Came here with the hubby and our server was Kathy , who was absolutely wonderful from the very beginning!! She was super friendly with a beautiful smile and her attentiveness was exceptional! We ordered Chelsey Oysters which were heaven! The Marisco Seafood Pasta , so yummy !!! And the Mexican Seafood Cocktail was also delicious!! A true gem in Morro Bay !!

The bouillabaisse was ok. Got it since the waiter recommended. It was my first time having it so I dont know what to expect and it definitely wasnt enough for me. I was hungry not too long after. Probably my fault not looking up what the dish was.

What a great surprise! We almost skipped this place because Apple Maps said it was closed on Wednesdays and the phone went straight to voicemail--but they're definitely open, and we're so glad we stopped in. The crab cakes were packed with crab and paired perfectly with a tangy fennel and arugula salad. The fresh Morro Bay oysters were absolutely delicious. The clam chowder was rich and creamy with plenty of clam chunks and a nice kick of spice, though it was a bit peppery for my personal taste. They also offer fresh-squeezed juice mocktails, and while we didn't try the cocktails, they're made with soju. The views are beautiful, the reggae music creates a relaxing vibe, and our waiter, Charles (I think!), was incredibly sweet and attentive. One thing to know: there's essentially no Wi-Fi or cell service, so texts and web pages are slow or may not go through. Honestly, that's part of the charm. Put your phone down, soak in the view, enjoy the fresh seafood, the music, and the laid-back atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

We had dinner here and waited about 15mins for a table, which wasn't too bad without a reservation. Ambiance: 5/5 Beautiful view of the Morro rock! Have high tops tables and booths throughout the restaurant. Restaurant was loud during dinner with lots of families around. Service: 3/5 Our waitress wasn't consistent with her service. Took us a long time to order and ask for our check. She also brought out different dipping sauces but we didn't order anything that needed them lol. Food: 5/5 Smashed crab and beef melt: GENEROUS serving of crab meat! It took my fiancé a while to finish it due to its big portion, and he's a big eater. He described it to be delicious and not that greasy to eat. Marisco (seafood) pasta: Had mussels, clams, BIG scallops, and shrimps. This too was really delicious, but 3 pieces of garlic bread were a bit soggy.

    Seafood cocktail. Oysters both delicious.

We had such a great experience at this place. Food was 5/5. Absolutely everything we got - delicious. We tried seafood cocktail - I'd say my fav. Oysters were fresh and yummy. And burger really good too. Our server Lauren was great help. Everything she recommended turned out the best choice. They made sure to follow our request and turned the music volume down at the area we sited, I truly appreciated it. Highly recommend this place. You can book it on Open Table btw.

This is what it SHOULD look like.

Sat our party of 4 very fast. Ordered 2 Rock N Roll fish tacos. Nice portion but one was very spicy. Server corrected with a plain fried fish. My gorgeous wife had the "wedge" salad. It was not a traditional wedge salad as it was served in an iceberg lettuce bowl. No blue cheese crumbles as advertised. My lobster roll was EXCELLENT!

What a great experience. We went on a Saturday. It was busy but the wait wasn't too bad. They sat us at a table, I asked for a booth. They quickly agreed. Service was great. We had the loveliest waitress, that easily gave recs and was cheerful. We had scallops, oysters and the lobster roll. All of it was delicious. The scallops were baked with fried garlic and cheese and were so flavorful as were the oysters. The lobster roll came on grilled garlic bread and was seasoned perfectly. The scallops were my favorite. The Bloody Mary wasn't remarkable and either was the lychee martini. I'd definitely stick to wine next time. I'd also pick another dessert, wasn't really sure that was actually Tiramisu and they decorated the plate with Hershey's syrup a bit disappointing after such a good meal but we will definitely go back.

    Fish tacos. Real good.

Hey first time here. Great vibe and view. Ryan was slinging drinks and excellent plates of food. Fish tacos, and shrimp cocktail are excellent. I did see some lobster rolls come out for another table and they looked. Outstanding. Will be back soon.

Food was decent needed more salt... We had the lobster Mac, steak with potatoes, shrimp and scallop pasta no sauce, and the sliders with fries. The server was Troy who was nice but seemed a little off today. We requested potatoes with the steak three times and still received rice but he fixed it. Then we spilled fries on the floor and were charged for the replacement. The food portions were good but the prices seemed outlandish for the sizes (I will post pics) and made me kinda think we were paying for the ocean view and the food. But that's inflation for you (thank you politics). I would not rush back to the environment, as the energy was low (one employee I get but, all 4? Come on), and gave the vibe that the staff were so over people but needed the money so yeah, at least we can say we tried it.

    Valeriia R.

The lobster bisque was absolutely delicious, but the wait was disappointing. We were seated and no one came over to our table for about 25 minutes. We eventually had to flag down a server just to place our order, and then waited another 35 minutes--even though we only ordered soup. Hopefully the service improves because the food was really good.

This is our usual dining spot whenever we take the trip out here, and this time around it was unpleasant. Our server was a blonde older lady who don't introduce herself by name, was quick to bro gout our waters, but when she toon our drink order, she only brought out my husband's beer. When I asked a few questions regarding items on the menu, her answers came across as though she was mildly annoyed. We waited until our food was brought out and I had to ask for a spoon that accompanied the dish I ordered and we reminded her of the soda my son had requested. Also when I unraveled the napkin wrapped silverware, the napkin had stains on it. Super gross!! I think we'll be giving this place a rest for a while. What a shame...

Unfortunately, their sandwiches are about the same - at least the one I try. I ordered a turkey on a roll with lettuce, cheese, and mayo. The bread was still SO DRY that I couldn't like the sandwich at all. I did order a small pizza and a hotdog. These are new to the menu since I was there last. After waiting an incredibly long amount of time to get my order, I was at least happy with the pizza and hot dog. Glad to have a hot dog option next to the theatre so I can sneak one in!! I ordered extra cheese on the pizza but I didn't need to. I am happy to upgrade my star rating to 3-stars for those two new items. I am picky about the bread for my sandwiches and honestly the only one I liked was when you had the sliced wheat bread option available one day as a fluke. I will go to Mr. Pickles for my sandwiches from now on, but I might stop in for a pizza or a dog.

Let's start by saying, very friendly owners. Was greeted with a big smile & a friendly "hi, how are you". Very welcoming. Son (assuming) was working the front counter, who is also very friendly & accommodating. Reminds of the type people you would like to have as neighbors. Alright, let's get to the food! Going to keep this short & sweet (which I like doing, being that's what most really want to know). The Pulled Chicken Sandwich is great! It's juicy, not over seasoned, mix of thigh & breast, topped with their BBQ sauce & coleslaw! What more do you want? Exactly, nothing! Perfect just the way it is. Nothing over the top, nor gimmicky. I truly like this pulled chicken sandwich! The Fried Raviolis are also good, nice app to add. Looking forward to trying their Tri-Tip sandwich, hopefully it's as good! I…read morecan't say for sure that they were involved in this situation, but the store was completely sold out of chicken. Maybe all that bird watching worked up an appetite for bird. We read reviews. We looked at the menu online, then we walked from our hotel to the restaurant, planning to order a tri tip sandwich and chicken nachos, which were advertised as having either fried chicken or pulled chicken options. When we arrived, we were informed that they were out of both pulled chicken and tri tip. Not to fear, I told the clerk that we would have he nachos with friend chicken. Alas, they don't sell fried chicken anymore. I asked her what proteins they DID have. Ribs and pork loin, deli sliced were the only options. I asked if the nachos could be made with pork. They could. We ordered that and ribs. First, the good: the homemade potato chips are excellent. The BBQ sauce isn't bad. Now that we are done with that, down to the reality of the situation. I should have known better. We had been staying in a hotel not a hundred yards away for two days and hadn't smelled any smoke or BBQ. When we got back to our hotel room, we opened the boxes. Plating was attractive. The chips are good. A small side note. There is a gas station near my parents' house (North Fork Minit Mart if you are ever interested in visiting the geographic center of California) that purchases pre-seasoned ribs from Costco and cooks them in a crock pot full of sauce. If you like the ribs at this place, you will LOVE those ones. There was no smoke, no smoke ring, no evidence of BBQ at all. The name of the place is "savory smoke"... but the food is neither savory nor smokey. Thr ribs were tough, flavorless and stringy. Even a little salt would have helped. The rub was strale and "muddy". I'm not one who wants ribs to actually fall off the bone, but these you couldn't even get off the bone. The chips were good. The "nachos" were the chips (which are good), covered in canned cheese, flavorless baked pork loin in this case and onions. The onions and the chips stole the show. The chips are good. Incidentally, there is a bar next door that seemed steadily busy. My recommendation is that "savory smoke" give up the facade that they are in any way a BBQ join, because they simply aren't, knock down the wall to let the bar expand, and simply make chips for the bar patrons. The meat was trash. Thr chips were good. This place should be ashamed of itself.

Tourists flood the…read morebeaches, traffic crawls through Pismo, and every scenic overlook suddenly becomes a photoshoot for people who discovered the central coast three days ago. So my girlfriend and I did what locals do this afternoon: we tried to escape the madness and disappear into Los osos for a few hours. Not that there's any "sneaking into" High Street Deli. That line is eternal. It exists outside the laws of time and tourism. Rain or shine, weekday or holiday weekend, there will always be a crowd gathered outside chasing the same thing: the perfect sandwich on the perfect California afternoon. And honestly? They're right. Nothing beats a High Street sando on a sunny day. You grab a Dutch Punch and a cold Cali Squeeze and suddenly everything slows down. The sandwich arrives absurdly overstuffed with layers of turkey, extra bacon, jalapeño havarti, onion, tomato, avocado, chipotle mayo, Dutch crunch bread that's barely surviving the structural pressure holding the whole masterpiece together. It's messy in the way all truly great food is messy. No pretension. No carefully curated "elevated deli experience." Just pure Central Coast comfort engineered for people who spent the morning surfing, hiking Montana de Oro, or sitting in beach traffic questioning their life choices. And the Cali Squeeze? Citrus beer sweating in the afternoon heat while ocean air drifts through Los Osos. That's the high locals chase all summer long. What hurts is admitting publicly how good this place really is. Every local wants to protect High Street like a secret fishing spot. You want visitors to enjoy the coast, just maybe somewhere else first. But denying High Street its flowers would feel dishonest. Because this place is the heartbeat of the Central Coast in summertime. The patio fills with surfers, old locals in sun-faded hats, Cal Poly kids, dogs asleep under picnic tables, couples lingering over beers because nobody here is ever truly in a hurry. Somebody's talking about swell conditions. Somebody else is debating whether to head to Morro Bay after lunch. The smell of sandwiches, sunscreen, and salt air hangs over everything. It's not glamorous. It's better than glamorous. It's real. And somewhere between the first bite of a Dutch Punch and the first sip of a Cali Squeeze, you remember why people who grow up on the Central Coast never fully leave even when they move away. Because they spend the rest of their lives trying to recreate afternoons like this.

We got two orders and fries, an order of onion rings and 3 fountain drinks. The food arrived at different times as the order was ready. All the food was good. The sandwiches were good sized with lots of filling. The fries were great. The onion rings were the star. They were light and crispy and we all loved them. Parking is not easy in this area. It took a few circles to find a spot. We got a table right away. There was a kitchen-like play area for the kids. That kept them busy while we waited 20-30 minutes for food. Cute shop. They had stickers and baked goods and gifty items. Woman at the counter was a little impatient with customers. One surprise was the total price. Three sandwiches, three drinks, two fries and an order of onion rings plus tip was almost $97. Never had such an expensive sandwich in my life!

It was light and fluffy while still feeling substantial and satisfying. The combination of savory salmon and sweet leek worked beautifully together.
