I watch this sandwich being made and was weary that all items were cut on a cutting board with no paper underneath. When I inquired about cross contamination they responded they don't cut meat on it. I salvaged the sandwich by removing the ingredients and putting on a toasted naan bread I had at home. I should've stuck to my intuition and use this as a "coffee only" spot. read more

Came here with my family and this was such a cute and tidy cafe. This cafe had a very homey feel to it and the workers were so welcoming. We had the BLT toast, curried chicken toast, empanadas (argentine beef, chicken chipotle and ham&cheese), drinks and ice cream. I visited Crema specifically to complete an important project and needed dependable Wi-Fi to do so. Unfortunately, the internet was not working during my visit, which made it impossible to get anything done. I asked a staff member for assistance, but the response felt dismissive and unhelpful. After spending over 30 minutes trying to troubleshoot and waiting for support, I was finally told that the Wi-Fi does not work with Mac computers. That would have been extremely helpful to know upfront instead of after losing valuable time. If you're planning to work remotely or rely on internet access, especially on a Mac, I would strongly suggest reconsidering this location in Jersey City. I would never come here again. I was here earlier today. It took them 20 mins to make my regular latte . There were two people who came FIVE mins after me who ordered juices/teas and they received their orders. I think the gentleman forgot what I ordered. They didn't have simple syrup. So without notifying me, they made my coffee with honey which made the coffee "thick" it was horrendous. I visited on a relaxing afternoon and was able to enjoy the outdoor seating with a front row seat to typical urban activities (fire trucks coming and going from the station across the street, kids walking home from school, etc). Inside there were a few people working on their laptops so I assume the wifi is decent enough to get some work done. On to the food, I kept it pretty basic for my first visit and had a drip coffee and the Chicken Chipotle Empanada, the filling of which was filled with tender/juicy pieces of shredded chicken. We were so happy to stumble upon this little corner cafe on our way to journal square. It has such a cozy, unique vibe, and the staff is more than just welcoming. They were so sweet and helpful, and gave wonderful recommendations for my little sisters. We ended up getting the prosciutto, tomato and mozzarella croissant, an almond croissant, and a Nutella one and they were divine! The coffee is very good quality, and even their iced mocha was delicious! They have a bice working area, and I saw some people typing away on their keyboards. They even have a print station if that's something you need. I think this would be a great place to come and study and get work done as a student. I recently ordered an açaí fruit bowl to go and that was great as well (though the portion was a little small). The space has a decent amount of seating inside and outside when the weather permits. My favorite so far is the salmon toast; however I am yet to try them all. The coffee is not too bad and is better than DD. I am bit more ecritical as I am a bit of a coffee snob. There is a small seating area inside and you are welcome to eat or drink outside with your dog. They are dog friendly, but you cannot bring them inside for obvious reasons. They are right in the corner of Duncan & Bergen Ave. Parking is a bit tricky but you may get lucky or may be able to double park for quick pick-up! The croissants are basically bread in the shape of a croissant. They initially started out promising but it has decline over the years. They need to get good basic croissant. This place was really charming. It was cozy and bright. There are lots of places for kids to play as well. We need more places like this in the area! I ordered a cappuccino with just the right amount of foam and the Nutella toast. The cappuccino was delicious and the toast was huge!
