A deer hit me..l I would say I hit a deer, but IT ran across the road. Anyhow, my headlight was all that was damaged. I took it to Crest Ford and they ordered the part and it was fixed the following week. I believe the sales department of any dealership makes the first sale, but the service I receive from that point on keeps me at a dealership. I live in the greater Hartford area and drive to Crest now for sales and service. A friend recommended Crest. I still check their prices "to keep them honest" but that has never become an issue. Some dealers are part of a huge group, others not. I like knowing my money is actually going to a local dealer whose owner is on premises. They all pay the same amount for a car, but if the owner is there to yell at (should I have a problem) I feel better about my purchase. I am now on my second Ford SUV from them, and will continue to work with them. I am planning to replace my other car in 2021, and they will absolutely get the opportunity to sell it to me. Bought a used 2012 Ford Focus from them while stationed in Groton, Ct. They claimed they were all about serving the military. Well let me just let you know I do not recommend going here. I realized the car's cruise control, aux port and A/C did not work, and went up there and they told me tough luck your 60 day warranty has run out. I explained to them I had only driven the car for a week before I went on a deployment and they did not care. Worst customer service ever. read more

DO NOT pay any dealer fees! My experience has been extremely poor. If you must buy a car here, go to DMV yourself. I trusted them - the supposed experts - to do the paperwork correctly and have been deeply disappointed. We bought a car a YEAR AGO they screwed up the paperwork with the bank and DMV. They refuse to own the mistakes (Brandon) and, after all this time, they still haven't fixed it. I've called them and neither David nor Jon will admit that they did anything wrong. I've gone to DMV twice and it's still not resolved. Car buying is stressful enough without the dealer making it worse. Save your time / money and go elsewhere. I purchased a 2016 Transit van this summer, and am quite pleased with the whole experience. I dealt with Pasha, who was businesslike, but friendly and told me all the costs up front. There was no haggling (I already knew prices from shopping elsewhere), just an honest very fair price. I asked for a couple of slight repairs to be made, and those surpassed my expectations. Two weeks later I discovered a large crack in the windshield running along the base. There was no way anyone would see it, it just happened to catch the light just right one time. Took my car here back in April to fix the heat as it did not work. They called back with a number of different repairs they have to make as well as the heat. We gave the okay and I picked up my car 3 days later. When I got my car back, I still had no heat. I took it back the next day and picked up a day later. The heat was fixed... Up until August when it stopped working along with several other things. Since I have gotten it back I've had nothing but issues with my car including new problems and the same one I had when I had taken my car in the first time. Went in with trade in on my honda and already knew what it was worth and how much I would pay for a new Ford Fusion. I liked the idea that it was business and fairly non BS I hate the "how's the family" and "we ought to go fishing together some day" sales stuff that goes on in other dealers. A bit of back and forth on trade in value and in the end we gave in a bit but it all made sense. Our trade in was lacking AWD or 4WD and they honestly were concerned. In the end we're in a Ford Fusion and it handles like a 35K dollar car. Amazing on the highway and truly a beautiful car for it's price. Not a huge dealership and would have liked more of a selection with colors BUT big dealerships also lack the small town treatment we were given. I highly recommend buying from them. read more

I must bring out the worst in people, i try to be polite but it doesnt help. Called about a truck i saw online and asked for sales. Christine filock or something like that nicely says shes not a salesman shes a customer care coordinator who will steer me in the right direction. I ask finance ques and she hands me off to finance guy. He was straightforward about price of truck and ford finan. rates. I saidThey were too high b/c of my high credt score so he says if i fill out credit app he will check other banks and he could poss. Get me 3%. So! far so good. I do app online and get an email saying im approved but it doesnt say any terms! I call christine back and she says she will speak to finance guy. Then she emails saying they require a deposit to move forward! I replied Why would i give a deposit before i know terms? That ridiculous! Ur a horrible customer care person and full of poop. I need terms first, if they are acceptable, i need to go see and drive the truck and then give a deposit. Update!!!! A manager, jim lieba, just called me and tried to tell me he doesnt play games, he was worse than the others i spoke ro there. Its normal to take a deposit before giving finance terms!!! I told him to stop making a fool of himself but he kept going! I said if u were buying a car would u give a deposit without knowing the terms? He was spouting nonsense. " if u want the truck you would leave a deposit" i said i dont know if i want it because u wont tell me the interest rate!! Then he said " what if someone else wants the truck? My husband called to ask if we purchased the extended warranty on our vehicle that we bought from Crest Ford. ( because if we did, we misplaced the paperwork) The man on the phone, was nice enough to look up the info and call us back. My husband missed the call back yesterday, so I decided to call back today.The receptionist answered the phone, and I explained what happened, She asked who my husband spoke to. Then she asked in a way that I thought was very rude " Don't you have the paperwork to know if you bought it or not?" I said to her, If we did , we wouldn't have needed to call you. Then she went on to say that when she bought her warranty she kept her paperwork, and on and on. I got so upset, I hung up. She called back asking if we got disconnected. I told her no, I hung up on her because she was rude. She told me she has worked in customer service for 17 years, and she would never be rude, and that's not what she was doing. She went on. so I told her to never mind and my husband would just call to speak to someone else. We decided to use Crest ford because they were very nice when we were looking for a new vehicle, and not once were they pushy. The service department guys have always been nice and helpful as well. But this receptionist did not come across so nice. Maybe she is having an off day. That is why i gave 4 stars. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars for sure! read more

I'm sad to say that this Ford does not appear customer friendly when it comes to repairs. The company truck was taken there for a repair and the next day the truck completely dies first thing! They say its something else now an unrelated issue to the first problem that was fixed that apparently wasnt there before. If the second problem was not there before repairs,they obviously accidentally did something during the first repair. Its been all day going back and forth and still no resolution and they want me to incur charges for what appears to be their mistake! I am immensely disappointed that I feel they are trying to pull a fast one not give good customer service while we wait without a vehicle feeling frustrated. At this moment I would not recommend anyone I know going there for your repairs unless they are able to resolve this. read more

Nick and the service team at Crest Ford have been very helpful to us. Nick helped us get DMV paperwork on our 1966 T-Bird notarizedpatiet with my hovering husband, so when we needed work done on our '99 Ford 250 we felt we could trust him to give us straight answers and fair prices. They have been great at communicating our options, and have been patient with my fussy husband. We are just spending the summer in Niantic, and will need that truck to haul all of our stuff to California next month. It is good to have a local dealer we can trust! read more

I never write a bad review, I usually just take my business elsewhere, but Crest is so horrible with customer service I couldn't not write a review. Everyone I dealt with on the sales floor was very nice, after that, horrendous! The manager talked down to me and said " I'll get it when I get it and call you then " when I followed up on a manual for my SUV. Years later I still haven't received a call. The man who did the paperwork clearly hated his job, never smiled just robotically went through the papers. No thank you, he was just pissed at the world. I took the car in for warranty work, it took days to do minor things, 3 days for a door is ajar light. The service guy, I think his name was Brandon, was clueless, would said " I don't know what's going on with your car" and then one time told me that a couple cop cruisers came in so they had to work on them first. They never actually fixed the problem with the door they just blew on the sensor, it eventually became a recall issue and I took it to Whaling City Ford. Where they are respectful. I guess he was better than the other service guy, who "little lady-ed" me. I could not believe in this day and age that some men still talk down to woman as if they are clueless on how a car runs. I will never give Crest a dime of my business! It has been years and I still despise them! read more

I will never ever go here again. It started with my abs lights on, I went there to get it diagnosed. They said I needed a new abs module that would cost me about $600 but would take off $100 for getting it diagnoesed there. When I made the appointment they said they needed 3 days to get the part. I proceeded to make appt. the following week, when I brought it in they called me later that day to tell me I needed and ABS module and they didn't have it in stock. I was like are you kidding me, they wanted to keep my car (dropped it off Wednesday) until Monday when the part would be in. I said no way, please put my car back together and I will be down to pick it up. They where suppose to call me when they got the part it, but did not. Three weeks later I made the appt., they called me after putting in the ABS module and gave me this crap about my battery not being strong enough to program the Module. At that time i realized they where gonna screw me again, told them to put a new battery in and I wanted the old one to get it tested myself. Long story short, they charged me way more than the $500 and absolutely didn't give me MY battery back, some other one off the shelf if I had to guess and I had to pay $15 to get my own battery back. My boyfriend is a mechanic who tested the battery, he said it was totally dead, how can that be when I never had a problem with it until I brought it thier. read more

I use Crest to service my Ford Explorer. Usually they are very accommodating with fitting me in. You have to be very clear in what they are doing. I always get a full synthetic blend and once they didn't look up my history. So I had to spend an extra hour there while they drained the oil and re did it. I have also complained multiple times about my sync yet they can't seem to fix it or be motivated enough to fix it. Overall I'm not impressed by ford as a product. read more

I bought my car here last year and I could not of hated this place any more. My dealer was fine, but the finance manager was a self centered jerk who had no idea how to do his job. He almost ruined the deal because of his inability to do his job. The check engine light came on with in the 3 thousand mile warranty. I bring the car the 80 miles one way back to the dealer to have it fixed. They gave me the worst loaner ever. I got a Ford Fiesta that had been smoked in. They refused to give me another car. On the 80 mile drive how I got a very bad migraine from the smell. When I got my car back they said that they cleaned a sensor. That is it for a repair? The clean worked fine for 20k miles then the light came back. If they had fixed it right it should have lasted 80 thousand miles or more. Stay away from this joke of a dealership read more

While shopping to purchase a used Ford Focus, I called this dealership inquiring about a car they had listed online, asking if they could help me out a little on the price before I considered driving out there. I was answered by Dave, who said he would knock $400 off the asking price if I drove out there to look at the car. Everything online and over the phone seemed to check out, so I scheduled a trip out there to look at the car. When I arrived, I test drove what I thought was the car I viewed, but I immediately noticed this one had 8000 more miles than what was listed. When I finished the test drive (with my family only, Dave the salesman did not come on the ride) I asked him why there were almost 10000 more miles than what they listed. He told me the one I viewed has transmission problems and can't be sold, but they pulled this one aside for me to view instead. They never mentioned that over the phone or in any email. I then asked about the price, as I wasn't going to pay as much for a car with almost a year's more worth of miles. Dave then proceeded to tell me they were firm on the price being $200 more than what they told me because "It's in much better shape than the other one" that I didn't even get to see in person. Dave did not proceed to be helpful or friendly when I called out how silly of an argument that is to try and pull a fast one, offering a worse car for a higher price. We then proceeded to show Dave online better deals on better milage cars very close by in the area, with the intention that if he would work with the ridiculous price I would consider getting this car anyways. He then told me that I might as well "go out and buy the car with a better deal". Well Dave, I took your advice. I found a great deal on a 2013 ford focus hatchback that we knocked down to 9900, with almost 30000 miles less than the car Crest Ford had to offer. Dave was by far the most rude, unhelpful, and deceitful salesman I experienced throughout my entire car shopping experience. Not only did I have a horrible experience, but the mother of one of my clients was intimidated into buying another car that had transmission problems, and Crest Ford did not try to help her switch or fix her vehicle. I would NEVER recommend this dealership to family or friends, nor would I feel comfortable taking my vehicle here to ever get serviced. Buyer's beware. I will be fair here. I bought a certified truck from Crest Ford, and the transmission went out after two weeks. The transmission was covered under warranty, but I still had to deal with the breakdown and time lost dealing with it. A few weeks later I found out the rear window leaked. Also covered under the 60 day warranty, but still had to deal with no truck for several days while it was fixed. Then I found out the front brake rotors were warped. Since this was a few weeks past the 60 day warranty, they told me that it would cost $200 to repair. I took it to a brake specialist and they said that the front rotors were under factory specifications and the front pads had 1/32" left. In short, the front rotors and pads would need to be replaced. They also said that the rear rotors were not much over factory spec and would need to be replaced the next time the pads were replaced. There is no way the brakes would be in this condition after two months of use if they were properly inspected. I took it back to Crest Ford and they replaced the front rotors and pads at no expense to me. They also told me that the rear rotors would need replacement at the next servicing, this will be at my cost. I understand about the transmission and leaking window. What I don't understand is this was a certified used vehicle. There is a specific brake inspection that was supposed to be performed.The rotors were under factory spec, and the pads were almost metal to metal. Either they didn't inspect it properly or they missed it completely. My suggestion is if you buy a used vehicle from here, bring it to someone you trust to perform a complete inspection before you buy it. read more
