Tuesday 9/17/2024 The last time I visited this spot was over a half a decade ago. I remember when me and my family would visit a decent amount. I also remember the crepes I used to get: savory crepe with chicken, sweet crepe with Nutella & fruit, and I think a sweet crepe with white chocolate & fruit. I made an Uber eats delivery order and got a savory crepe (chicken, cheese, tomato's, pesto) $9.94, sweet crepe (Nutella, strawberries, and banana) $9.75, and waffle (apples, brown sugar, cinnamon) $7.50. - The waffle was pretty disappointing but it's a lot better with syrup. The texture was hard & dense and was the complete opposite of how I like my waffles: soft, fluffy, and moist. - The Savory crepe was extremely greasy on first look but it ended up being solid. - The Sweet crepe was alright but nothing special or impressive. We went around 7pm for dinner, and it was super quiet and enjoyable. Owner is fantastic and is often there making the food himself. Nestled in the Kentlands, I found this crepery, which was a pleasant surprise. Crepes are delicious and not done very much around here. Sadly, I found them to be kinda disappointing. The food was ordered and served fast, and I thought the price was good. But, where I was let down was in the crepes stuffing. The crepe itself was okay -- perhaps a bit sweet -- but it was filled with just raw, cold, plain berries. Like someone had tipped a pint from Giant into the crepe and sealed it shut like a Chipotle burrito. They weren't cooked. No syrup or sauce. And... they weren't ripe. Sometimes simple food can be good and sometimes it can be too simple, as in this place. Crepes A-Go-Go began with a street vendor in Paris. That concept of simplified crepes was brought to America. My wife and I were interested in trying their dessert crepes after having dinner at a nearby restaurant. We got 2 crepes and a latte. 1) Red Delicious Apples, Brown Sugar, and Cinnamon crepe. The filling was cooked diced apples mixed with some brown sugar and a pinch of cinnamon. It had no sauce or syrup. The apples were a bit crunchy with mild flavors of apple and brown sugar. There was no cinnamon flavor because there was hardly any cinnamon on the apples. The crepe was thin, stretchy, and a little chewy. Even though there was some powdered sugar coating it, it was barely sweet with a hint of vanilla flavor. A sweet sauce was needed to give this crepe some flavor. Everything was too mild in flavor, which made this bland. 2) Strawberry, Raspberry, Blackberry, Blueberry, and Banana crepe. It had pieces of natural fruit, nothing else. The bananas were sweet. The blueberries were slightly sweet. The strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries were not sweet at all. The raspberries and blackberries were tart. The tartness dominated the flavors. The crepe was like the one above. Again, a flavorful sweet sauce was needed for this crepe. 3) Mokaccinotella Lavazza espresso blended with Nutella, steamed milk, and frothed milk. It had a strong Nutella flavor against a background of milk and full-bodied Lavazza coffee. It was well-made and rich in flavor. Excellent! The service was quick and polite. The orders are taken at the cash register. They bring it to your table for dine-in. The dining room and restrooms were clean, but the restrooms were old looking. They also sell quiches, omelets, waffles, paninis, salads, savory crepes, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and a smoothie. I am hoping their savory crepes are much better than their sweet crepes. Stopped by for breakfast around 10:30 on a Saturday. This is a fast casual type of place where you order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. It was steadily busy but we grabbed a table easily. The menu is ginormous with a mix of sweet and savory. I had the house special crepe with 2 eggs, cheese, and Turkey . Crepes a go go is a hidden Kentlands treasure. They have been here more than at least 5 years (at least that's how long I've known this place) and they always have the nicest lighting and ambiance. Their sweet crepes are phenomenal I always come here when I'm upset and Mr. Briam (the main cashier) has always given me the warmest welcome. Mr Luis, I believe the chef's name is, always makes the most nicest crepes. They don't skimp on the filling and the classics remain perfect every time. Please keep this place going. I was craving some crepes on a Saturday night. Found this place on yelp and wanted to check it out. Kinda in a weird place in the kentlands. If you are familiar with the typically strip of shops and restaurants it's behind that. Got there around 7:30/8 pm. It was kinda hot and sticky when you walk in. They have a bunch of options from Sweet to savory. They also have gelato and coffee and such. I went with the Nutella and strawberry and banana and the pb&j. Too much PB and the jam wasn't anything special. The Nutella didn't really taste like Nutella. It honestly tasted like they took a Hershey bar and put that in there with some unripped fruit. The crepe was hard to cut. It was definitely over cooked. The service wasn't anything special. They were pretty busy and seemed a little frantic. While i was waiting for my to go order the table next to me had to send two of there dishes back because they were wrong. Overall i would come back. It wasnt horrible but it wasn't amazing either. i think they were just slammed at the time we came and they were unstaffed. read more

They have you select what kind of egg you want...which makes no sense because all of the egg for their crepes is exactly the same. And there is no option to pick which cheese you want! So if you order from UberEats just know egg selection is useless and you will be getting a random cheese! So logically what should I do? Well I try calling to ask for the cheese I would like. First they pick up and say NOTHING. I say hi and try to talk and there is no reply. They hang up so I call back. The second time they pick up I just hear crazy noises and again they say nothing. Finally I call a third time and I ask if they can hear me and the reply is "yes what do you want?!", and I explain that I've tried to call three times now and no one has answered which is why I asked if she can hear me. Her reply was "we're busy what do you want?!" And I say she didn't have to be rude and then she hung up on me! What kind of service is that?! I've been going here for years and they've always hated when you called but this is straight up ridiculous! And last time I went in person they said the cash registers were down and it's cash only. DO NOT BOOK FOR CATERING. CANCELLED LAST MINUTE. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I had booked my event with this company 4 weeks prior to my event. A week before the event- when I contacted the company to ensure all was set and to see if a deposit was needed or if I could add my own toppings. 1 hour after I reached out to them I received a text from the owner- Mourad that his partner Rachid is cancelling my event. When I asked for a phone call to explain what happened, I was told it was too late for a phone call (despite the fact that the owner had JUST texted me). See attached screen shots of texts. I waited to speak to someone before disparaging a small business but after the phone call I just received from co-owner Rachid, I had to say something. He called me this morning to tell me that because my event was small and that because I asked too many questions- my event was cancelled. He continue to tell me how busy they are with corporate events and other larger clients. When I explained that I had only asked two questions- 1. where to send the deposit and 2. if I could add my own toppings, and I also reminded him that I have previously used this company several times in the last few years- he said "I didn't know that, ok fine we will do your event." I told him I would never rebook an event with his company as there is no trust or professionalism, if they were truly short staffed, a phone explaining the situation and apologizing would have been way more professional than receiving a text at 9pm at night that says "we are cancelling your event". So for anyone out there who can not afford being cancelled on last minute for a catering event- I would highly recommend going elsewhere. There are many crepe companies and trucks out there with better tasting food and higher quality ingredients and who are more professional and deserving of your business. read more

My gf got the California Brunch crepe and I got a ham, cheese, egg, crepe and added green onion to mine. The crepes were okay. Are crepes suppose to be that brown with cheese that hasn't been melted? That was my experience with the food here. My gf crepe was much better than mine, thus a 3 star rating. Kentlands has some breakfast places like Starbucks, Star Diner, Chik Fila, and this place. They are okay in my opinion. I am very glad that First Watch opened nearby at Muddy Branch, for another option for breakfast dining near the Kentlands. The location is pretty good as it is in the Kentlands shopping center by other local shops. It seems like they have been in business for a long time now. They have decent amount of tables inside but it can get filled up pretty quickly. They also sell other foods like savory crepes, gelatos, and smoothies. Being a long time fan of this place I decided to come back to taste the nutella, strawberry, banana crepe again. I remember it used to be super soft and bit chewy, which made it delicious. I also would ask for extra whipped cream. It was very good. I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 stars because this time around the crepe was like crunchy instead of soft and chewy. It was a bit difficult to cut through. Still tasted very good though, but perhaps the quality has gone down slightly?
