I never thought I'd be writing a review for a funeral home…read more A few weeks before my dad's unexpected passing this spring, he had attended a service there and mentioned he thought the place was lovely. Fast forward to us not only being emotionally crushed by a sudden death, but the fact we had no funeral plans. It was unerving to call them while my fathers body was still in the hospital room next to me, but the woman who I talked to on a weekend evening calmly explained the process and assured me we'd get through this as quickly as possible to start the grieving process. They handled everything as they coordinated certificates, transportation, and even got us in touch with a cemetery I had been trying to find a contact for years to for myself. They helped me create a customized service for dad, and were very accommodating to help keep my mother's stress levels down during and after the funeral. The attention to every detail and the personalized care made me get funeral plans for my entire family with them. They met with us the same day, listened to what we were attempting to accomplish in terms of a memorial service, had references readily available, and allowed us time to use their conference room and pull all the elements together. On the day of the service, they were more available than we had ever expected them to be, and didn't rush us in any way. For an extremely cost effective way to handle final expenses, we didn't feel like we were getting sub par service; far from it. I've been to the full service places that come with plenty of guilt to push you to spend more money during a time where you are ill equipped to make good decisions.
