I got the Des amis crepe. Kinda like a pasta sauce in a crepe. It was just ok. My friend got the royal crepe, they let me try some and I preferred that one. So maybe the sweet/dessert crepes are better? Would come again cuz it's a cute spot in a nice location, but maybe I'll stick to the dessert crepes. Service was good. Very friendly staff. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. You order first then are given a number (either for takeout or dining there) and they bring your order to you. I tried a variety of crepe (curry, chicken spinach, paris special and vive la france). All were quite tasty. They give a generous amount of shrimp and meats depending on what you order but pleasantly not stingy. They offer a good variety of flavors. I don't think I've ever seen crepe made with shrimp. Really good. My whole family enjoyed it. Only drawback I would say is the wait so just be prepared. read more

3, I guess....? I mean, a low 3, or high 2....I don't know, this was not what I was hoping for now for my first new Pasadena experience, as I was craving crepes this morning. I don't know, maybe I dreamt of France without even knowing out. This was the tale of two crepes. I ordered the "Bastille Crepe," which is a basic scrambled egg and cheese crepe. It was....there. It didn't have much flavor. And the crepe itself was kinda dry. The cheese was melted enough, but a crepe could have been "gooey-er." I ordered one for my mom to go, and she enjoyed it, so it is what it is. I did enjoy the peanut butter and jelly crepe to go, but it is hard to mess up the classic flavors of peanut butter and jelly. The "hole in the wall" setting is quaint, and I like the "petite France" feel that the restaurant provides. It is quick service, pay and they bring it to you. I don't know how to keep this review going to sound more as an in-depth analysis, so I will keep it "short but sweet." This is a restaurant that will probably never be on my radar, but if a friend invited me to join them, I would not complain. I would just maybe bring some ketchup......to a crepe place. I stumbled across this cute little cafe wandering around Pasadena and I'm so glad I did! it was the perfect place for lunch after a long hike. The place was adorable and my Nutella crepe was delicious. It was soft and they were generous with the Nutella. The coffee was also quite good and the woman working was kind and attentive. I wasn't in a rush to come back here after my first experience earlier this year; I ordered the Vive La France savory crepe to go and ate it at home. It struck as a bit odd that not a single French person works at this little shop, and that on my first visit there were no other customers. The Vive La France has shrimp and peppers, which I had never had in a crepe so that is why I ordered it this time. I was surprised that it was drenched in some creamy sauce, but I cut into it anyway. It tasted fine, albeit likely grocery store-bought ingredients that were previously frozen, then thrown on the same grill that all crepes are made on without a cleaning in-between. I wasn't impressed but at least I finished it. This weekend I was able to share a rare moment with my friend and actually go out to get coffee and breakfast before he had work. I took him to Blue Bottle then looked at Yelp to see what breakfast was nearby, when Crepes de Paris popped up again. I figured I'd roll the dice and hope we get lucky. Maybe the first visit was an off day? I was a bit encouraged by it being quite busy on that Saturday morning, with only two free tables in or outside of the restaurant. Still odd that there were many more employees, though still no French people working. He ordered a crepe that had bacon and eggs, I didn't see/hear which one. He said it wasn't great, but what I thought was gross is that there was sour cream squirted in a zig zag pattern across the top of the crepe. Not very French. I ordered the Moulin Rouge savory crepe this time, and it was supposed to have smoked salmon, cream cheese, and capers. My crepe came out drenched in seemingly the same sauce as last time, with (not smoked) salmon, Parmesan cheese, and literally like six capers sprinkled on top. It looked disgusting, but sometimes looks can be deceiving so I still cut in and tried to eat it. I couldn't even get half way through because the sauce was overwhelming on its own, but what made it inedible was the addition of cream cheese as well on the inside. I opened up the crepe and was dismayed at how crime scene-like the most expensive item on their menu looked. We finished our coffees and left without finishing our food. It had been awhile since I last visited but I had fond memories. Unfortunately, I cannot say this place lived up to my personal hype. The decor inside seemed dated and service seemed understaffed as many of the tables hadn't been cleared and our cappuccino orders came late (though the server disclosed their machine had been having issues). I was more optimistic about the crepe itself, but unfortunately it didn't taste very fresh. I will note their mushrooms were standout. The food was just okay. I enjoyed the outside patio and the general ambience of being in the heart of Old Town Pasadena so I was more open to coming back and trying the sweet crepes another time. But then I came home and had the worst upset stomach so can't honestly say I would make another visit. read more

Located across from Green Street Castle sits a very quaint crepe shop. Although they are about a block away from the shops on Colorado, it's a nice getaway from the crowds. I ordered the St Louis crepe with turkey. Everything about this crepe was just right. The crepe texture is nice and fluffy and balanced: not too much egg, not too much flour or milk. I felt every bite was well balanced in the amount of sauce, amount of veggies and turkey. They make a pretty good crepe and I keep going back for more. The best part is their prices are decent! For parking, you can park on the street for meters or walk over from the Greet Street structure just a few steps away. Prior to the pandemic this little spot was never too crowded. You can pick a table and enjoy your meal with some cute decor. In late 2021, this hasn't changed. I wonder if it's just because it's a block away from Colorado and not too many people know about it. During the wait time no one checked on us. We saw 4 people who ordered after us gotten their orders and started eating. We asked why our order is late, the staff didn't have a clue what we ordered or did we even place an order. We questioned her about our order and she said it's almost done but in fact they never started the order at all. Outside seatings are dirty and dishes were left out for who knows how long. But they fixed the problem very quickly. Were the crepes good? Not particularly. They were fine. But despite going hard core on the French decor I was really surprised how the most basic sugar crepe wasn't even on the menu and the crepes had a slightly rubbery texture that I have never had before. Crepes should have the right proportions, otherwise it's just a syrupy, sweet mess. Fortunately, the "Favorite" Crepe that I was served was excellent. It was a perfect lesson in delicious restraint. The same can't be said about "La Jardinaire" omelette which came in a puddle of cooking oil. It was otherwise pretty tasty. The toast that it came with was cheap store bought sliced bread. The utensils were also an issue. The forks they hand out are more for dessert. They're too small for the task. They're very thin so if you press down to cut your food, it's a little uncomfortable. Lastly, they need to maintain their outdoor space. It's a nice space, but you can tell there's no upkeep. They also need to get rid of the personal lockers that sit back there. read more

This is such a cute place! It is located near old town Pasadena which is definitely a plus. There are plenty of parking places nearby, including street parking. It is next to a park so you can sit inside, their patio, or to go and walk a few feet away to the park. We ordered the 'D'Anjou' Crepe - which is a Pear filled crepe with chantilly creme on the side. It was super yummy! I definitely want to go back and try their other specialty crepes. This worked well as our dessert after a movie night!
