Overall, really pleased with how everything went with my move from CA to VA. Pros: - They actually do long distance moving. Multiple companies that I reached out who claimed to do long distance moving were like "not like that" once I requested a quote. - They stuck to the quote- no surprise hidden fees after the fact. - I was able to use a credit card with no extra fee which was great. When you're spending that much money, it's nice to at least be able to get the airline miles. - They sent 3 guys for my 700 sq ft apt to pack and move me. I had never been packed before and wasn't sure to expect. Everything went great. - They had custom labels with barcodes and your name for every box. None of the colored sticker nonsense. - Upon receipt in VA, they sent two guys, which initially made me nervous. But they were fit, efficient, and were able to trouble shoot effectively. Cons: - Cost. I paid about $2K more compared to my move from VA to CA in 2021 (not including packing costs). Guessing inflation and the war in Ukraine didn't help. - The delivery window clock starts from your first available to receive day. Example: my things were picked up on the 19th, but my first available to receive day was the 26th. So the 8-14 day window for delivery didn't start until the 26th. If I knew that, I would have started my lease earlier and perhaps had my things sooner. - I had a few strategically placed AirTags w my stuff so that I could keep track of my stuff and everything sat in a warehouse 5 miles away from me for an entire weekend and then I had to take a day off work for the move. I'm sure it couldn't be helped but it was really frustrating none the less. read more

We arranged a day that worked for us all, and the crew arrived early - cannot beat that! It took a few hours to pack up all little bros belongings (college clutter if you will), and I was very surprised with how fast they had everything wrapped, packed, loaded and ready to go. He had some fragile motorcycle parts that they even wrapped up in wooden crates to ensure nothing was damaged during the move! They took the guesswork out of the 5+ hour move, and they were beyond helpful and thorough along the way. Moving can be costly and labor-intensive, but not with Cross Country Long Distance Movers! Over the course of one year, I was in constant contact with cross country movers (Mia) as we were planning whether we needed to move back east due to work. They were nothing but courteous, professional, responsive and they are not brokered out to other companies so you get actual cross-country movers to move your belongings. They were actually much more affordable than some other companies. I am more than pleased with how my move went from San Diego, CA to Richmond, VA. From start to finish everything was handled exceptionally well. Setting the schedule (with Emma) for my household and auto moves was easy. All my questions were answered and the guaranteed price was great. I had to make a few changes (needed more boxes - I packed myself). The changes were addressed and I got an updated invoice quickly. The move out itself went smoothly. I had everything ready and the two movers did a great job. They handled my furniture carefully and logged everything. The move in at my new place in Richmond, VA also went great. The movers unloaded everything quickly and carefully. I was especially happy that my car got delivered a few days earlier than expected. I just have to write a review about these guys! My friend was moving from San Diego back to Los Angeles, and I went down to help her drive up some stuff. She told me she hired these movers that were starting out, which made me skeptical at first... but turned out these guys were absolutely great! Super professional - great communication, quick responses, gentle care, and SO efficient. They came and packed up everything else that weren't going in her little car. I was impressed with the packing... they made sure fragiles were properly wrapped for the long drive up. Probably one of the best moving companies I have ever worked with. As soon as they arrived I was already happy. They showed up 45 minutes early with there game faces on. I helped move my father across the county from San Diego to Chicago. These guys made my experience perfect. Very polite and professional at all times. I had movers scheduled for my move from SD to OC, they came to my house and said they "had to go get more boxes" well..... they never came back!!! However, this team did an awesome job with making me comfortable with how many proper tools they used to handle my belongings! This team has by far the best communication i have ever came across. I've been so stressed out with this move. I ended up being one of those people who needed movers, because of waiting so last minute. It was recommended by my sister that I use these guys. When she moved back here to LA from Philadelphia, they made sure she was able to have her car with her. I was excited because most places I called didn't do that. She also received it in perfect condition, and that usually never happens. When I first received my quote it was unbelievable how affordable it was. Especially me calling so last minute. Not to mention the communication really put me at ease. They continued to check on me, and made sure I was okay with how things were going. That really meant a lot to me. During the move everything ran according to schedule and everything went my way which was also a big plus. Heavy items weren't a problem for them and neither were fragile items. My aunt unfortunately got a job transfer to another state. Considering she has so much stress on her plate, she asked if I was able to find a mover for some of her household items. She did not want to put family into a position to help her move her stuff physically so the only thing she did was atleast have me find a company for her. I ended up looking all over the internet, ask my friends and neighbors until my best friends roommate recommend Cross Country Long Distance Movers. My aunt is a stickler about trusting people with her personal stuff so it was hard for her to come around to this idea of people moving her stuff for her. She was scared that they wouldn't respect her belongings even though they wrapped everything professionally and handled her stuff with care like it was their own items. She was more then happy with the cost since because the last thing she was worrying about was shopping around between different movers. she needed to move ASAP so she could start working in Arizona. She moved Southern California to Tucson. I first asked for a quote online but because I was in a hurry, I just called to ask them about what they can do to fix my situation. I never had any problems contacting them, and the best part was that they were on time. I usually have issues with people arriving late but there we actually a few minutes early which was actually very nice of them. Cross country Long distance movers literally delivered what I expected. It's nice because because of their good work, my aunt could actually trust them again with her belongings if she ever needs to move again, which we hope she doesn't get relocated cuz of work but if she does, atleast she knows who to roll with and not have me find a mover for her. read more
