I own a 2023 Suburban. For the last few months, the windshield wipers will not shut off (even when the car is off). The service team had the car for EIGHT days with NO updates. Finally, I got a hold of someone that was helpful and they said the issue was seen / duplicated, but nothing is 'wrong' and to come get the car. Not a fan of sales lol but the body department has never steered me wrong and they are all extremely knowledgeable . They had a quote and a tear down done on my car in less than 48 hours. They called me and discussed what needed to be done and worked with my insurance in a timely manner . My car was a mess on the inside , from my dogs and the fact of . I've more or less been living out of it working in health care with covid and being stuck at work 16hr shifts back to back . It was gross and they didn't make me feel embarrassed . My car was in the shop a month as the repairs where extensive and is was like $8500 in damages and when I picked it up today it had been detailed and the inside was cleaned really nicely . The employee Tyler was very nice and knew what he was talking about . This is my second experience with Grossman in under a year. Unfortunately both experiences were not great and therefore I find it necessary to leave this review. For the purpose of this review I will focus on my most recent experience. I was quoted a price and told the initial quote would be close to the final quote but could move slightly. The final quote was drastically more expensive, almost double the original quote! This is after they already start doing the work so it would be nearly impossible to take my car out of there. On top of that when I came to pick up my vehicle after spotty communication and a lengthy stay at the body shop there was damage on the hood that wasn't there when I dropped it off. After a back-and-forth, which ultimately required looking at pictures that were taken prior they finally agreed that they caused the the damage and agreed to fix it but it delayed getting the car back yet again. Trying to get someone on the phone is nearly impossible so email is my suggestion as the whole body shop is run by one person in the front office. I don't leave negative reviews, but honestly there is more I could say that I am leaving out. Bad communication, over budget, changed the price, caused damage and tried to say they didn't, etc. I felt it necessary to share my experience, I apologize to the dealership for doing so, but in reality I should've been treated better from the start. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We purchased a vehicle from them back in January 2023. That experience was your true car salesman nonsense. We were offering full price, cash, and they still tried to get every penny from us with all the extra fees. This car was a very older model car and nothing fancy. Since it was not a high priced car, we felt from the beginning they just didn't care about the process. Fast forward to now, the car is completely not drivable and needs thousands of dollars of work. Not even a year later! We bring it to them and ask if they would purchase it back and Bill (who we have used from the beginning) offers $500. We agree to take that offer, but wait! Bill clearly never ran this by the sales manager and the sales manager doesn't want the car now. So not only did they lie straight to our face saying they would take the car back, we haven't even had this car for a full year and they completely don't care about their customers. We will never buy "local" and definitely stay clear from them. With some people buying a car is a huge process, and this one we felt used and not definitely not cared for as a customer. My family and I have bought 3 cars from Grossman. We had been loyal customers but after our latest issue we will not be returning and have suggested that to our friends and family. We sold my husbands truck back to the dealership as we no longer needed it and found out 2 weeks after we sold truck that the check Grossman sent to ALLY was not endorsed and was sent back to dealership. Instead of doing that right thing and overnighting a check to ALLY because they had made a mistake, they waited for the original check back and then regular USPS mailed it back to ALLY. The whole process took over a month to complete. Fast forward to our family looking to purchase a home and at that point we found out about my husbands two missed payments because of the check issue. Needless to say we are heartbroken because we have now missed out on an opportunity to buy our dream for our two kids. We requested a call back from the manager, but he was in a meeting (which lasted all day). I will never return here and will advise our many friends and family who live in that area to avoid this place. My family trusted Grossman to do their job and we were obviously mistaken placing our trust in this company. I completely regret choosing to do business with them. If this is how you treat your loyal customers, I fear for any person entering into a new contract with them. I've serviced a Mercedes here as I was able to get an appointment expeditiously and their world car Tech Marcus was able to get the schedule B service done quickly and for much less cost than even an independent German car specialist. Very polite and prompt. While waiting I walked around their lot, like many, light on new cars due to the chip shortage. However plenty of used cars some only 1 year old in overall nice shape. I wasn't sure if I should give 3 or 2 stars, but I think 3 is fair. Read and decide. PROS: ---Responsive. If they didn't pick up, they returned calls and emails within a day. Customer service was received mostly from Andrea, Reggie, Marykate, and Jeff the manager. As I purchased the car without seeing it, Andrea took time to take videos of it for me without asking. ---I visited their website after giving my deposit, and asked if car delivery and the 3 day return guarantee they have on their site is included. Reggie at first said no and thought I'd have to be charged for it, but then the manager Jeff picked up. He honored the guarantee and said it can be included in my purchase at no additional cost. It's a 90-120 minute drive to deliver it to NYC so I appreciate that. ---The advertised price of the car seemed the be a competitive fair price based on researching car values and autotrader sales. Manager wouldn't go down past that. CONS: ---Be careful. It took a little over 2 WEEKS to get my car delivered. The car had a recall I told the manager about. He said it would be taken care of after purchase. Fair enough, but I had no idea I'd be waiting over 2 weeks. I spent about $20 to express mail the money as I expected to get the camaro quicker. They first estimated I'd get it last week, then they guessed early this week, and finally they said it'll be delivered the end of this week. Time is ticking on having the top down on this convertible this summer because I had to wait this long. I should have asked to be compensated for such a long wait but I just wanted the car and be done with it. I called insurance to push back my policy 2-3 times because of inaccurate estimates. ---I can't knock them much for this as I know some other dealers do this too. I already purchased at the advertised price, and later I find out there were also hidden fees coming from the dealership like vin etching $199 and a conveyance fee of $399. A good dealership will let me know the fees and pricing that they're throwing on top of the price before negotiating and purchasing. Lesson learned.They charged $199 for etching when I can get it done for $20. They wouldn't waive it for me because they said they already did it, and they wouldn't lower the fee to a fair price either. My hope now is that the car runs like it's supposed to as it's a certified car that's in like new showcase condition. I'll edit this review later when I can say more on that. Anyways, hope this review helped some of you smart shoppers out there. EDIT 03/2018: Car is running great. Mileage is lower than estimated on a camaro 2012 v6 (sadly getting 11-13mpg), but it's possible it's because it's a racing car I drive in the city mostly. Who knows. read more

My husband a I went in to Grossman to start looking at new cars. We had no intentions of buying a car that day. However, John Zito was not pushy but had us look at a Treverse. Told us to test drive it and see if it was what we were looking for. It was! However, we wanted a bench seat in the middle row and this one had bucket seats. John said that he could order one for us, exactly how we wanted it. So we did and I love it! Everyone was so nice, friendly, and helpful. John Craddock texted me all the paperwork I would need so that most of the finance paperwork was done before picking up the new car. Made the process quick and seamless. This is the worst dealership ever!!! Don't ever go there or buy a car from there, I've had the worst experience with them especially with Linda Grossman I bought a New Chevy Traxx in November, I felt bad the minute I drove it off the lot. I was afraid to go back and tell them because it was the second car i had a problem with with them. I returned the first car I didn't like and instead of letting me return it, they made me buy another one this was the only choice they gave me. I had it towed to another dealer ad they told me it was infested with mice, feces and urine ad they had been in there quite a while. It is going to cost me $450 to fix it I called Linda Grossman because I was furious , not only did I shell out $4k down payment for this car, I was so physically ill from it, I went to the ER. She told me it probably happened after I had bought it, which is a lie , they said mice were in there for weeks to month to years. Linda the owner refused to reimburse me for all the bad dealings I've had with then and for the Pain and Illness I have endured. My goal is to save others from going to this dealership run by this heartless woman. I'm fighting to get reinbursed through every channel I know . Sloppy, disorganized, and dishonest I bought a car and love the car, so don't disregard this as a disgruntled customer.. but here's my shopping experience. Obviously the first issue is how they show an advertised price online and then after "running the numbers" the price out the door is over 30% higher (this is without financing). Then, I may have dragged out the negotiation process longer than necessary, but I was just trying to get a decent deal, I was lied to multiple times by various employees. First, Brian, the sales manager, told me the car I was interested in had been on the lot before he started working there 3 weeks ago, so he didn't know the backstory. Then, when talking with Pat in finance, he claimed they had only had the car for a week. When I told him what Brian said, he gave some story about how the deal had been made earlier but wasn't finalized until recently. Anyways, they all tell you they're loosing money on the car, and when asked, Pat "told me what they paid for the car." Pat also agreed on a lower price + 50% off tires when I need them next. A price Brian said they absolutely could not do, even without the tire deal. The last time before agreeing to purchase, I asked for the keys to take another look, and was told "you've already seen the car." It was like I had to convince them to sell me the car. I'm not in sales, but I could outsell any one of the lazy bums here. When I finally went to purchase the car, Linda claimed she couldn't agree to the tire deal, and after checking with Pat, begrudgingly accepted. From the start you could tell I was not a valued customer since I was looking at one of the cheaper cars on the lot. They stuck the rookie salesman on it and failed to act like I was a serious customer. It's been a few months since I bought the car, so hopefully they've gotten rid of the employees I dealt with, but I felt like I had to wait to write this review. If I had needed to go back for any type of service I don't believe they are professional enough to have treated me fairly had they seen this review. In addition to the issues purchasing the car, when it came time to pick the car up, they dragged their feet on registering, and finally agreed to give me a dealer plate to drive the car in the meantime. Once I drove off the lot, I was completely forgotten. A week went by without hearing from them before I called to see if they had my plates. "We're going to send someone to the registry tomorrow." I stop by a few days later, still no plates. I miss the deadline for the MA insurance inspection because I can't leave CT on dealer plates. I call again, they finally send someone to register the car. If I had left the incompetent staff to deal with the registration without prodding, I fully believe I would still be driving around on Grossman's dealer plate, 6 months later. Definitely would not return for any future vehicle purchases, and recommend all others stay away. Give your business to someone who will earn and appreciate it. read more

So I found a used vehicle I liked (by searching online), drove about an hour from home to try it out, bought it and drove it home the same day! So far, so good. Vehicle came with a "60 day or 6000 mile" warranty, so I figured anything that might crop up within that time/mileage should be "covered". Fast-forward a few weeks. As I get to know this vehicle, I note that there's a slight vibrating at highway speeds, like a tire/wheel slightly out of balance. Also, the rear lift-gate (it's an SUV style vehicle) hydraulic pistons (called "props"?) seem to be fairly weak, as the lift-gate doesn't raise up all the way by itself (like most do), nor does it pull down easily to close it. It seems quite "heavy", like one or both of the 'props' is leaking (and there's evidence of that on one of them). I called the dealership within the 60 day period, explained the issues, and asked if I could have the "props" replaced and the wheel balance checked...under the warranty. They told me the warranty would not cover those things, only things relating to "safety inspections". The replacement "props" are about $30 each (takes two of them), and I was told the labor is perhaps a 20-30 minute job. Wheel-balancing is generally not too expensive (max. $15 per wheel?). I drove there anyway after a few days, thinking I'd be able to convince them to do these "relatively inexpensive" fixes for me without charging me full price, if not for free. I was so wrong! They gave me a "song and dance" story about how new "props" might actually make the lift-gate issue worse (Really? With NEW 'props'? Sounds questionable to me!). Also, they told me the tires seemed to be "cupped", which would explain the slight vibrations at highway speeds, and, as such, would have to 'wear-in' so the vibrations would become less over time. Again...Really? Is that how reputable dealerships handle all their customer issues I wonder? I asked if I could at least take the new "props" with me (at no cost) to install them myself, but was told they could not do that. I left the dealership without having anything corrected, since I refused to pay for flaws I felt should have been already handled without my having to point them out. Would I return to Grossman? Probably not. Would I recommend Grossman? Probably not. I'm just sayin'... read more
