If Lululemon is featured as the highlight at the entrance, that says it all. The process was also extremely inefficient. The customer ahead of me waited over an hour only to be offered a laughable payout. If you're looking to sell real designer fashion, skip this place. Absolutely obsessed with my experience at Crossroads. I brought in 15 items to sell and left with $140 in store credit. The process was quick, easy, and the staff was super helpful and professional. While I waited, I browsed the store and found some absolute gems. The prices were great, and even the more expensive pieces were totally FAIR because the quality was amazing. Everything was clean, stylish, and felt thoughtfully selected. P.S. UMMMM the playlist? Fire!!!! ..... I caught myself singing along to Olivia Rodrigo judgement free while shopping. This place has so much potential, but I always walk out feeling disappointed. If you come in purely to shop, you can find really nice products for a fair price. Lots of great brands like Nike, Patagonia, etc. for reasonable prices. I've even bought things that still had the original price tag on it. But if you come here to sell, I think this place is a bit of a waste of time. The selection process they have to determine whether or not they want your items is really confusing. I have brought in the exact same thing on different occasions and one time they'll buy it and one time they won't. I have brought in multiple large bags of like new clothes only for them to hand pick one or two small things and offer a measly few bucks after waiting over an hour. I didn't have to line up after 1:15 pm Monday. Excellent customer service. Excellent management of the store. They seemed like very happy employees. Huge public parking lot. Didn't feel ghetto compared to the one down the street from Westfield ValleyFair Shopping Mall. Great location. Everything inside the store on the racks looked super clean, colorful, stylish, and beautiful. I cannot say the same for other locations and other stores. They had more than 4 people working inside. That's plenty for these old vintage consignment stores. Love this place for buying & selling used to new clothes and other fashion accessories. As I looked around, I saw a Coach purse for $24. Very organized by size and type. Super clean pieces and their items are pretty much like new! It's nothing like a Goodwill, Savers, or other thrift stores where things can be messy or look very used. This is real business. Well maintained with excellent attention to details. I saw several items that I absolutely loved. This is really not bad compared to what I saw at other stores. Lots of good brand named stuff: French Connection, H&M, Anthropologie, Dooney and Bourke, etc. Sweaters feel & look great too! Got some cute stuff in great condition that you don't need? Look no further. They accept great pieces. Most importantly, it's beautiful, in season, or in style. Try to bring items that are in the upcoming season. I would rate this place a higher end consignment store since they carry great brand names and all are beautiful items. Note, their clothing on the racks are currently selling at around $15-$22 each. More than a decade ago, you would be able to find $6-$10 each. Recession is looming. Overall, this is still a great place with higher end items selling for cheap. Would I revisit and bring in more old bags, clothes, shoes, and more to sell to them? Absolutely yes! They can have my stuff for $2-$15 each if they like. Win win situation. I went in to sell and there was one person on the waitlist before me with 3 bags of clothes. I then sat there for an hour and there was no progress with 2 people doing the buying. The past 5 times I've been to this Crossroads now they've rejected every piece of clothing I brought, mind you with relevant fashionable brands. Don't get me wrong - I love Crossroads and have been going to their San Carlos location since I was a teenager (forever ago). However, I went to the Blossom Hill location recently to sell some clothing. I had a couple of small bags, one of which contained a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses. These sunglasses retail for about $350, so when the girl buying my clothes said she had taken 4 items and could give me $26 in cash or $47 in store credit, I automatically assumed that she wasn't interested in them. Once I got home and went through the bags, I realized that she had taken them! I went back the next morning and she (Linda) was there. I explained that the glasses were expensive and I was expecting a whole lot more than the $10 she gave me for them. She tried to tell me they were really damaged and chipped, which was not the case (see photo). There was one small nick on the right lens, but that was it. She pulled them out of the glass case, and promptly removed the price tag before I could look at it. I asked to see the tag, at which point she told me she priced them at $38 due to the "damage". She was nice enough about the whole situation, but I felt totally ripped off. I ended up paying her $11 to get the glasses back, at which point I left. I'm glad this happened at the Blossom Hill location and not at my regular spot on San Carlos, since it created a lot of negativity around a store that I otherwise love. Checking in and responded back within 15 minutes. First time here and I understood the girl at the counter tell me they're looking for spring clothing and Nordstrom type of brands. I had brands ranging from Shein, H&M to Uniqlo. Brought in about 6 black bags. Told her we will be back so I went next door to grab a bit to eat but within 10 minutes of dropping them off she said she went through all the bags and none of them fit their store. Selling protocol has changed during COVID-19 to abide with social distancing requirements. 1) You must make an appointment to sell (I called in at noon and was able to come in within a few hours). 2) You can bring up to 50 items -- must be washed (in bags or bins, no hangers). 3) They're only accepting Spring/Summer items at this time. I brought in nearly 50 items (shoes and clothes in sizes XS-M) and the sales person took 9: 1-2) 2 XS Lululemon bra tops (older style from c. 2013, gently worn) 3) Lululemon leggings (older style from c. 2014, gently worn) 4) Adidas workout top, gently worn 5-6) 2 Brandy Melville t-shirt dress 7) Free People dress, gently worn 8) Urban outfitters dress, gently worn 9) Ankle-strap sandals, gently worn I had the option of receiving $44 in cash (30% of the resale price of the items) or $75 in store credit (50% resale price). You won't make too much money but considering they're a local shop (versus the stress of shipping items when selling online) and the fact that I just really wanted to get rid of some clothes I don't vibe with anymore, I'd say it's worth trying to sell here. Pro-Tip: I'd brought the items leftover from selling at the West San Carlos Crossroads, so what they buy really depends on the location + salesperson. I'd suggest trying to sell at both locations if you have time! Crossroads remains one of the best places for thrifting, I prefer this location to the Stevens Creek one because the people working here are more friendly and less pretentious than the other location. They usually have a good selection for men and women. This is also one of the better smelling thrift shops around, I'm not sure what is going on with Black and Brown and don't get me started with Savers. Don't waste your time going there. I brought some clothes and dresses to see if they want to buy them. Went to front desk, the woman was busy with other person that was selling their stuff too, We think maybe not in the season for these clothes and the dress, we plan to leave, the woman saw us and told us to wait and will check our stuff. We waited like 25 mins then we come to her. She saw our clothes and dress then suddenly said "Nope!" For like just one minute. We felt that she took advantage of our times. A 3% surcharge? I understand living expenses are high because I live here to and I know that everything from rent to essentials is at an all time high. I don't understand why business need to add a surcharge at the register because to me it seems like the business is trying to sneak in $1-3 per transaction. It wasn't until I looked at my receipt that I saw the surcharge instead of being TOLD BEFORE the transaction (no I didn't notice the small poster about the surcharge to the right of the register ). I know that other places do this like in San Francisco but I don't support it. At a time where everything is at an all time high prices should be TRANSPARENT and clear on the price tag. I've been here a few times to sell/consign stuff. Very easy process you sign in and wait until they text/call your name. I came in today and yay didn't have to wait long. The gals working were pleasant & efficient . I ended up selling them a few items and consigning some of my Michael Kors/Coach purses. I think prices were very fair and they took their time figuring out what everything is worth. Sure, I could have made 10% maybe 20% more haggling and wasting time with people off Craigslist but not worth it. They had some cute stuff in there but since I'm on a purse ban I walked away without any purchases.FYI they are picky (as they should be) on what they sell. My issue is with the employee that I spoke with regarding the purchase of clothing a few days ago. I don't know if that was her authentic voice or if she just sounded like a snob on purpose. When I inquired about the purchase of clothing, she had a very condescending voice and told me they only buy high-end clothes. She handed me a card with the list of the designer's clothing that they accept. I decided that I'd rather donate my clothes than to do business with Crossroads. When comparing this location to the one in San Jose, I found a lot more options for women's clothing at my size. The brands they also accepted here felt higher quality and more long lasting. A lot of the women's clothing came from brands such as Zara, French Connection, and more. While the one in San Jose had some Shein, Hot Topic, and Forever 21 clothing brands for women. Even though I don't mind purchasing secondhand clothing from Forever 21, it was clear to me that it was more of their recent clothing. Therefore, the quality wasn't as good and felt cheap. It felt like a struggle to find something for me there as opposed to the Crossroads located here. I think it was also easier for me to find higher quality clothing because they do not accept brands such as Forever 21, Shein, Target, or H&M. While the San Jose location did. The prices between the two locations also vary. I felt like the prices offered at the San Jose location were a lot cheaper, but I also think you get the quality you paid for. For instance, the prices for their bags were cheaper and ranged from $9.99-$24.99. They had a lot of coach, Uniqlo, H&M, and Kipling bags as opposed to the Crossroads here. The Crossroads here had bags that ranged from $24.99-$50. But they offered bags such as Kate Spade, Marc Jacobs, Coach, and more. Everything they offered was still a lot cheaper than the full retail price and what resellers on depop and poshmark sell them for. I ended up buying three tops, open toed platform Doc Martins, and a light pink Marc Jacobs bag from here. When comparing the prices online for the Marc Jacobs bag, only one person was reselling it for $175 on Poshmark while Crossraods was selling it for only $47.50. Their bag prices are also cheaper than the Plato's location in San Jose. Over there, they tend to sell their high branded bags for up to $55. The staff were also kind and more attentive than the one in San Jose. I felt more welcomed here and not as brushed off when asking questions. My partner also had a pleasant shopping experience here and claims that this is officially one of his top three spots for thrifting. Overall, I would give this place 4/5 stars as most pricing felt fair and the customer service was great. An important piece of advice I would give is to always search up the clothing you're going to purchase to see if it's a good deal or not. For example, I saw a Plastic Girl graphic crop top that I liked and was debating on buying. It wasn't my size, but I thought I could always tie it from the back to have a snug fit. However, it costed around $25 and searching it up online it was still on sale from the original website for $30. I'm aware that it would still cost more than $30 due to shipping and tax, but it felt kinda dumb to purchase the top in that moment. Why purchase a used shirt that's still so close to the price of a new one that would be my exact size? I'm glad I looked it up or else I would've regretted my purchase. This place sells overpriced used clothing that could be found at Forever 21, Target, and other inexpensive clothing stores. Most used dresses cost $33.00. I shop everywhere, including boutiques and H&M, so I'm familiar with prices and styles of clothing including some expensive brands like Johnny Was. Most of the sizes in women's clothing is in a size XS to small at this location. I found a few mediums & large sized clothing, but nothing I just had to have. They also sell shoes, sunglasses, purses, scarves, socks, gloves, and men's clothing here too. Trust me when I say that you might find sumilar clothing for less money at a thrift shop. You'll definitely find similar styles for less at forever 21. I'm sure that a lot of the clothing there were bought at that store originally. read more

I will start out by saying that I've been to this location multiple times before, and this isn't a snap judgment but rather my observations after those visits. The store is clean and well organized, but that's all I'm going to say in the purely positive. They have a list of "red flag brands" but reject clothing that's not on that list or not designer. Normal enough. If I didn't see items from those exact brands hanging on their trend racks, the biggest offender being H&M. Sold for about a dollar off retail price at that. In addition, the staff on all occasions I've gone were passive-aggressive at best and condescending at worst. All times I've gone were after work or the gym, and I wear clothes that don't look like they would be sold there (solid color T-shirt and running shorts without identifiable brand logo). I wear deodorant and ahower after gymming, so I dont smell either. Not fast fashion by any means, but I don't look like I walked out of a fashion TikTok. The fitting room people made me feel infantilized with how they spoke to me like I'd never bought something in a store with a fitting room before, and the people in front looked at me up and down more than once as if I was there to steal. Watched me through the store when I didn't immediately take something off the rack and go to the register. The one time I went to sell, I had a few items, which did not end up being taken. That's fine. The part that convinced me to write this review was the way the person evaluating the sale acted towards me and my items. First, it took about 10 seconds of looking through my bag to call me back and tell me they wouldn't accept anything. Didn't even take the clothes fully out of the bag to inspect the condition or anything. Then it was the closed mouth smile and head nodding as well as the "okay?" at the end of the sentences and slipping the style card into my bag as if I didn't look on the website first. I guess they only wanted those brands on the card even if I'd seen other brands on the racks so clearly they have to accept other names. To sum it up, this location created an unwelcoming shopping experience on multiple occasions as well as made subconscious assumptions and judgments about my character that I did not appreciate. I will not be returning and am writing this review to let all of you know. If you don't dress like them, look like them, have a designer piece to sell, or shop enough to have multiple like-new items, they don't want you and are bad at hiding it. read more

COVID review: I've been coming to Crossroads in San Jose for a few years and love their store! The concept is amazing and as somebody who shops and then donates a lot of clothes, it was perfect. I take all my gently worn clothes over there and chose to trade it for credit. You get more money back in credit than cash which is fine for me because I use the credit when I'm broke (don't judge) but still want to shop a bit! They have awesome clothes and accessories for men as well. They have a wide arrangement of clothes from H&M to free people to Louis Vuitton on consignment and all for great prices! Don't expect goodwill prices but definitely A LOT cheaper than actually going to Zara. A plus side is sometimes you find treasures from brands you didn't know existed. Now since covid... You have to make an appointment ahead of time to sell. It's honestly even better than before because sometimes there would be a line of 4 people selling/waiting when you'd get there. This cuts that back by a lot. Crossroads has an app that they used before but I believe it's been useless since Covid and you have to call to make the selling appointment. They have hand sanitizer at the front door and ask you to sanitize before coming in which is pretty cool because you know everybody is walking in with sanitized hands at least! The checkout line is spaced 6 ft apart from others. You will occasionally bump into somebody while shopping but they have mask on and it's inevitable. They seem pretty strict on their rules. read more

In need of something above your budget and a bit cheaper than retail price for middle and upper middle class brands like (h&m, free people, madewell, Lilly Pulitzer, etc) then come here. This store is basically Poshmark version in terms of pricing and minus the shipping fee. I'm not sure this is a good or bad thing. If you think of purchasing stuff on Poshmark, perhaps check out this store first! They have a good jeans selection. I was on a thrifting binge on my last visit to the Bay Area. I am a remote worker and come up here to visit the office. I found a ton of items here. That's not normally the case for Crossroads so here was a big win. I got a pair of Anthropologie chinos that I love to wear, some nice Oak & Fort sweaters and a great varsity looking top that I love. The prices were reasonable and thank goodness for fitting rooms. The staff were fine. I spent around $180 so I got some good stuff. I'm middle age and sometimes at these types of stores (here, Buffalo) the items are too crop and too young for my tastes. This day was a great one and I picked up some great pieces that were not too young looking I don't want old lady clothes either lol). read more

This is a terrible Crossroads location for selling compared to the other locations I've visited, especially compared to the West San Carlos St location, which is a far superior Crossroads store to sell at in San Jose. Came in on two separate occasions on different days & times with different numbers of bags & they did not accept clothes from either of those times. One time at 6 pm (half an hour til their buying hours stopped) with 4 bags, the second time with only 1 large bag at 2 pm. Also the time it took for the lady to check the items each time was suspect, took the first one only 10 minutes to go thru 4 bags, while at other Crossroads locations (West San Carlos St & the Santa Cruz location), and other stores like Plato's Closet, they took a good half hour to go thru the same number of bags, making me think she never actually bothered going thru the whole thing. However, I thought OK, it was near closing (although I had called earlier in the day & asked if it was okay if I came in at 6 bc that was the earliest I could get there that day (I live an hour away), and they said it was totally fine), maybe she was tired from the day's sorting, I can't hold it against her. So I went again a few weeks later in the afternoon with only one bag of my best items, gave my bag to the lady when my time was up, she said it would be about 10 minutes for her to sort, then she called me back after 3 MINUTES. How can anyone sort a whole bag of clothes in 3 minutes, even I didn't work that fast trimming down my bag of clothes to make one bag?? As I was walking back, I saw her shoving all the clothes back into the bag at once, as if she had dumped the whole bag on the counter & dug thru randomly, when at other locations I've seen the employees actually take the clothes out one piece at a time, and neatly fold them back into the bag. Again, she clearly never actually sorted the items individually, then told me I had older brands & styles they didn't want (i had several Forever 21, a Calvin Klein, a Zara, & new boutique items, etc, but whatever). I don't know whether the employees are taught a different sorting style here & thats why they are so picky accepting items, bc there were items in the first batch that this location didn't accept that the other Crossroads in San Jose (West San Carlos St, I highly recommend them over this place!!) did end up accepting. it's not the styles or brands that's the problem, it's the lazy sorting style & extreme pickiness. I brought in two giant garbage bags worth of designer jeans, dresses, and blouses. If I sold my clothes on eBay or craigslist, I would have gotten at least 10 times as much as I would be getting here, but honestly I'm just looking to make a quick buck without much work. My brand new Juicy bag was sold for $20, so I got $10 store credit for it. My seven jeans were sold for $18, so I got $9 store credit for them. Tip: don't bring in your old flare jeans. Erika was my rep, when she was done she explained that even though some of my items were nice and the right brands, they were too business/formal for what they are looking for (they don't take workwear or formalwear).
