Their doughnuts are really tasty, the place is really small & crammed & doesn't look very clean. This was my first time having cronuts and they were really good. It was pretty crowded here for a Saturday morning at 8 am. It's a happening place. I was sad that there were only glazed cronies none of the special ones that were pictured in other reviews. But I definitely will be back. They were delicious crunchy and flackey goodness. Yum. This is an old school, very traditional Donut Shop. They employees are super nice, fun and very helpful! They also have a great selection of flavors, my very favorite is their Cronut. I tried today with Strawberries and it was delicious. I think they should have many more locations like this one. Definitely going back here. read more

I really wanted to give this place a good review but I have to be honest, I was disappointed. I called a day ahead to order some cronuts for my coworkers and myself as well as a maple bacon donut to try and non of us were thrilled. The cronuts tasted like they had been sitting for hours and the bacon on the maple bar I believe was turkey bacon and had no crispness to it. Let's just say I'll be sticking to Fosters Donuts down the road since they've never let me down. The reason I didn't give them a one star review is because they were really nice. read more

I purchased 2 Cronuts, one glazed and one with chocolate cream inside. I was so excited to try them out. My boyfriend and I first had the glazed and it was good, Now comes the bad part, we cut into the chocolate filled one and there was a short hair inside, we were so disgusted we just threw it away. I should give one star due to the hair, but the staff was so nice and sweet I will give them 2 stars. If you don't care about the hair and still want to try out krispys, they had a large selection to chose from. I wish I could give more stars but a hair baked into my food is a deal breaker. read more

Don't know what went wrong but we came here after seeing the reviews and delicious pics. But don't let them fool you! Maybe because we didn't get there at the crack of darn, maybe because it was a weekday but they only had a few very regular, very plain unexciting donuts. No maple bacon, no cronuts, an even worse selection than our lousy donut shop down the street from our house. Disappointed, we walked out without buying. The woman was very nice though. read more

The pictures on Yelp only tell you part of the story. My wife visited the store this morning. I told her what I wanted. Upon arriving home, she quickly mentioned to me that they did not have either of my requests. What! Based upon the photos, I asked for a Chocolate Mousse Cronut and a Danish topped with Strawberries and whipped cream. My wife told me the selection was poor, at least compared to the amazing looking treats photographed by other Yelpers. I ended up eating a Chocolate glazed Cronut and an Apple Turnover. Both were tasty to say the least. Not the worst I ever had, and certainly not the best I ever had. read more

Maybe I came in at the wrong time or on a bad day, but my donut was definitely not a 5/5 like most of the other reviews are saying. I had a cronut, which was filled with cream. The customer service was okay, an old Asian guy kept coming in and speaking in Chinese to the cashier. He left with a dozen donuts without paying... But anyway, back to the cronut. It really just wasn't special. The layers were chewy, far from a croissant. The cream was so-so. I'll try something else next time, maybe. read more

Gave this place five (5) tries. Arrived each time around 9:30 or so. Out of those five visits I was able to score one lonely cronut. It was plane and they dipped it in some really thick chocolate frosting. They had alot of donuts. I can get a donut anywhere. Your claim to fame are the cronuts. At least have some. I guess you have to special order them made the day before. I don't recommend taking the chance if you have to go out of your way. read more

Decent cake and raised but nary a cronut in sight at 9:30am on a weekend. In fact this place had nothing but very basic donuts left, sugar, coconut, cake frosted, and holes left. Apparently you need to get thete at the crack of dawn and wait in line if you want to get anything other than an average basic donut. read more

Wanted to find a donut place in San Marcos, so I checked out the Yelp reviews and found Crispys Donuts. Found the little tiny donut shop in the corner shopping center of Grand Ave and Rancho Santa Fe drive. The girl working behind the counter was soooo nice and helpful! She explained ALL the questions I had about what all the donuts were, and was just the sweetest person!! The donuts: The cheese danish was the BEST I have ever had, it had cheese danish filling all through it and the dough was amazing. The CRONUTS are EVERYTHING they said they would be, lovely buttery flaky croissant sweet donut! YUMMO!! The little creme puffs can be filled with various fillings, I got the custard and they were AMAZING! I cant wait to go back!! read more

We were in town and had a doughnut jones. Yelp gave this as our #1 and closest choice so we gave it a try. Friendly service, reasonable pricing and much better than average doughnuts. The server even included a couple of extra pieces in our to go box. I went in there asking for glaze twists, and they said there was no more. I was fine with that and got something else instead. Once I was paying, A TRAY OF GLAZED TWISTS was freshly coming out, but she told me there wasn't anymore. I would have been fine with waiting a couple of minutes, but she clearly said that they don't have anymore. If I was to give zero stars, I would. Next time, let a customer know that they can wait a bit more for what YOU said you didn't have anymore of. read more

They are the lightest, freshest donuts around!! I went in late in the afternoon and was offered donuts from the morning for half price and they were awesome!! The sweet lady also threw in some fresh made for free!! I had 5 donuts and 4 holes for $2!!! They are so sweet and helpful there and they are always busy with people coming and going quickly.
