    @chevrolet Happy with my vehicle, but the SalesManager, calling me dishonest, failing to deliver vehicle, register, adding 1.5K in extras,leaving PII of former owner in it and employee theft from my vehicle. This what Chevy is about? @grossmanchevy. Additionally, here's all the add ons to increase their bill. The sales guy was the best, the rest is one I would avoid at all cost! Worst experience ever!     I was In a car accident 11/28 with my 2018 Nissan kicks . I had I towed to gross man Collision center because I love gross mans service department and body shop. Not a fan of sales lol but the body department has never steered me wrong and they are all extremely knowledgeable . They had a quote and a tear down done on my car in less than 48 hours. They called me and discussed what needed to be done and worked with my insurance in a timely manner . My car was a mess on the inside , from my dogs and the fact of . I've more or less been living out of it working in health care with covid and being stuck at work 16hr shifts back to back . It was gross and they didn't make me feel embarrassed . My car was in the shop a month as the repairs where extensive and is was like $8500 in damages and when I picked it up today it had been detailed and the inside was cleaned really nicely . The employee Tyler was very nice and knew what he was talking about . While I really hope I never have a accident again , they would be who I would use , or recommend to someone who needed the work done on their vehicle.

High labor rate may cost you when you're presented with final bill…read more My family, or I, over the past two decades, have brought several cars to be repaired by Superior'sbody shop, and we were always pleased with the results. However, our most recent repair experience was shockingly disappointing, and eye opening, to say the least. We used to trust Superior Auto when it was run by Tom, senior. Not any more. The business seems to be now run by Tom Junior, and their focus seems to be more on extracting as much money from a repair as they can get away with. We were given an initial estimate and was told by Tom that it could change, "once we get into opening things up --we may find things that will need to be covered under a supplemental claim that you can submit to your insurance carrier." The repair was to fix a four-foot long scratch on the passenger door. Little did we know that Superior's labor rate was significantly above the area's average labor rate. Without checking with us or the insurance company, Tom proceeded with repairs without getting our final approval and when the job was finished we were presented with a bill that was $2,000 over the original supplemental estimates by both parties. Our insurance company refused to pay the higher bill which was far above the supplemental estimate. The difference was due to Superior's high labor rate, which was about $40 over prevailing area rates, according to our insurance company. Refusing to negotiate a compromise,Tom gave us a a business card of an attorney that specializes in fighting insurance companies for these kinds of disputes. His take it or leave it attitude left us with no choice-- we needed our car back and paid the inflated bill out of pocket. A $6,000 bill to repair a scratch in the paint and to replace a door handle-- I shudder to think what an actual fender bender would cost with these guys. However ,the greatest disappointment was not being made aware of the discrepancy between the body shop and insurance company's estimates before the repair was initiated. We'll never go back to Superior Auto for any work. If you too too, bring your business to this shop be aware of this practice and run away if Tom tells you "We can submit a supplemental estimate..." unless your insurance company will cover his labor rate.

    Trust me! Take my advice and ignore all other places. This is the place to go for all your car…read moreneeds especially if you have a european car, whether it's mercedes, audi, Vw, BMW, mini, Saab etc. Tom is great and very knowledgeable when it comes to these cars and also a very charismatic individual. My wife's car, 2006 VW Jetta TDI was having an issue with the car going into limp mode at random times especially on the highways. It was beyond frustrating because the check engine light would go on with a generic code which made it hard to pin-point the exact cause of the issue. Tom took my car in and drove it for couple of days to troubleshoot the problem, and he did find the problem. It was a broken waste gate actuator that'd fail to open intermittently especially when the engine was under heavy load. After replacing the actuator the problem went away.. thanks to Tom. Here's the deal, I took the car to several mechanics prior to Euro Specialists, and none of them could figure out the problem. They all charged me diagnostic fees along with other things that they thought was causing the limp mode. Thanks European Specialists, I'll be sure to bring all my cars here for repairs and services.

I first started speaking with Seth in September 2021, and he was willing to hold the car that I wanted to buy for more than a reasonable amount of time, with only a $200 deposit! Unfortunately, I had to leave for the West Coast unexpectedly shortly after my great find. I informed Seth of my circumstances and he was beyond understanding, he called and left me a voicemail shortly thereafter to obtain my card # to refund my deposit, and, well, life happened and I forgot all about the deposit until yesterday, January 11, 2022 (4 MONTHS LATER!). Not only was Seth quick to get back to me, but was just as pleasant to speak with and work with even knowing that I still wasn't a "closed deal". It is rare to find [honest] "used car salespeople", but rest assured that Saybrook Auto Barn is not a great resource to find amazing deals on used cars, be they are extremely helpful and courteous on all fronts, and services they provide for their customers.     VERY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE…read more I walked in told John the vehicle I was interested in. The first item he wanted was my registration to my car I was trading in. Then he gives me the keys to the car I planned on buying and said you can look at it but you cant drive it! They stated the trade was low because of the interior. The interior had a missing leather piece from the gear box. My seats were fine and they stated all of my interior was in poor condition. John didn't even let me drive the car I was interested in. He was more concerned with gathering my personal information. I should have stopped him and walked out but I didn't. John only concentrated on the negative and not being positive about the car buying process. The employees at the showroom not very friendly, no one said Good Morning. Lastly, while leaving trying to make a cup of coffee - Keurig - and it wasn't working. There was another customer helping me, still wasn't working. The receptionist just staring out the window. I just could not wait to leave that place and annoyed at myself for not just walking out. Buyer beware!
