covered in a mild sauce, basic refried beans, and seasoned spanish rice. Not the best but decent. 4) spinach salad: this entree looked fresh and inviting. fresh spinach leaves, covered with fresh strawberries, pieces of cold chicken, avocados slices, and real crispy bacon bits. dressing arrived on the side. very nice salad even with the cold chicken. 5) garden omelette: filled with veggies(spinach, bell peppers, onions, zucchini). my only complaint: slightly overcooked which makes a fuffy omelette into a somewhat tough scrambled egg omelette. This dish also comes with 2 large pancakes. there were a few little mishaps. it took some time before our wait staff took our order and even longer before our food arrived. The eggs were a little runny, omelette was a tad overcooked, and cold pieces of chicken in the salad. Hence just 3 stars.
