spanish latte and honey lavender latte beautiful venue. i would've loved to stay and take in all the stained glass windows had to offer! cramped parking on the street and had to go residential but that wasn't too bad. it was a busy time when i got here and so our orders took a bit to get ready. lightly flavored coffee here so enthusiasts will appreciate that. they were smooth and strongly caffeinated!

Yummy chocolate chip cookie with a tiny bit of red fruit in it. amazing!

At the entrance of the church building, I didn't know what to expect when we walked up the stairs. As soon as we walked in the there was a very nice seating area near the barista counter. Yes, they still had some pastries. That's what I needed. After we ordered, we looked into the next room and it was a big open space like a church foyer with stained glass windows. The fireplace was magnificent. There is even a play area for children. There's not a lack of seating at all. Both of the pastries that we had were delicious. Next time we will be back for coffee. I'm sure it will be next Saturday.

Part Presbyterian Church, part Cafe (Crema coffee & bakery), part community space (Tabor Space). Very large and spacious! The baristas were friendly and excellent with small talk. Unlike LA, they appeared genuinely interested and ready for longer conversation if given the opportunity. Excellent spread of pastries and a ton of seasonal drinks. No shortage of peppermint & brown sugar items! The Maple Brown Sugar Latte was just right; not too sweet not overly decadent. You definitely get your money's worth with the cookies! Easily 3x cookies in one which is great if you've got a sweet tooth while also ballin' on a budget. The cafe game in Portland is thoroughly saturated w/ indie entrepreneurs and it's got to be a challenge to stand out from the crowd. I applaud Crema Cafe for not trying to differentiate themselves with a gimmick. They are memorable in my book for their unique depth of atmosphere and a palpable sense of serenity. I don't consider myself claustrophobic although I do appreciate my personal bubble. Crema Coffee has that! A blend of communal space without congestion.

Beautiful space. The pic does not do it justice...

This is the coolest most unique coffee shop in Portland. They share a Tabor Space with the church. Because of it, they have many comfortable seating arrangements in a relaxing inviting atmosphere. It's almost meditative... You'll be in a state of Zen while working . They have a good selection of treats to boot. The Barista was helpful and patient with me. There is plenty of street parking there. Go give it a shot, but be there before 2:00 or 3:00 p.m. because they close early, and all the pastries will be gone...

I don't know if they always only have one barista, but if it's busy it can be a bit slower.

Crispy, airy, buttery and oh, so delicate, my raspberry cruffin was the dessert dreams are made of! If you've never had a cruffin... what are you waiting for?! It's croissant dough baked into a muffin shape. And the particular version I ordered today was filled with sweet and creamy vanilla custard and raspberry jelly. My mouth is watering describing this now, a true sign I'll be returning to experience this delicacy time and time again. There are three locations of Twisted Croissant in Portland, and this is the only one I've visited. The interior has a classic Parisian bakery vibe, clad in white subway tile from floor to ceiling. The bakery case in front of the store is beautifully stocked with fresh pastries, perfect for enjoying with a cup of coffee or tea. However, be advised, there are only two tables in the back of their public space, so it's not particularly inviting space to sit and enjoy your breakfast. Given the location, I assume there is outdoor seating in the summer months, but don't quote me on that. Regardless, run here if you haven't been. These baked goods are worth the visit!

Easiest 5 star review!…read more It's all about the goods, baked goods. Breads. Treats. Sammies. Coffee and all the drinks are fine but everything in display was made by hand with quality ingredients. People line up until it's gone. Some days we've waited thirty people deep but in this day it was about a dozen. Service is quick and although there is seating, it's often full. We always go with the intention of eating somewhere else. The jamon sandwich, French pastries and especially the perfectly crunchy carmelly palmier are my faves. The Annex next door has a paired down list of options that often keeps the line from getting too long at the main store. We love both. It's always part of our Portland itinerary and sometimes multiple mornings in a row.

The quiche was rich, flaky, and packed with flavor, while the chocolate croissant had beautifully laminated layers with just the right balance of buttery pastry and chocolate. The fresh bread was the highlight, beautifully crusty on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, and everything you'd hope for from a true artisan bakery. You can taste the quality and craftsmanship in every bite. Service was swift and easy, making the experience seamless from start to finish. There was also a decent amount of seating available, making it a great spot whether you're grabbing something on the go or catching up with a friend over coffee and pastries. JinJu is my favorite bakery of the year and we had already planned a visit over the weekend before the news ever hit. We drove on over on Sunday for one last hurrah. Oh my god the line. We got there a bit over 15 minutes before opening, figuring that things wouldn't be too bad, but by that time the line stretched down the block, around the corner, and almost to the alleyway. I counted 70 people in line ahead of us. By the time the bakery opened at 8AM, there were at least another 60+ people in line after us, marching further down all the way to Vancouver Ave. Insane line. We didn't reach the door until after 9AM and then it took another 10 minutes or so to get to the front of the line. Our total wait was 1.5 hours and it was still worth the effort in my opinion. By the time we got to the front, the Ham, Bacon & Gruyere and whatever was in the bottom left case (Almond?) were already out of stock. The Butter and Chocolate were both running low with perhaps 10 pieces left of each. While the operation is winding down, the quality is still as high as ever. We went with our old standbys - the Butter Croissant, Chocolate Croissant, Spinach Feta Tart, and Morning Bun, all just as good as I remembered. I'm not even going to describe them again since they were pretty much 100% identical to my first two visits (for those curious, refer to my previous review). Portland is really losing something special. I hope Jin and Q take a well deserved long vacation and then open another concept in the near future! PS: After our multiple visits, I was never able to obtain their Almond Croissant. That's definitely my white whale, never to be achieved at this point!
