I'll be completely honest -- when I walked in and got my first glance of the dining area, I…read morewondered if I had made a mistake. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't dirty or unkempt in any way, but it had that old, hole-in-the-wall kind of feel that can either be a good thing or a bad thing. Well, it was a good thing. I'm so glad I gave this place the benefit of the doubt! The server (Jamiee, I think) was very friendly and attentive. I love Mexican food, and I'm kinda picky when it comes to the little things like sauces, chips, guacamole, salsa, etc. For me, that's usually a pretty good barometer for how the rest of the food is going to be. I ordered chips, salsa, and a side of guacamole to start. The chips were homemade, and soooo freaking good -- thick and crunchy, but still had a light texture. The guacamole was absolutely top shelf -- creamy but not runny, and just the perfect amount of spices, tomatoes and onions. The salsa had a decent kick, but nothing crazy. It was really good, if not a smidge on the runny side. The star of the show here was the smothered burrito. I ordered mine with carne asada. The sucker was huge, and loaded to the rim of the plate with a green chile sauce that was just, well, ridiculous. The melty cheese on top, with tomatoes, lettuce, and a respectable dollop of sour cream on the side, was a full-on party for my tastebuds. Why the 4 stars then, and not 5, you might ask? Well, the carne asada was a bit too charred for my liking. Just a few too many crispy/crunchy pieces for it to be perfect. The chunks that weren't crispy were super tender though. I just wanted more of that. Got a mango shake to go, made with hand-scooped ice cream (not soft serve). It tasted good but blended way too long, to the point of being runny. If I lived anywhere near here, I would 100% go back, not even a question.

Ingredients are pretty low quality, canned mushrooms, spinach didn't wilt in my omelet at all and the guac that came on the plate was not good at all. So clearly we didn't order well. Others around us seemed to enjoy the food and the home fries were good but the Sharon omelet is a miss flavor wise and I didn't appreciate being overcharged. Seemed very busy but weWouldn't return if we lived here.

The food here is so good, and the staff is even more amazing. It's very homely, not a big chain and it definitely shows. Everyone is so nice, smiles all around and it's an all around feel good place. They have the breakfast staples but also some specials that are creative and delicious! We've had nutella crepes, chicken fried steak, breakfast burrito (which is massive!) and a special of the day - strawberry cheesecake waffle. All the ingredients come together perfectly and melts in your mouth! The one thing you HAVE to get is the cinnamon roll. Eat it while it's hot and gooey, you won't regret it! Next time I'm going to get the Salted Caramel Cinnamon roll. On Friday and Saturday they are open until 8 pm so you can enjoy them if you're unable to make it during the lunch hours!

Cheap beer is available everywhere in this area but I have to church up the JCB burger. Simple burger (med-rare, I usually order med-rare and get well done, but true med-rare) cream cheese, bacon and grilled jalapeño. That's it and it honestly needs nothing else. Little sweet, little heat but for a lunch burger I am impressed. Bartender was cool and I think ran the whole house at lunch pretty well. Skip the burger in the bag and come smash a PBR and some really local hospitality.

We ordered 1/2 of a turkey rubin with fries, one cheese burger with green chili as the side 2 coors light and 2 house margarita's and it cost $70 with a tip. The turkey rubin was not grilled enough, it looked like warm bread. The cheese burger came naked. No lettuce, onion, tomato or pickle. I asked the server, and he said we had to ask for it but it wouldn't be charged extra, even though the cheese was charged $1.50 for a slice of american cheese. THEN WE HAD A FAIR WAGE FEE. (5.00%) of our bill. WHY ARE CUSTOMERS PAYING THAT? The employer should include it in their prices or not charge it. Because $70.00 for this meal that was SUB PAR AT BEST makes me mad. The beer was $2.50 before 4 pm and $3.50 after 4. We would drink beer here. But paying $17 for 2 house margaritas, on happy hour prices, was nuts. The old ownership cared more about the food products that were put out. We will NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN. $70 FOR A BURGER AND 1/2 OF A SANDWICH AND TWO DRINKS EACH, AND A WAITER WHO DIDN'T ADD CONDIMENTS TO OUR BURGER... shame on you guys.
