Fantastic fresh and good tasting food, healthy and in a friendly atmosphere. A long awaited change from the typical Lynchburg fried fare.

We came to Crisp on a hot June afternoon for lunch. The salad offerings were fresh and were made right in front of you. It kind of reminded me of Chipotle where you pick your options and they put them in the bowl and mix it right in front of you. While the food was fresh, it was nothing memorable. I paid extra to have chicken added to an Asian salad, which came with a peanut dressing. And again it was good, but not great. Nothing I couldn't get at any other restaurant that serve salads. Also note that this restaurant is very small and seating is very limited. I almost gave my table up to a couple who came in with a young child and there wasn't any seating left. But luckily, a table open up before I had to do that. So give yourself time to wait for a table if you plan on eating at the restaurant if it's during the lunch hour. read more

This was a fantastic find on Yelp. The food is delicious, they make it in front of you, portions are generous we both took home leftovers, healthy/ clean eating, not over priced for food, juices are great, place is clean, staff is friendly . It was a 10 minute drive from where we are staying and it was worth it. The best place I've been in Lynchburg. I really can't say enough great things about it. We will be back. read more

I had the Harvest Bowl, it was amazing. Kale and spinach with quinoa, little chunks of sweet potato and apples, with a light dressing, oh sooo good! It was a huge amount of food for $7. Lots of healthy options here, and vegetarian choices. This will be my new favorite place to eat whenever I'm in Lynchburg. I can't wait to go back and try something else! read more

They have a wide variety of options to choose from. The salads are GREAT, and there is a huge variety of quality toppings to add on. I think that the bread item add-on's (the breadsticks and such) are incredible. Crisp gets at least a bi-weekly visit from me, I'd visit more often if it was just a little bit closer! read more

I'm usually not a fan of salad bars because most places leave the greens out too long, which become disguisedly soggy by the time they get to me, but the salads and wraps at Crisp have all been very fresh and crispy(name well deserved!) each time I've been here. The juices are also delicious and don't contain any extra sweeteners or fillers. Super pumped to get a genuinely healthy option nearby :) read more

Ah-mazing! They have awesome selection of salads, wraps and "build your own" menu options! Everything is so fresh and the prices are reasonable considering how large the portions are. Easily my favorite spot for lunch in Lynchburg. These guys have reinvented the salad and the salad wrap, not to mention healthy eating (and drinking -- their juices are bangin'!). Portions are easily for two. The cob is incredible, but my favorite is the Moroccan wrap (with falafel). Their new location, which is right down the block from my house, is lovely. Stopped by today to take advantage of the warm weather with a walk throughout the downtown area. We sit in the outside seating area with our dogs and both got small (more than ample size btw) Caesar salads. One of the best I've ever had. Our first visit and we were impressed. We be back. read more

Love this place! Yeah, it's a little pricy but for fresh, clean food, you can't beat it. Great salads and you can turn any salad into a wrap. First time trying Crisp. I placed my order online so that it would be ready when I got to the location. I have never dined at Crisp before so I wasn't too sure where to go or who to talk to. I stood in front of appeared to be their checkout register and was blatantly ignored. Eventually I saw where they keep their pick up orders and mine was ready so I walked over and grabbed it. When I turned to leave someone told me to have a great day. I was never greeted, welcomed into the restaurant, asked if I could be helped, but I was spoken to once I left, which shows me that they saw me in there the whole time, and chose not to speak to me. I understand that this crisp location downtown has been here for a very long time, but there are still people who may have never been here, so they should keep that in mind. I also ordered two rolls, a plain roll and a specialty roll. When I got to my car I discovered I had two plain rolls. I went back into the restaurant and asked if they were indeed both plain rolls, to which one of the workers replied yes with an attitude that would make you think that I shouldn't be questioning what they gave me. There was a price difference between the rolls, so I asked if my payment would be adjusted accordingly. Finally somebody else chimed in and explained to me that they had ran out of the specialty rolls I ordered and that is why they substituted it with a plain roll. She offered to give me a refund and an extra roll. I declined the refund, but accepted the extra roll. All I was looking for was some clarification about my order. Salad was okay. read more

From the couple that brought you canopy food truck comes a great place for a fresh salad, wrap, breakfast bowl, or a cup of fresh squeezed juice. My husband and I went here on opening day and were pleasantly surprised with all of the choices we had for the salad bar. If you go for lunch, they have a few salad choices pre-done on the menu, or you can choose to do a make your own salad. If you go that option, you are given for choices of lettuce, and then you can have up to four basic toppings free, plus a dressing. There are also premium toppings for $.99 each, and there's also a selection of different meats that you can add for an additional price also. They offer a wide range of homemade dressings as well. Everything is piled into a metal bowl where they toss the dressing and the toppings together and then put it into a great container. See my picture for the menu and a picture of the salad I had today. It looks like for breakfast they offer sandwiches, oatmeal, and some other types of bowls in addition to lots of fresh juices. Their orange juice machine is pretty awesome-it juices 40 oranges a minute! We will definitely be back to try more menu items when they have everything up and running. read more

I got a Baja salad, rolls, and extra dressing. They put it in a plastic bag. When I got home I had a bag full of dressing covering the salad bowl and the paper bag holding the rolls. The tops were not secure on the dressing cups. What a mess!!! read more

The soups they have here are the best I have ever had I don't like the juice bar or any of the salads or wraps I just go there for the soups and bread. The dessert are really good as well the service up front definitely needs to improve but over all if you like soups and salads this is the place to go. read more

Pretty good salad with not so ordinary ingredients although for the price it could've been larger. As for the smoothie it was good as well but a 16 oz for $6 is on the steep side. I walked out with $17 and change less than I walked in with and I didn't have much to show for it. I know quality or better ingredients are more expensive but I was in San Diego for a time where this type of place is huge and healthy food places are delivering more for less. Lessen the prices or slightly increase the quantities of Crisp and you'll have something. read more

What a wonderful experience I had at Crisp! The staff and manager/owner are very nice and ready to accommodate to make sure everyone is thoroughly satisfied with the food and service. Disappointed. I felt rushed when choosing my meal. The people behind the counter acted like they were getting off shift (they had their backpacks on). I was the only person in line. I was overcharged by $.69, because they thought I got a premium topping. After I pointed out that I did not receive a premium topping, I was only refunded $.15 (a premium topping is $.69) It wasn't worth arguing over. Food was fresh, but overpriced. $20 for a wrap and a salad is too much. read more
