We love ordering from Crimson specifically for their Mediterranean Salad with white chicken, Kale Caesar, and their french fries. The Mediterranean Salad has a great dressing and is chock full of veggies. I like the Kale Caesar, but always ask for the dressing on the side to avoid it from being over dressed or drenched. The star of the show is for sure their french fries. Not sure what seasoning they use on it, but they are always good--even when they're cold! Their rice is yummy if you're in the mood for rice and meats/veggies. We've tried a variety of different protein and menu options, and have always come right back to these three things. We love this place. Their food is consistently good. Haven't found a better Mediterranean restaurant near us. We usually get sirloin and chicken (dark meat), but their other protein options are good too. We've tried plate, gyro, wrap, and salad and they are all amazing. I personally don't care for their rice so I usually get either gyro or kale salad. Their kale salad is soooo good. I usually don't like kale but I'd eat their kale salad every day. My husband likes their rice and their garlic sauce, so he usually gets a plate. Gotta give a big shoutout to Crimson's catering service. We ordered bunches of food from them for an informal pre-wedding dinner get-together for 35 people. The food was delivered on time, abundant and delicious. Pedro and everyone else were super nice, so helpful in getting the food set up, and were just really a pleasure to deal with. They were also really attentive to making sure there was food for meat lovers (those filet kabobs were delicious), fish and chicken eaters (more tasty kebobs), vegetarians (pretty much all the appetizers, and falafels with tasty sauces), and folks with serious gluten concerns (pretty much everything was gluten-free except for the pitas, and salad with bow-tie pasta which they helpfully packaged separately). I did a Yelp search for places to have a healthy light lunch and Crimson was my choice. It was a good one indeed, so good, I went back two weeks in a row. Cut to the chase, the food is excellent and so is the quality. The portions are good, too. See my pics, the food is as good as it looks! I had a filet kabob, $14.95. It was delicious, and the sides were too. You get two choices of sides, by the way. My friend had the Mediterranean salad, $13.50, again, all good! They have a water station, one with cucumber and the other just plain water. It's free, and it's good! You order at the counter and they give you a number to put on your table. It takes a cool minute to get your food, but it's worth the wait. It's made to order and the quality is excellent. For dessert, I had a peanut blondie. It was $1.50. It's really really small but it so super sweet even a small amount is more than enough. I love sweets but this is just way too sweet. There are plenty of tables but when it's busy the open tables remain uncleared. We had to sit at a dirty table for a good twenty minutes before someone came to clear it. I think they do the best they can, though. Nice staff. You can park in the lot in back or look for street parking. It's a good place to meet up with a friend because parking is easy to find. A huge plus on the westside. Lunch for two was about $32 plus tip. Not too bad, about par for the area. read more

This place is so cute! Especially the outdoor seating area that lines the side of the restaurant. My friend and I came here on a Tuesday night to catch up over dinner. Parking was super easy with their parking lot in the back and side street parking. We both opted for the white meat chicken kabob dishes with sides. I ordered the mini broccoli salad as my side and it did not disappoint! The garlic sauce that comes with the plate is heavenly (not for your breath after) and it was filling but not overly filling. They have fruit/veggie infused water for you by the door which is extremely refreshing. Definitely worth checking out especially if you don't want to deal with other west la restaurants terrible parking. It's a quaint restaurant with gorgeous interior and exterior decor. This has been one of my favorite Mediterranean spots, and I'm sad that I visit less ever since I moved out from Santa Monica. The restaurant is on Ocean Park - while it's usually a peaceful neighborhood, it's especially peaceful during COVID as the nearby offices are shut down. There's generally around a 30 minute wait (longer at peak times) for food, so be sure to call ahead to get your food right when you arrive. There's about 5 tables indoors and 5 tables outdoors. We ordered our usual - the Filet Mignon kabob plate. I got my plate with rice and grilled veggies, my boyfriend ordered with fries, grilled veggies, and salad substitute instead of rice. His logic is that the salad offsets the calories from the fries so it's guilt free :p You can choose from a side of rose sauce or garlic sauce, we always opt for garlic! The filet is always cooked perfectly and the grilled veggies are so juicy. The vinaigrette on the salad is refreshing, and the seasoning on the fries are not too salty. THE GARLIC SAUCE is to die for. Not the best option for a romantic date, since it'll leave your mouth smelling garlicky for the day. But I'd put that sauce on literally anything - it's that good. They offer free cucumber water but they also have a variety of caffe drinks (coffee from Intelligentsia) along with a selection of baked goods. If you have room for dessert after your meal, I'd probably drive 5 mins to Sawtelle and try out a few of the Asian sweets in the area. read more

I have been coming here for years but the quality is inconsistent which is extremely disappointing. The last time I ordered takeout they forgot my sides and I was told I would have a comp order for the next time I wanted to order because they couldn't find a way to refund me for that portion. I tried to use the comp order and was told that it was only valid for 30 days even though the person at the time did not make me aware of that. I mean how hard is it to put some staples or stickers on the top of the delivery bag. You've agreed when I called and asked, and have always assured me that it's the policy; yet, every time, yep every time, the bag comes delivered wide open. You've made a change in charging for the sides - no longer included but a couple dollars for any side. AND raising the prices overall - I understand, inflation affects us all - BUT are three staples in the top of the delivery bag too much to ask? C'mon, you can EASILY do better. why don't you? This review is for customer service. I called in an order yesterday, was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. The person on the phone repeated the order back to me twice. Order was actually ready around 35 minutes. Got home to discover what 1/5 plates I took home was wrong. The person could not eat what I brought home and driving back to get a new order at 6 pm would have taken at least half an hour in traffic. I called to inform them of this error to ask for a credit or refund as I had to find another dinner solution and was told the manager was unavailable but would call me back the next morning latest. I left my name and number, never got contacted. Waiting a little bit longer and one wrong dish isn't normally a big deal but they missed a customer service opportunity here to rectify the situation. I love the variety of food they have. They even have salmon and filet mignon. I also love that you can get all kinds of salads and sides instead of the traditional rice and grilled vegetables. I've also had their baklava and their brownies and they are delicious. The inside is well decorated with lots of plants. Also free parking is so key in Los Angeles. Crimson is fresh, delicious and they serve Intelligentsia coffee... hello! I oscillate between two go to meals, the white meat chicken kabob and salmon kabob always with two sides, because I can never choose just one! Best babaganoush around. Also love the fries, both seasoned and sweet potato are good. Hummus solid. Try the Rose sauce, I actually prefer it over the garlic sauce here. The garlic sauce is not authentic enough for me at this place. Not that tangy, lemony, garlicky sauce that's piped out stiff on your plate like in regular Mediterranean spots. Crimsons garlic sauce is more runny and less flavorful...but their Rose sauce is a winner. Excellent lattes and don't skip the dessert bar! Macaroons, cakes and tarts are quite nice. We've ordered takeout several times now and made our way through chicken kabob (dark), ground sirloin and lamb loin. The tenderness across them all was evident and we especially enjoyed the fatty flavors of the ground sirloin. Parking is easy in their parking lot behind the building. I split a lamb kabob plate and a salmon plate. The lamb was deliciously seasoned, tender, and was not gamey at all. The salmon was cooked very well and melted in your mouth. Each dish comes with a small salad and a side (lots to choose from). The tzatziki had the right consistency and went great with the pita it came with. The broccoli salad (side) was a great option to be on the healthier side. Definitely one of my favorite places for delivery. Crimson and BBQ salads are very good. By default they're tossed with dressing so can get a little soggy unless you eat all in one night. Have gotten the filet mignon kebab plate a few times. The meat is pretty tender, though sometimes a little overcooked. Have gotten the chicken shwarma wrap, a little heavy on the pickled veggies but good overall. Fries are seasoned, the dark orange type. Always crispy! Hidden gem on the menu is the Flourless Chocolate Tart for dessert. For $4.50, you get a delicious fudgy round of dark, potent chocolate. Amazing.
