I've only been here twice. Selection is not great and the employees are not very friendly.

This is the only Crossroads location I have been too and it is pretty nice. It reminds me a lot of dee lux clothing in Costa Mesa. I found a really neat bag here that was pretty reasonably priced and i feel like thats why this location is getting an extra star. They have a few pieces that are very cool and vintage but you have to keep your eyes peeled for them because this place is loaded with forever 21 and H&M stuff priced around 8 to 10 dollars. I kinda feel like thats a rip-off. The service here is pretty average too. The girls who work here seem more concerned of socializing, but hey maybe they just don't have a lot of work to do or maybe I caught them during a slow period. I just can't stand that whole hipster attitude when thrift shopping. But I will still be back to see what kind of clothing is being donated just because I love the hunt for unique fashion. read more

My best friend introduced me to Cross Roads last December. I love how they organize their wallets, belts, and bags. Also, they tend to organize clothes by type of clothing item and color. I found an amazing jacket and coat that I now use all the time! I would encourage any one in the area to stop in and see what they have some times you find gems!!! read more

I like the dress selection well enough, so I come to shop whenever I have a special occasion. However, this store would not be my regular. There seems to be one consistently courteous employee (looks like the manager), but the rest of the store is full of kids who act like snobs. I don't get it, but it keeps me away. read more

I went to this location with my mom on a sunny afternoon. We both ended up finding so many cute & trendy clothing items. My mom ended up discovering a beautiful Louis Vuitton purse that was not only at an affordable price but in PERFECT condition. That was a deal we could not miss! She also purchased this cute black Kate Spade New York purse. She wears both bags on a daily basis! I ended up purchasing some trendy tops & a beautiful dress. Crossroads is one of my favorite thrift stores in general. From what I've noticed the Irvine stores are some of the best. I appreciate this location most because they really do get quality stuff. It's up to the BUYERS at stores like this to search through everyone's stuff to find lovely items US consumers will love and buy. So with this being said, the buyers are great at this location. Danielle is adorable and always sweet, she picks all my cute stuff out of my piles because of course she has good taste. Definitely like to frequent here when I'm up in Irvine :) If you are ever wondering if Crossroads will take your clothes they even have a selling guide (on their website)! Which takes the mystery out of selling and probably makes the buyer's lives easier lol. read more

This rating is strictly on me buying from this store, I have never tried to sell here. I was pretty excited when I found this place since its in Irvine (right by my work) I knew it would have nice quality clothes, boy was I right! I bought three pairs of designer jeans (True Religion, 7 for all man kind and Hudson's) and a Express shirt with the tag still on all for under $50.00!! Came in here because I was curious - I'm a frequent shopper at Marshalls and saw this store in the plaza. Almost a year ago when it first opened, I found a handful of good things - specifically Wildfox, Minkpink, and a cashmere sweater from bloomingdales for only $15! However, now when I stop by, I can't seem to find anything good. I'm a huge Wildfox fanatic and the SA had told me that they get shipments from WF, so I was happy to think they would keep restocking WF every now and then (rather than having someones used top), but I don't think they get them anymore :( Prices are great if you find what you want, but it's really hit or miss. read more

They have a bunch of garbage for sale here. Maybe i'm just bitter because i brought in a bunch of clothes that they didn't want to buy from me? Even though I know all my stuff was almost new and way hipper than what they had in there. I dont know where they find these workers that picks out the stuff. read more

Salespeople are very nice but wow I just tried to sell my Moschino purse that I bought last year for $200+ and they wanted to give me $16! I can get more on Craigslist. I can't believe some of the things they do but I rummaged through the racks and I saw stained out dated clothes. Won't be selling here again. read more

This is a fun store to look through if you have a little time to kill. I have found some great bargains for almost new clothes. This is an upscale little thrift store. I do wish the clothes and shoes were arranged by size though. read more

Very friendly staff, but I knew when I walked in that this was not the place for my items. No higher end merchandise. I didn't recognize one label when I looked around. The store is definitely on the low end thrift store scale. No place for Donna Karan or Ralph Lauren...I had some very nice, perfect condition, classic items...no fashion sense needed here...but you can get some used Target or Costco clothing for a few bucks... read more

I love this place, I almost feel bad not knowing this place and kept going to Marshalls in the same shopping center. They have lightly worn and enough brand items in good conditon, every week things are different and I have scored great bargains here. They also accept return (within a week, and for a store credit), so you feel comfortable getthing things, they are smart though since when you take things back you end up getting new stuff...lol Their shoes/boots collection is awesome (although if you worry too much.. yes.. others have worn them). One time I got two brnad new shoes but soles came off right away, were not worth for repair $$.... I returned them with explanation but I think they put both right back to the shelf.... :0 The people working there are mostly young, cute, fashionable and sweet. Since most are used items it may not be for everybody but so far I'm liking this place a lot! read more

This place is amazing. I honestly don't know why people are saying they've had negative experiences here, because I've been in A LOT and have never once had a less than stellar experience. First of all, this place is usually busy. The staff is always busy doing something, but I have never entered this store without being greeted and even when I'm wandering, I've been checked in with by several employees to make sure I'm doing ok. The manager Kelly is always super friendly and helpful. She has great style and knows how to help me find a great outfit, or even just make me feel welcome. I think everyone just needs to remember that this is a busy store, and they have a lot to do in a day. When someone is in the middle of a buy, it's rude to the customer they're working with to leave in the middle of it and have someone else take over. I personally love the fact that I'm given their undivided attention when I come in, and that they really work to establish a relationship. That's what maintains client relationships. It's first come first serve. If someone is already helping a customer, it's only polite to wait until they're finished to address them with any questions or concerns. This store is great, and the best Crossroads location I've ever been to. read more

Kind of an odd selection, you definitely have to do some digging. Customer service is sub par as well. "Designer" items are priced strangely as well, but given the demographic of the area it's not surprising. read more

went to sell my clothes, got 15 bucks for 5 items that they took, didnt take my other 25 items because they werent something they would sell, which was very strange cause i saw t-shirts on the racks! and my clothes were waaay nicer. very nice place, the person was super nice to me as well, she did not tell me how much each piece was and just put tags on them, i didnt mind cause i didnt care how much she is gonna put on it, but i wish she was more thoughtful in that area, i did see other people saying, wait a minute, how much are u putting that on for? and when they would hear the price, they would change their mind of selling. anyway, interesting experience. read more

I've been shopping at Crossroads in Costa Mesa for two years, it's my mother and I's best kept secret. The atmosphere there is so upbeat and friendly, so when the manager Tamberlyn told me to check out the new one in Irvine i couldn't resist. I walked in.. no welcome. I browsed around i do have to admit they have a great selection of clothes i found some adorable green Kate Spade flats for 25 bucks. A Dooney and Bourke heart wallet for 10 dollars, and some flowy tops for under 10 dollars each. I was pleased with the selection and i am pretty hard to please i found higher end product here. However, once i got to the fitting room i greeted the sales girl with a smile and said hello, she did not smile back. she took my clothes from me quickly and opened the fitting room door and i thanked her, she said "Uh huh" and left. I found it odd she seemed bothered. As i was ready to pay i was excited that i found some good things, i also scored a brand new LRG top still with the store tags for my boyfriend. I knew he would love it. Another asian girl at the cash desk didn't greet me either as i walked up scanned my clothes and eyeballed me in a mean manner not saying a single word. I felt tension and it was an awkward experience. I wasn't phased however as i noticed they were quite young and immature and really had no idea as to what customer service was. As i got to my car i re checked the my items to make sure they weren't damaged. To my surprise my boyfriends top had a huge hole due to the sensor not being on the seam. I returned literally 4 minutes later. I asked to return it and explained the situation in a friendly and polite manner. She agreed, except for apparently they have a store credit only policy soo.. even though it was NOT my fault but their fault for making the hole in the top that i had purchased four minutes ago i received store credit and even though it wasn't a large purchase it was the principle of it and how ridiculous it was i wanted my money back. period. I tried to reason with them and became angry i asked to speak to the manager they said their manager wasn't in so i dropped the matter because it wasn't important enough to me. However I know it is possible to give me money back they have modern cash registers they could easily post void the sale and re ring everything up without the top for my boyfriend so.... i knew they were just being little brats and terrible sales girls. As i got into my car i read the back of the gift card and voila it said "Gift card is redeemable for cash if the value is under 10.00$ (which mine was, 8.00 to be exact) they didn't tell me this however when issuing me the gift card this is how i know this is a personal issue against me that they had for some reason. I was blown away by how stupid and cheap of a trick they had tried to pull on me. I work in customer service and i know it is about pleasing the customer and bending backwards to keep them coming back. The owner at this location should think of hiring new employees or re train them on proper customer service etiquette. This location is nothing but arrogant little bratty girls working behind the register without good customer service. I wont be back, i hate this location i can do without i will continue going to Costa Mesa where they know how to treat me well. They can keep their snotty attitude. read more

Let's be real with ourselves now. Clothing prices aren't what they were in let's say 1969. And praise the lord for this place, because I can look like a flower child going to Woodstock or a soft grunge angsty teen without having to break my McDonald's fund. This place has such a great selection of things. I found a Janis Joplin t-shirt for 7.50 in the racks and it was like a gift from heaven. It was like Janis herself telling me "I want you to have this." I only had to sacrifice one chicken mcnugget meal, but thats worth it. Food is temporary, clothes are forever. The store manager Kelly rang me up. She's got that "can I speak to your manager" haircut, ironic because she is the manager. But don't let that fool you. She is super hip for her age. She asked me if I knew who Janis Joplin was, and I was like girrrlllll her Woodstock performance was my spiritual revelation. So we got into a conversation about Woodstock. She talks about Woodstock like she was there herself!! Maybe she was, I don't know. But she described the Star Spangled Banner performance in such vivid detail that my jaws dropped to the floor. I've only seen the youtube video of it but her description was more real than anything. Definitely coming back to see my fellow soul sister. read more

judging by my wardrobe i love this place...not just this one...but all Crossroads. you can buy and sell clothes. if you plan on selling you can actually drop clothes off (as it takes them sometime to price it out) and come back the next day or have them call you with how much you will be getting or if they could even buy any of your hip or unhip clothes. if you like places with hip affordable gear then this is the place for you, i also reccomend Buffalo Exchange as they are along the same lines of awesome as Crossroads, This Crossroads just opened up and is conveniently located next to the Rite-Aid and Albertsons on the corner of Alton and Culver. read more

I love shopping at this place. Most of my dresses, which are my favorite article of clothing, are from here and I get a lot of wear out of. I am writing this review more on the selling aspect. I used to sell here a lot (almost every two weeks). I think the two girls who took most of my clothes were the previous manager and another sales associate, but I think they left because I don't see them anymore. I usually come here with clothes with tags and decent brands of in good condition clothes (mostly dresses) such as Express, Asos, BCBG, and Limited (to name a few). I usually bring "in season" items. But for some reason, and I think we are all talking about the same girl, I am never able to sell one single item when I get her. And I've had her multipleee times. But whenever I see another associate, I can sell at least one item, even if I bring just six items. In a bag of let's say 20 items, this girl will not take any. I'm not disappointed or upset that she doesn't take anything because it is mainly subjective whether they take the item or not. What she didn't take I either gave to the Crossroads in Costa Mesa and they take it, Plato's closet on Bristol, or Buffalo Exchange in The Lab, but I am writing this review to warn any potential sellers to this particular location that you may run into the same issue. If you have a bag of 10-15 items or more, I would probably try another of the above-mentioned places first before this place, because I find that certain associates who currently work here can be veryyyy selective. read more

Absolutely the worst place ever to consider doing any trading. Don't even waste your time. It will not be worth your time and they under value your items by a lot. Try Plato's Closet in the OC. They are better. This place was a waste of my time. I cleaned out my closet which consisted of a good mix of cute and trendy clothes, accessories, shoes, and purses all in great condition. The girl at the counter was nice but they have no system in place of how they determine what they take. She quickly looked through my things and said no to everything literally, with the exception of 2 items. A pair of cute heels and a leather purse. They were only going to give me $4 for the purse. Really? And $7 for the designer shoes. Then after they quoted me on the shoes they changed their mind and said no because of the condition after a 3rd look. Are you kidding me? And the girl said well let me have my manager look and the manager was no help at all. This place is lame because they tell you that they want trendy things that will appeal to their shopper and they want high end designers with the price tags still on. Seriously?? Who the hell would take a high end designer bag (still new or fairly new) in there just to be low balled? It's crazy to me. I literally walked right back out with all of my things. Then they tell you that they are looking for vintage type stuff. But yet they won't take stuff from Forever 21 or Charloutte Russe in great condition? Seriously? Please safe your time. And don't even try it if you have no-brand name stuff. They won't even think twice about it. They want higher end designers only for their fake customers. Try Plato's Closet in Costa Mesa instead. They're not as boochey there either. I will not recommend Crossroads to anyone. In fact, if they were to close down I'd celebrate that. read more

I recently went to trade in my clothes and I had multiple name branded items that were barely used. They didn't take one item. I even had new Gucci shorts and its summer. They say they do seasonal items but that didn't take anything. This wouldn't be my first choice to sell your clothes. This place doesn't make much sense to me . read more

I live very close to this store and have been a long time costumer since they opened shop and I must say they have improved immensely since then! First, in the past, I felt their prices were a bit on the high side and their items were a bit too mature for my style. Now, I consistently find amazing deals on designer items and the clothes and shoes are more geared towards my generation. On top of that, their staff are so sweet and nice. I have sold numerous times to them and each time the sales associates were cheerful and even made fun small talk while they looked through my items. On top of that I feel I get the best consignment(selling) prices here than any other stores( e.g. Buffalo exchange, platos closet). I just took my mom here today and she was so excited to find a brand new $200 leather bag for under $30! Even my friend from San Diego is envious that I live so close to this consignment store, being that there are no crossroads in SD. Overall a great store and I will continue to shop here as well as bring in clothes to sell! Kudos crossroads for your awesome contributions to my closet :) and my wallet hehe! read more

I came here to sell some of my clothes. I don't know if the previous negative reviews made them aware to improve their customer service, but I had a pleasant experience when I went. I was greeted by the cashier and the buyer was friendly. I came in the morning so I didn't have any wait, which can be a problem at resale stores. Although I was hoping I would get a little more for the items they took, it's better than nothing. read more

Like most stores of this kind, it's really hit or miss. I've come across some amazing finds (a Madewell bomber and some great Free People items under $20!) but I've also found multiple items with holes, and Forever21 pieces for basically retail price. One issue is that I usually spend about 5-10 minutes in the store and have an arm full of items before someone acknowledges me. Nothing spectacular but worth checking out. I'm especially happy that they seem to always have a decent amount of xtra small/00/0 sizes which is really tough to find. read more

I really like this store. Everyone that works here is super friendly and the store is organized and clean. I will never go to this location or do business with this company ever again! I went into this location on Tuesday, March 4, 2015, and the customer service that I received was below Horrible. The manager on duty was not friendly at all. She was very fast, rude, and short in communicating with me; almost like she did not want to be bothered with me or my business. I went in January, and the head store manger (awesome lady) told me to come back in the spring; the beginning of March. She advised me at that time, that my garments were in great condition and she would be able to sell them in the spring. Last night, the manager on duty did not check any of the clothes that I brought in, another associate did. She was very quick to tell me what she couldn't sell... but hadn't looked at any of the garments herself?? This rude manager told me that she would not be able to take the clothes... these were the same garments the Head manager told me to bring back. I guess it depends on which associate is working and their attitude at the time. Do not waste your time going there. Go somewhere else. Spread the word. read more

I'm writing about my experience as a seller. The clerk (slender female, African-American) was not interested in my clothes and didn't feign any interest. She hardly looked at my shoes, giving them a passing look, and didn't like any of my clothing. I understand if she doesn't appreciate my style or labels, but she was a bit short and rude about it. I don't expect her to be apologetic, but she was cold. I suggest selling at another place where they are less snooty about it. read more

I am just now getting into thrift shopping so I cannot say I've been to a ton of thrift stores, however, I wasn't too excited about this one. The prices were really nice on some items, but kind of unreasonable on others. The majority of the items are boring and the set up of the store is very uninviting. It just made me want to sleep.The service there is slightly above average. I wasn't impressed. May try it again in hopes of finding something cool and/or having a better experience. read more
