My recent visit to Crossroads Trading left much to be desired. I stopped by with the intent to both browse for secondhand finds and sell a few items from my wardrobe. While I didn't expect a luxury shopping experience, I did anticipate basic attentiveness from the staff. Unfortunately, customer service seemed like an afterthought. Upon entering, I immediately noticed the staff's lack of engagement. Rather than assisting customers, they appeared more interested in curating the store's next playlist. Overhead speakers played music as employees debated song choices, occasionally pausing to shuffle through options. This ongoing discussion seemed to take priority over everything else, including acknowledging those waiting to be helped. When I approached the buying counter to sell my items, I waited several minutes before anyone addressed me. Even then, the interaction felt rushed and indifferent. The employee processing my clothing barely made eye contact, spoke in a monotone voice, and offered no explanation for why certain pieces were accepted or rejected. A simple "Thanks for your patience" or even a moment of genuine engagement would have made a difference. Browsing the store proved equally frustrating. Other customers wandered aimlessly, clearly needing assistance, yet staff members remained distracted by their music selection. At one point, I had a question about an item behind the counter, but getting someone's attention felt like an inconvenience to them. When I finally did, the response was curt and unhelpful. The store itself offers a decent selection, and I appreciate the concept of sustainable fashion. However, the disinterest from staff made the experience far less enjoyable than it should have been. Customer service doesn't need to be over-the-top, but basic attentiveness, friendliness, and a willingness to help should be a given in any retail space. I wouldn't completely rule out visiting again, but I'd hope for a more professional and customer-focused environment next time. I've been a long-time customer at this thrift store, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing and left me feeling disrespected. It was my first time selling clothes here, and I brought in high-quality, gently used pieces from brands like Ralph Lauren Polo and Hugo Boss -- all clean, in very good condition. From the moment I walked in, I wasn't greeted or acknowledged. None of the female staff offered help, and I was immediately passed off to a male employee without explanation. It felt dismissive and borderline discriminatory. To make matters worse, the men's section is almost nonexistent -- it's tiny and clearly not a priority, which says a lot about how male customers are viewed here. What really shocked me was the condition of some of the clothing being sold. I saw items that were cracked, ripped, stained, and heavily worn -- yet my well-kept, brand-name pieces didn't even seem to be taken seriously. It felt unfair and frustrating. This store seriously needs to improve how it treats customers -- especially long-term ones -- and be more inclusive when it comes to men's clothing. It has been a while since I've been here and it had changed tremendously! I did not recognize any of the staff today when I came in with my friend to sell but everyone was really friendly. They were insanely busy with tons of folks also selling and I was thinking it was going to take forever since there was like ten people before us but it moved along pretty quickly considering there was someone a few people in front of me that had about 20 overflowing ikea bags. There was a blonde girl working the counter, don't remember her name but she was super sweet and kept thanking us for waiting and going back and forth helping people everywhere. I got tired watching her alone. I don't know how they do it. The selection of stuff here has dramatically improved since last time, tons and tons of designer stuff!!! Overall I was impressed that with all the people waiting to sell, and the crazy huge amount of stuff some these people brought, the wait wasn't too bad. I just wish these people would be a little more considerate when bringing stuff in. It really is kind of rude to bring so much when there is one or two people buying stuff and we have one small bag and are stuck waiting behind you. Crossroads Trading Co. Is absolutely amazing! I'm in overall shock of how great the customer service is and there ability to bring in such great items! I went in there in a day that was so busy that I thought I wouldn't make it out alive I came across so many great designer items that were more then half the price of full-retail, Amazing! I kept on finding myself looking at the wall and wanting almost every piece. I ask one of the employees to kindly help me take down almost all the wall pieces and she gladly said of course! I believe her name was Sarah,(I believed they call her Yorba, which I overheard) she took time to help me get all the items I wanted when she was so busy managing the back counter getting as much people in the fitting rooms and buying while the place was pack. She started a room for me which I thought was very kind and held the rest of my finds on the rack and I was back on my hunt. I felt that she deserved a gold star for being very helpful and I will definitely will be returning back here soon with friends! read more

What an amazing place! I love the atmosphere of this buy sell trade store! The staff was so friendly! The store was so neat and colored colorized. Sarah was so amazing,she has great customer service and she explained the buying process so well, i can't wait to sell there. She was very kind and super cute, her hair was amazing too short ombre on her looked great.She helped me into a fitting room and told me if i needed anything or had any questions just to ask for her. Other places would just put you in the fitting room and just say here, I love that she didn't do that! The other staff was great as well too, Kelly the store manager was awesome too she was super friendly and she knew what she was doing i loved that she was so outgoing and very professional at her job. There clothing selection is great as well there designer rack is the cherry on top! Definitely will be coming back here for the clothing and the staff. read more

So I recently joined Yelp and I have to say that I'm ecstatic that Crossroads will be my first 5 Star review!! I recently have been going to different thrift stores from LA to San Diego and Crossroads Irvine is by far unbeatable. I don't get why people don't appreciate what Crossroads offers, they have unbelievable capability to bring in amazing designer pieces for breathtaking prices. Their staff is amiable and embracing, Especially these red(Liz)and ombre(Sara??) hair ladies, so welcoming at the counter(sorry really into hair), store is well run and always well regulated! I recently stopped by Crossroads Trading with my two teens to look for some baggy jeans. We didn't have much luck finding their sizes, which was a bit of a bummer, but we still ended up finding some really good pieces. The store itself has a super chill vibe, and I liked how organized everything felt. They have a little bit of everything, so even if you don't find exactly what you came for, there's still a good chance you'll walk out with something you like. Overall, it was a nice shopping experience, and we'd definitely come back again to see what new items they have next time. read more

The customer service here is very lacking and borderline insulting. The clothing selection is poor in assortment and quality. It has been a steady decline for years and has finally hit rock bottom. I cannot recommend this store and the training gap for the staff is exceptionally large. read more

Staff is clueless. I sold a pair of jeans. Then I bought some clothing. She asked if I wanted cash or store credit. I said credit. She rings me up and doesn't apply the credit. Said she thought I wanted to use it for next time. Serious? read more
