Wine was the best thing here, so if you are just going for drinks, it's a great place. Atmosphere outside was also really nice. Food was mediocre, and service was absolutely terrible. Had to ask for water multiple times, and was met with snarky attitude from the waitress. When she finally came with the check, it took her 20 minutes to come back and run them. Asked manager for our checks back and she was friendly and apologized for the wait since it really wasn't busy. Was disappointed about the service for sure! read more

At one point, CrossKeys was a premier lunch spot, and at one point, Crosskeys was even a place I would crave coming to even though I live in Northern Virginia--a place where we are in abundance of brunch restaurants. Today, it pains to me to say that CrossKeys has fallen quite a few knotches. However, let's start with the positives. The service, as always, was really good. Our server Jess was attentive, friendly, knew the menu, and was overall wonderful. The location stands for itself, and is gorgeous whether inside or outside. The mediocre comment I have is that the flies have always been an issue here, but it seems to be getting a little better at least indoors. For the unfortunate bad news--the Brie fondue is gone, I repeat, the most epic part of their menu, has been dropped. You'll see in the majority of the pictures for this place, the Brie fondue, and yet for some reason it has disappeared off the menu. So has the pork nacho fries. Instead, we ordered the baked Brie and the pork nachos. The pork nacho chips were extremely stale, chewy even, but the pork was decent and the portion size was huge. The baked Brie was really good, the portion size was sufficient, but for someone that came to CrossKeys deliberately for the Brie fondue, I'm leaving with a sense of grieving, displaced, nostalgic, uneasiness over this decision. Baked Brie isn't special, it isn't unique, and this makes you "just like other wineries". You can do better. CrossKeys. For the love of all things Shenandoah, bring back the Brie fondue. I have a 12 year old that I have to deal with moping all the way back to dc because of this decision. Ps. The fiore is still a premier brunch rose and I recommend everyone order it. read more

She was friendly, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and very helpful in every step of the planning process. She accommodated every request we had and was truly invested in making sure we had the best experience possible. On the day of the wedding, Ranae and the entire wait staff could not have been better. We had a very pleasant lunch here on our road trip to West Virginia. Five stars for the beautiful setting and friendly staff. Four stars for the perfectly decent sandwiches (crab cake and Reuben) that were reasonably priced (for a winery, $14 each). Two stars for the wine. We got the $15 mixed tasting. Joy white was a little sweet but otherwise bland. The Fiore was a rose, also a bit sickly sweet. They were sadly out of the cab franc so they subbed the merlot which was rather light bodied and forgettable. The petit verdot was fuller bodied and drinkable, but still nothing to write home about. I also tasted the viognen, which was better than the joy white. Despite my 3 star review, I would be open to returning for the ambiance, I just wouldn't waste my money on the tasting. I'd probably just get a glass of the viognen with my sandwich and enjoy the views. read more

My mom and I came here while visiting Massanutten nearby. We had a wonderful experience!For a tasting you just pop over to the tasting room and order a flight of wine for $15 (good price). Molly was our server and was such a delight! She was personable and fun. Also her Playlist playing through the restaurant was so the vibe. We ordered the sampler and it was a great charcuterie situation. Also I had a great Reuben. Got to sit outside by a fire and drink our wine watching the sun go down. This place is a hidden gem!! Less than 20 minutes away from Massanutten Resort and it will be a new stop at least once per visit. The place and the view is beautiful!! Crosskeys is a nice Vineyard with a lovely view a broad wine list and good menu. Personally, I like the Chardonnay and the port style wine, Tavern. I also like their Apple wine. As far as their bistro, The Brie is incredible. They change their menu often so a lot of what I have had isn't there anymore. Their food is good. You won't go wrong ordering from them. read more

I have been to this winery before with my husband and this time I came back for my cousin in laws bachelorette party! We rented out an area of the winery and they let us decorate the way we wanted. Wines are fantastic and we all had a great time! This time we got food and I got the pork panini with fries. The panini was delicious!! And the fries were seasoned well and crispy. Let's me start by saying I'm giving it 4 stars based off my 1st visit but my 2nd visit 3 days later is why i would give it 3 stars or less The 1st visit for lunch was great food was spot on including the kids pizza which my kids were excited to go back for. Our 2nd visit was for brunch and we ordered the charcuterie tray. As I was dishing it out I found that the grapes were moldy I told our waitress and all she did was say I'll get you more. No I'm sorry, no discussion. The kids pizza came out burnt this time. We didn't bother sending it back because it was 25 mins from order time to table. Had the afternoon free during a work trip and wanted a nice meal, though not particularly a winery. With it being the off season, another place I stopped at wasn't offering food and recommended I try this vineyard instead. And I'm glad I did. Hostesses were very friendly greeting a tourist and promptly got me a seat. My waitress was super helpful in picking out a light meal and dessert. Both were very delicious. Before the food arrived, I had visited the tasting room and grabbed a flight to sip on back at my outside seating. Sydney was great at not hovering, but checked on me several times throughout the meal. The (I'm assuming) manager also stopped by to inquire how I was doing. Both were super friendly throughout my dining experience. This impromptu visit turned out great. A stormy morning turned into a sunny afternoon and I was glad to be able to sit outside and enjoy the view and great tasting menu. We went here on a trip to Virginia and came for a wine tasting. I tried the tasting of Reds. I bought one bottle of Cabernet Franc and one of the joy red. I am not a wine connoisseur but I did enjoy both of these. You can also try Wines by the flight. We had the tasting out on the patio which worked out very well. We also stayed for dinner. I had the shrimp and grits which I enjoyed. The Grits were somewhat coarser than I remembered from my years of living down south. My family and I visited CrossKeys Vineyards today for brunch. We had a wonderful experience. We all ordered the breakfast platter. The bacon was absolutely delicious, as were the potatoes, which were seasoned with onions and herbs. Accompanying the delicious meal were breathtaking views of the mountains-we were fortunate enough with a sunny afternoon. This winery is amazing. We went for a family lunch and really enjoyed the food (especially their nachos which was big enough for two people) and their sidewinder fries. They also have AMAZING ranch (perfect consistency and tasted homemade). We also did two wine flights, their white wines & their fruit infused and really enjoyed trying a variety of their wines. As for the appearance of the winery, it was beautiful. I imagine sitting on their patio area at night would be very peaceful. We also highly recommend making a reservation. read more
