The best donuts in San Marcos. Wonderful people run the place and the doughnuts are always fresh. The smoothies are good too, I like the Thai iced tea. I used to frequent this shop when I worked in the same complex, but it's been a few years since I've been back. These guys have set the bar high for donuts in my book. Just nothing like them around here. Theyre danish is amazing with fresh fruit on top. They also have themed donuts abd pastries depending on the season. If i had a donut store I'd steal their master donut maker because he knows what hes doing when it comes to making donuts. After reading positive reviews, I came to get some of their famous Cronuts. Boy am I glad I did! They are fresh, perfectly glazed, flakey, and just so tasty! I also got a regular glazed, it was fresh and very good as well. Coffee was a bit weak to my taste since I like dark roast. But it was freshly brewed. Awesome, family-run business with lots of tasty treats. I usually get their doughnuts after the breakfast crowd, but they keep baking them throughout the early morning so they are still fresh. The doughnuts are just the right texture, not too dry like the chain stores. They have a large selection of doughnuts and pastries, but my favorites are the blueberry doughnut (very fruity and yummy, a bit crispy on the outside), the Boston cream (so chocolatey and creamy!) the chocolate chocolate doughnut, carrot cake, and the ham and cheese croissant (I love the jalapenos inside). Prices are much lower than the chains, and the quality is better. The coffee here is actually reasonably priced! The cream used in fillings tastes homemade instead of out of a can. Their newest offering is the hipster cronut, which they can top/fill with cream/custard/mousse and fresh fruit. The toppings and fillings are delicious, but personally I still prefer regular doughnuts, maybe because I'm a Luddite and maybe because I'm cheap. Also I heard from the owner that their day old doughnuts were used by a local Cajun restaurant to make award winning bread pudding. Unfortunately, that restaurant closed. The lady working here loves to please customers and frequently gives discounts if you buy more. I only wish that they were a little less busy in the morning. If you come after 9:30 am, you can avoid the crowd altogether, which is what I do. Altogether, a great place to satisfy your cravings for good doughnuts and coffee! read more

Wtf this place has the best cronuts ever. I was gonna get those with toppings but I guess they weren't ready in the morning, so I got the glazed one and omfg it was life-changing. Crispy and flaky on the outside, but the inside was what makes this remarkable: soooo smooth, soft, and melt-in-the mouth that I had to drop what I was doing and just savor it. My sister and I bought a dozen assortment and 4 of the cronuts, and while we were choosing which ones we wanted, she gave us each a little custard filled puff dusted with powdered sugar... for free. Yum! Then she "accidentally" made an extra Nutella cronut which she threw in for free, AND THEN ALSO threw in another small box of 6 more glazed and choco-glazed donuts for free just because!
