RIP to what was the best staff and warm welcoming environment before the shut down happened!! My family and I were huge lovers of this place before the shut down!! Walked in after the shut down and absolutely nothing felt the same and not in a positive way either!! We ended up having to leave before even sitting down just simply due to the cold environment and staff!! Almost cried when leaving!! I have driven by this place for years and finally decided to stop and try it. Much to my delight the food was good and the service was efficient. I got my tasty order of French toast, eggs and sausage very quickly. This is a place to visit when you are looking for a good breakfast. read more

Stopped by for Saturday breakfast a few weeks back and Criddle's Cafe was just okay. We were seated rather quickly despite how busy they were, and the staff was very nice. We ordered a cup of coffee and orange juice to drink, a scone to share, and then a Denver omelette and biscuits and gravy for our main meals. For diner food, the portions were decent, but the price for the food was a little high in our opinion. The biscuits and gravy were slightly gelatinous and the eggs were okay to taste and texture. My husband thought the omelette was good but the hash brown potatoes were soggy. Overall, just an okay place for food. read more

Best breakfast diner in Utah! The best food and the best service! Emily and Keri are the best!

So, this has been our go to place for breakfast for many reasons. The food is always good and so is the service. For many years, we ordered the everything omelette and split it. We would also order a scone and usually a side of bacon or something else like that. Well imagine my shock today when we found we could no longer do that! At least not at an affordable price. Everything on the menu appears to have increased by $1.50 or in that neighborhood. And if you want to split something or share it, that is now $9.99 per person. So your $8.50 cheese omelette now costs you $20.00 if you want to split it. That does not even make sense, and it is clearly spelled out on the menu that way. I can understand a reasonable split plate charge like other restaurants do but double the cost? Don't get me wrong the food is very good as is the service. Yes I will go back just not really soon and when we do we will have to do some crazy menu selections to get what we want at a reasonable price reasonable price. read more

Not only excellent, but it was a step black in time for me. The only difference was that the waitress was not a little old Japanese Lady and they didn't have malasadas, nor Portuguese Sausage on the menu. The scone was huge, but delicious. The Chicken Fried Steak and eggs was not only worth it, but desirable to have again. Even the Spousal Unit fell in love with her Raspberry Fritter. That is a major accomplishment especially since she sucked it down. Yep, we have found a new place to enjoy breakfasts. read more

If you want a good scone they are great, but nothing special about the food, in fact, it was kind of flavorless, maybe since I ordered my hash browns without gravy. Service was quick if you are looking for a quick sit down meal. It was a very busy and lots of people talking which made it hard to visit. read more

In Utah for a wedding. Figured I would go get some breakfast. Pull into the parking lot, it is filled with cars. Good start Seated quickly. Plenty of people working and service was very good. And quick. Coffee is key for good breakfast for me. It was solid! Ordered meat lovers omlette with a side of tomato and a scone Omlette was good. Egg was good. I have had better. I have had worse. The meat was really good. Sausage had good flavor. Also came with a side of salsa which was amazing. Tomato as simple as it is, was fresh. Scone - amazing. Big enough for two. I have been going here monthly, sometimes weekly, singe they opened. Always good food and great service. Not today. This is the first time I left zero tip and left angry. The waitress ignored the fact she forgot syrup until I was able to catch her and get it. After the pancake was cold. Multiple waitstaff walked by with coffee for their tables, could not top of ours as our waitress was busy sweeping and ignoring us. Once I finally got her to refill the coffee. She then proceeded to start sweeping around us, including under our table while we were trying to enjoy our breakfast. The final straw today was when the servers were pulling the booths out to clean them, pushing the other tables up to ours. Felt that we needed to be gone, as we were in their way. I love the Chef Salads here. The salad doesn't come with a roll, nor do they offer any. The breakfast's are very good as well. Wonderful service, although no rolls, the waitress offered toast. Ambiance is okay, it is simple like most cafes. They close early so plan on getting there prior to 1:00 pm. read more

This is a nice little local cafe. The food has a reasonable price and the quality matches. I enjoyed every aspect of my meal. The bathroom could use some cleaning/upkeep however. I don't live here but if I did this would be my go to. Biscuits and gravy... there are actual chunks of sausage. Need I say more? I wanted the best of two worlds so I ordered a veggie omlette, added ham, instead of toast, a biscuit and a side of gravy. It was delicious and the portions are substantial. My daughter and I love to go out for breakfast on the weekends. We usually try different places every week. We found a riddles and been going almost every week for either breakfast or lunch. The club sandwich is fantastic. I order this when ever we are there late morning/lunch time. read more

We've been to Criddles several times and it is usually at least decent. We went early - around 7:30 - and I ordered a vegetarian Denver omelet. This is my normal order here, because I can't eat mushrooms and all they have to do is take the ham out of a Denver omelet. Omelet arrived with mushrooms and tomatoes (they gave me a full vegetarian omelet rather than what I ordered). It took me several minutes to get the attention of the waitress, who was inattentive and talking to another employee for some length. We finally got her attention and she was pretty flummoxed by my "vegetarian Denver omelet" order, even though I have ordered this exact thing from her several times in the past. I explained that I literally just want a Denver omelet with no ham, but to please forget about it now and I'll just eat my husband's extra pancake. I didn't want another one remade for me. She tells me she's "never heard of such a thing" and leaves. Again - ordered this exact thing from her several times in the past. She comes back with a full Denver omelet (ham included) ten minutes later, even though I didn't want it. I tell her I can't eat it because it has ham. She leaves it on the table for my husband to take home. We ask for the bill. She charges us for both omelets, even though I asked to not have one remade. I paid and tipped 20% because the food here is cheap and she still technically served us, but I'm pretty dissatisfied with the service I received here and I will no longer be returning. No ham isn't that hard. read more

Crosses is a good old school breakfast diner. Nothing to shout about. Just a good breakfast for a change. It has a rustic feel with booths, and the waitresses are hit and miss on the friendly scale. The price is right. read more

Bring a sleeping bag and a pillow. After you polish off breakfast here you are going to need a nap. I'm not going in to a ton of detail over the breakfast food because well, it's breakfast food. You just need to know that a.) what you order is going to be really good and b.) there is going to be a lot of it. Here's what you need to know: 1.) There's a Poly twist to this place. You can get plate lunch and Polynesian influenced food and it's legit. 2.) The cinnamon rolls are about 9"x 9". I have had smaller birthday cakes. The "kids" sized rolls are too much for an adult as well :) 3.) Patty sausage for the win. 4.) The gravy is good. Go check this place out. For a tiny, out of the way place, it's really understated. The food is fresh and cooked like my granny did back in Nebraska. Perfect and huge portions. Where your cup never runs dry of coffee and the Cinnamon rolls are bigger than most people's heads. The scones are huge too and worth every penny. The staff is amazing too read more
