Really good açaí bowls in north shore. Honestly some of the best peanut butter as well I got the surfers bowl with bee pollen because they were out of the coconut superfood topper. It was filling and I liked the amount of toppings but wish there was more açaí base for the price. Service was quick and plenty of picnic tables or you can just walk around and enjoy it!

Located right in the middle of Haleiwa town right next to Hurley and across from Kokua general store. There is parking right in front. You know you're in the right place when you see the purple stand with yellow writing. Right next to it are a lot of tables with surrounding other truck food What I like about the Açaí is the base is just açaí, water and a little fruit. Basically you're getting straight up açaí that they blend made to order. Other places use sorbet, soft serve or blend a bunch of frozen strawberries in the acai. Mostly just açaí gives its deep purple colorIt comes with bananas that is always fresh and granola that is crunchy and compliments the bowl. You can add other items - I like to add honey and my hubby likes adding blueberries, strawberries and peanut butter. They have so many add ons to choose from condensed milk, gogi berries, coconut, chia seeds and more. Crispy grinds offers bowls that offer different toppings like the Hawaiian that includes macadamia and pineapples. Honestly, I can't help myself I have to stop and get an açaí bowl here when I'm in Haleiwa.

This is the tastiest açaí bowl I've ever had! I added honey and peanut butter to mine and oh my goodness, so delicious Paired well with a beautiful & sunny day in Hawaii The texture was that of a regular açaí bowl however the taste wasn't as "earthy" as some that I have had other places. The sweetness coming through from the honey and peanut butter was perfect. Even my fiancé who isn't a big fan of these liked this bowl too Service was quick too but I saw multiple groups frequent the truck so I had to give it a go

This is my favorite açaí bowl place on the north shore I will always recommend this place to whoever goes down that side for açaí bowl. They always have great customer service and the place is always so welcoming. I always stop by when I'm down that side of the island.

After a long day on the North Shore we were looking for something delicious. We were all satisfied with this food truck. I got an açai bowl. It was fresh and tasty. Outside of the base, each extra fruit or topping costs extra so my small bowl quickly became the highest priced item on the ticket. Companions ordered coxincha and said it was delicious. Those are Brazilian street food fried shredded chicken. They also got the Brazilian soda. It is a guarana dink so be prepared to be energized if you buy it:).

This food truck is open at the fisherman's wharf parking lot. Their 1st truck is located at sunset beach elementary school. They were on the TV channel 2 morning show letting everybody know if you stop by the food truck and mentioned channel 2 we saw them they offer 10% off. We had their spinach and feta pastel and the ground beef and the palm of hearts pastel. It's a crispy light wrap with the filling inside whether you like sweet or savory. It's was very good hot and crispy. They also have acai bowls too. The owner is husband and wife team. Husband takes the money and wife frys the food. Will be back to try the acai bowls and the sweet pastels. THIS YELP IS THE ADDRESS FOR THE HALIEWA LOCATION.

A friend of a friend had recommended the açaí bowls at Crispy Grindz to us, and while we were walking around doing some shopping in Haleiwa we figured we'd stop by to try it out! We absolutely loved the açaí bowls here - the texture of their açaí is not too icey but not too watery, almost like a froyo which is how I like it. The flavor was refreshing and full of color, and the granola and fruits were super fresh as well! There is a lot of picnic table seating outside the booth, and they make your bowls pretty quickly! I'd definitely come back here for another açaí bowl during my next trip to O'ahu.

My family and I love this little place. Their Patels are super delicious, although don't expect the pizza to be a traditional "pizza" filling. It is cheese with tomato and oregano it was still delicious, but disappointing to my kids who were expecting marinara sauce and cheese. The chicken and cheese and ham and cheese it really good! I had their banana and cinnamon which reminds me of banana lumpia. The wait times for the Patels can take a while because they fry it fresh for you but they are definitely worth the wait! The açaí bowl is not as sweet as other açaí places. I've been told it's because it's not as processed and the closest to actual açaí. The girls are super nice and the location is right on the main road of Haleiwa. Parking is limited and getting in and out of there can be a hassle.

My favorite spot for açaí! I'll make the drive from Waimānalo when I have an açaí craving. Not only açaí but they have brazilian snacks like coxinha, pastel, brigadeiro and guaraná. It's great to have REAL açaí with leite ninho (powdered milk) I love my bowls real simple like Brasil. Good thing is they have two trucks for me to choose but the Haleiwa is my favorite. They have many varieties of pastels my go to Quiejo or spinach and feta you gotta try it. Hit up Crispy Grindz for a real Brasileiro experience. read more

Coxinhas & Pastels, tried them for the first time today ... AWESOME! Totally recommend trying these. Plus they are made to order so when you get um, they are HOT & delicious. Wanna go back to try the other flavors too. Coxinhas - tried the chicken. Light and "Crispy" outside, stuffed with chicken and cheese within a potato dough. Add some hot sauce and enjoy. Pastel - had the spinach and feta. Hot, fresh and tasty! Idea comes from Japanese culture which was adopted by Brazilians using savory or sweet fillings. Didn't have a chance to try their Acai bowls. Next time for sure. read more

This is definitely NOT SHAVE ICE. It's awful, big chunks of ice, not fluffy shaved ice. Even the toppings are not like shave ice syrup, but so thick that it doesn't penetrate the ice. Only tried since everything else is closed. Don't bother for any type of ice bowl or shaved ice. Like mainland type, crunchy chunky ice, No Shaved ice here. read more

Such a perfect place for a snack!! Acai bowls and the coxinha are delicious. We stopped here after hitting up a few beaches on the way and were hungry but not for a huge meal. Ordered two coxinha and don't let the photos fool you- they're BIG! They fry it when you order it so you get it hot and delicious with the crispy outside, hot potato, chicken and melted cheese. Yummmm. Add some tapatio and you have the best combo. Sooo yum. Parking was easy as there is parking right in front and around the shops nearby. The only thing is that there may be a bit of traffic in and out of that area since there's a long stretch of beaches. Overall, this place is perfect for a post swim snack! :) read more

Hands down. Best açaí bowl I have found on the island! My husband and I were on the hunt to find the best açaí bowls here. We have tried about 4 other places on the island but nothing compared to this. The portion was huge! And they were very generous with their granola. The granola was so sweet and crispy. The honey was just the right amount of honey. And they song add an juices so it's as authentic as it gets. Supper yummy! read more

**MUST-TRY** They do authentic Brazilian pastel, cozinha, brigadeiro and all goodies! We had cheese and pizza pastel and a coxinha filled with heart palms and cheese. Coxinha were full of filling and super crispy panko crumbs. It was just the best! Felt like I was in Brazil again ;) Service with a big smile and lots of aloha. Thumbs up! read more

Great quick service! We went there twice in once day. Run by the sweetest Brazilians! The pastels are a yummy crispy wonton pastry like pocket of goodness. You can have different types of pastels ham and cheese, pizza, spinach and feta, even bananas and cinnamon and strawberry and chocolate. If your in the North Shore across from pipeline look for the purple food truck off the road! It's worth the stop! read more

Authentic Brazilian street food and açaí bowls! My family was driving up the North shore when we past a Brazilian flag and purple sign reading ACAI, COXINHA, PASTEL, GUARANA. We turned around immediately. I was badly craving a coxinha (chicken/cheese/potato cutlet) so that's what I went for, and it did not disappoint. Better than most of the ones I had in Brazil because it was made to order. For a drink I got an açaí smoothie which was delicious and sweeter than the dragon fruit smoothie which they also offer. According to the nice Brazilians that work there the açaí is shipped directly from Brazil. There are many places to get an açaí bowl on the North Shore but none do it better than Brazilians. If you have ever gone to Brazil or tried their food, this is a rare opportunity to get authentic snacks in the US. Will definitely revisit whenever I am on Oahu. read more

So glad we stumbled upon this place while vacationing in North Shore. My first Acai bowl-- and I'm a bit concerned they've set quite a standard. I'm not really a fruit person, nor a granola person for that matter. But wow, the Acai smoothy base, so cold and creamy was a perfect foil to the granola crunch. Topped off with ripe bananas and a drizzle of honey... yum.... Went back the next day. And the next... I get cravings just thinking about them. My guy was hooked on the pastel (large crispy wonton wrapper filled with your choice of savory or sweet fillings). He opted for the banana cinnamon that was warm and perfectly crisp. Overall we were happy with the generous portions and absolute deliciousness. Service was quick and friendly. And the setting is super charming. Purple truck right off the highway just steps from the beach. Can't wait to return. In the meantime I'll fantasize about them coming out to LA ;-) read more

My favorite pit stop at the North Shore for a snack! For a truck style of fast food, that moves around, it's as good as it gets, very cheap, bring CASH, and delicious, this is a Brazilian food truck, their main is the ''Pastel'' Brazilian deep fried enormous won ton filled with a few selections you can chose from, ground beef, chicken, cheese, ham and cheese, spinach and cheese(my favorite), and ''Coxinha'' based on dough made with wheat flour or potatoes and chicken broth, which is filled with chicken meat. The filling consists of chicken, onion and parsley, I always eat my Pastels and Coxinhas by adding a little ketchup or Tabasco like spices. Crispy Grindz also has a great Acai bowl, also ask to try the Guarana a soda drink from Brazil that uses the fruit Guarana from Amazon, it is a refreshing beverage known in Brazil for its powers as a natural energetic. I know that the truck is usually parked on Saturdays at the Sunset Elementary school Farmer's Market from 9AM to around 3PM, then other days you have to look for it on the road of North Shore at Off the Wall, somewhere between Pipeline Beach and Sunset Beach, the first thing you will notice is the big yellow truck with a Hawaiian and Brazilian flags on. Very good for a quick snack after spending time at the beaches of North Shore. read more

Acai Bowl is not as good as we thought. Honey or any topping (except for banana and granola) were extra cost and the cup is half filled for the large size bowl. The taste is not that great as well. Definitely can get a much better Acai Bowl in other store. read more

Friendly staff and delicious acai bowl. I was never a big fan of acai but after eating a bowl here, I fell in love. I stayed in the North Shore for a week and ate here at least 5 times. The pitaya bowl is also good and I love that they don't add sugar or unnecessary flavors. The food taste real and I'm so glad I found this place! read more

The Acai bowl is AMAZING! I came here three times during my visit to the north shore and I wish I could have gone back more! My favorite bowl was the Acai with peanut butter and strawberries. The bowl comes with acai, bananas, granola and honey and they have several toppings you can add such as flax seed, coconut, blueberries, peanut butter and strawberries. The pitaya bowl is great as well if you want something a little sweeter. The Coxhina with chicken is a delicious ball of fried, cheesy goodness that isn't too heavy or greasy. Reasonably priced as well. Bonus... They take debit cards! Highly highlh recommend!!!! read more

Food is really good. Açaí is ok they only give granola and banana compared to other places that also give you blueberries and strawberries. I'm pretty sure last year they offered all three fruits with honey. Three stars is for the hot food though the food isn't mind blowing. Açaí is closer to 1-2 stars since there are way better options on the north shore and I'm pretttyyyyy sure they are cheaper on the ingredients now. read more

When we arrived to speak to the hostess about our reservation for 6 at 7:45pm she was scrolling through personal photos on her phone in very clear view. After being seated our waitress greeted us she was kind and did the best she could to help satiate us by continuously asking if we wanted more sides, but like most people that come to these, we wanted meat - that wasn't necessarily in her control. A man came by with a free drink for my brother because he had made an extra by accident, and the waitress came by asking to remove it from the table or we would pay for it? Which was just a really strange and confusing interaction. At some point a man came around who I can only assume was the manager? He told us that we should take our time and that we'd surely be filled before leaving. We got served maybe 6 total times, the flavor was alright, the meat was tough, but honestly I'm not picky just hungry, but it was just the fact that the frequency for what we were paying for made no sense, almost 80$ a person (tip/tax included) and we got next to no meat and a salad bar that was at best wilted, the best thing we had was bananas. At some point our waitress did ask if we wanted any more meat, and we did, she went to the back to talk to the servers and they returned with 2 sausages for a table of 6. I have no idea if this was some kind of joke but writing it down now I have to laugh honestly, what a wild thing to do. I just hope that this review makes it to people before they eat here, you should go anywhere else if you're looking to get quality food and fill up -- I highly, highly recommend Shabuya for that! It's hot pot, located in the same mall and you get plenty of food! The last thing I'll say about this place before I offer suggestions since it's asking what could be improved, when the manager came around I let him know about how little we were given all he could say was he was sorry and it was too late for him to do anything, he was hoping we would leave saying "wow". We did not, no where close. Horrible experience dining here, please save your money and go anywhere else. For improvements, I think really it was the frequency the servers or gaucho need to come around more often, if 7:45pm is too close to closing time which is 9pm there should be some type of disclaimer when making a reservation warning guests that they will be served a much more limited menu, perhaps adjusting prices for that? There are lots of improvements to be made here, but I think that's bare minimum. When the manager said he wished we left thinking wow, I just wish we left feeling full. Don't waste your money on this place. I know I won't be again.

Prices weren't cheap but competitive for the region. The parking can be scarce and you may have to hang out in your car lying in wait for someone to leave. And people who come to the car are usually NOT in a rush to leave the spaces. The bathrooms were aight for being a beach bathroom. Not great but it will do. Wasn't too smelly or gross when I was there.
