Cross County is a one of my favorite locations to go to and walk around with my daughter. Outside mall. Fairly new renovations. Tons of colorful things to catch hr eye. Not terribly crowded when we make it up there, decent parking situation. There's a handful of stores that i frequent but the overwhelming majority of them, I personally have no interest in. Probably my only issue with Cross County and it's definitely not enough to stop me from taking the trip up there. Until next time. read more

I really love the renovations done to Cross County. The new stores like Shake Shack are a great addition. The place looks way better than years past. It also seems like it's much clearer and more space for walking around. The parking lots are huge but finding a spot on the weekends or shopping season can be difficult. The traffic going in and out has gotten better, however it can still be slow. read more

This was the first open-air mall in the country built in 1954...This place is pretty-much like your standard mall except with no roof over your head but yet a different experience than an outdoor strip mall. You are still surrounded by the buildings in this place when you walk through, so you are sure to see all the stores. This place has been like a second home to me growing up. The place was home to all the mall legends at one time or another...Gimballs, Fannie Farmer Candies, Sam Goodys and Walgreens. But time has not been kind to the Cross County Center. It needs a face-lift. Just in time, looks like it will indeed get an extensive renovation starting this year. read more

Cross County Shopping - Shopping Centers Near Me - Yonkers, New York

If you have an open mind, a warm coat and a desire for some decent sales, this is a fine place to shop. While it's much better in the summer (it's open-air) there is absolutely nothing wrong with using the Cross-County Shopping Center for its individual stores. First of all, it does need a face lift. AND...it's happening. Currently many of the stores are under renovation. I expect a new face to the mall within a year or so. Secondly, there are MANY good stores. New York & Company (if you're a NY&C girl like my roommate), Aldo, Florsheim and Macy's are just some of my favorite haunts. There is also a very cute coffee/snack shop up near the Macy's end of things. I, almost exclusively, do my shoe shopping at Cross-County. I always find excellent deals on terrific shoes (did I mention that I'm a bit of a shoe fanatic...Yeah...I'm a guy...and yeah...I own near 50 pairs of shoes...don't hate) Lastly, don't worry about "fitting in". There is a wide cross-section of culture at the Cross-County. That is what defines Yonkers as a city. We have a little bit of every portion of society, and that is evidenced by any visit to the CC. I never feel uncomfortable or out-of-place, nor should anyone who wants to stop by. While it's not the best shopping in the world, it is FAR from being bad. Give it a chance and keep these stores in business. BUT...wait until summer for your first visit. I guarantee a much more pleasant experience. read more

Popular shopping center in Westchester and has gone through major renovation in the last 10 years. Now it looks great compared to years ago. The shopping center is outdoors so on rainy days its not the best time to come here. There are a variety of stores like the Gap, Victorias secret, Zara, Armani Exchange, Guess, Garage, Bakers, Justice, Forever 21, H&M, Aldo, Macys, Aeropostale, Wetseal, Charolette Rousse, Call it Spring, Spencers, Gamestop, Old Navy, Bink fitness, finish line, footlocker, express, and more! There is just a huge variety in stores all ranging different prices. The downside is that on weekends it gets PACKED! The lines are out the door and its just crazy. The clothes in the store are all over the place on weekends because it gets so busy! So i recommend coming on the weekdays, Friday is even pushing it. But I like this shopping center because a few of the stores I love are here and close to each other. On a sunny day its so nice to come here and have some ice cream (there is an ice cream booth around). There is also play areas for children in the center of the mall and the center of the walkways. The play area is very cute and safe. There is available seating outside throughout the shopping center if you need to take a break. There is also various amounts of restaurants to eat from like boston market, longhorn steakhouse, olive garden, apple bees, fridays and more! There is available parking everywhere! There are huge lots at every corner. Parking should not be an issue here and its free. read more

I had to service some work at the Macy*s here and I was impressed by how well they took care of the place! Did you catch my sarcasm? Anyways, after finishing up the work, my boyfriend and I went right next to door to Applebees. Now, I'm a bit skeptic to go to any Applebees because the food quality has down graded. But I was happy with this one: friendly staff, well cooked food and they had my all time fav. dessert which the one in Times Square doesn't. The only thing I didn't like about this mall was the fact the 4/5 of the stores I wanted to go into weren't even open yet. And the layout of the mall is a little funky, but I guess they wanna keep the 50s layout. I hope to come back in a year or so when this place is completely renovated. read more

i hate to be the negative nancy here but excuse my language, how the hell is the starbucks at cross county open? the employees cannot make coffee for shit. 6 something dollars for a Venti iced mocha with so much ice, no mocha and it was lukewarm. yes, it's just coffee , but if you can mess that up , you shouldn't be a barista period. read more

For a quick things to do and a quick shopping just drive and you'll find what you need.. Bigger malls are just few miles away but this mall since it's upgrade has been nicer to stroll and hangout. They got a bigger and better Macys which has good a huge free parking.. Other branded stores are here as well with lots of sales. You'll always find something that you'd want here. A cleaner place, good landscape , more lights at night & more security. They got big restrooms too.. More better food chain as well which at times you don't have to go farther because you'll find it here. Grocery and movie theater are just around the area as well. This place has made several upgrades with some upscale stores and several food options i have reviewed. I think it is best to come during spring and summer. Shopping here is a must during the holidays. I think i have ventured into every store here. I particularly shop at Macy's, Adidas and Zara. This mall has certainly improved as of late. They have renovated the exteriors of many of the stores and have added new ones. It is a great mall when you need something quick to get for a gift, or just for yourself and not deal with large malls. The downfall is that it is an outdoor mall so if the weather is bad, it is sometimes a pain to get around the stores. read more

I love Macy's. Nothing but good experiences.today I was so disappointed I had the Monroe upholstered charcoal bed delivered & installed by the 3 stooges. The bed was damaged during installation but the best part was they kept trying to get me to accept it like that.Nah it's not happening. Cross County has some great stores for shopping! They have one of my all time favorite clothing stores, Zara. This is the only Zara location that I am aware of in Westchester. You can also find The Gap, Forever 21, H&M and Ulta to name a few other trendy and popular stores. If you're looking for a bite to eat there are a few options but the best would have to be Shake Shack! The only downside is it is an outdoor shopping center so it is not the best option for shopping on a rainy day and it can get very crowded. read more

So nice and clean! I stayed at the Hyatt and was able to walk around and shop so easily!

A lot of stores here are just a mess when you go inside, and the clothing is like idk, something else... like old and dirty. I rather drive a few more minutes and head to Ridgehill where I feel more comfortable, the security guards are everywhere, and it feels and looks cleaner than Cross County Mall. Even the movie theater are way different from each other and also the clientele. Something that I always do every time I can and go to, is to eat at Longhorn lol!. read more

This outdoor mall has lots of shops and restaurants. The Macy's is housed in the former Gimbels, which was built in 1954, and it has its original Otis escalators. There used to be a restaurant called Wilskers, and it served sandwiches and burgers. Amazing, place! I feel like I'm on vacation every time I come out here, the staff is great! I strongly recommend hanging out at Applbees and taking advantage of their Happy Hour which also has great deals on food as well! Hands down MACY'S is amazing over here, I came here one time to find make up for my girlfriend (future wife I hope) and the staff there was great! I'm not trying to advertise but the make-up line "Benefit" had the best staff out of everyone! even though every one else was great but "Benefit" was incredible! Parking here is great and if your just coming out here to visit the area, there's a movie theater right around there (walking distance)! (FREE PARKING) During the summer they have movie nights, they also have concerts! For July4th, they always have fireworks on the parking lot! so check it out, other than this mall has a lot of property and I see a lot of corporate companies taking advantage of this landmark. read more

This location used to be a shopping fav; however, this past experience wasn't even close. Poor customer service, wanted to make a purchase and couldn't due to lack of staff. This place used to give me nightmares as a kid before they renovated (anyone else remember that creepy upper level that was totally deserted apart from a crusty looking kids birthday party place? Yeah, horrifying for a six year old). I really like what they've done with it now, save for a few minorly annoying details. Like that 4-story parking garage by Macy's? Totally unnecessary. I guess they were anticipating more traffic than they actually get. And that Red Lobster in the middle of the street back by Sears makes driving around there a pain in the butt. A lot of the stores managed to survive the restoration, especially in the back of the mall, but they've added more stores to appeal to younger kids like Forever 21 and H&M. So with that said, the mall gets a little rowdy at times with screaming kids and obnoxious teenagers running rampant. Also, the displays in the stores tend to be a little sloppy and unkempt with clothes everywhere and nothing properly folded or in its right place. The food in the mall is a little underwhelming. All they really have a cheap chain restaurants and grab-and-go snack places like Cinnabon. So if you want a real meal, head elsewhere. I still come here if I want to kill some time or need to grab a last-minute gift, but it isn't really my scene anymore. read more

As a resident of the area and a mother of 5 I've been going to cross county for years because it's most convenient when having to travel with all my children. I just wanted to give 5 stars because this Saturday evening was the first time I have ever seen the women's restroom look so well maintained. I'm very cringey to using public restrooms due to smell and overall tidiness but I can honestly say that on Saturday I was in awe at how clean they were. Made me feel I was at home in my own bathroom. Good job to whomever is cleaning these facilities. Keep up the great work cross county. read more

Got here by accident was driving on the cross bx... saw it decide to stop. The mall is big it's all outside which is nice just not on the coldest day of march. They have tons of shops, some common some not so common. They have so many food place, restaurants. I wouldn't come here regularly but since I was in the area it was nice to stop by and visit. read more

This place has always been awesome. Grow up coming and going to cross county. Great store selections to choose from. Lots of fast food and small desert shops too stop in and chill at. The best part of cross county would have too be the theater, great/funny staff, excellent fresh theater foods and a non dirty theater experience. This locations customer service is atrocious. I called 4 times in a 15 minute span asking to be transferred to the childrens department. Every time I'm transferred they put me on hold for 10 minutes and never come back to the call. I just want to know if they have an articale of clothing before I make a 45 minute trip to the store and they made a simple task super frustrating for me. read more
