WOW! Tried this place on a whim on the way back to our car. So glad we did! Their cupcakes are better than my two most favorite cupcake shops/bakeries! I had the red velvet. Creamy cream cheese icing and a delicious moist cake underneath. My wife got the smores cupcake with marshmallow covered in chocolate. My daughter got the cookie dough cupcake. It had a chocolate chip cookie on top and bits of cookie dough in the icing. The great part is that the cake under the icing is outstanding. Some places have great icing and neglect the cake part. We stopped in here during the townwide event they had. We got a couple of the tiny cupcakes to try them out. The cupcakes are very good and delicious a lot of sugar which is to be expected. I am a huge cupcake fan! Since having to go gluten free there has been a cupcake shaped hole in my heart. One day while walking through town I thought I would just pop in to Crowley's and see if they ever made gluten free cupcakes, and much to my surprise they did!! These have got to be the best gluten free cupcakes I have ever had. They are almost indistinguishable from their gluten-filled cousins. I love cupcakes so naturally I had to check out this shop while in town. The shop itself is very spacious . There were also a variety of flavors. I got the red velvet (to compare), snicker-doodle , and mint chocolate chip. They also offer minis which is great for testing out different flavors . As for the cake itself- it was a little dry but the dense icing made up for it . Four stars for being cheaper than most cupcake places and offering a variety of flavors . Love love love this place. I went in an hour before closing and their cupcake case was still full and had such a selection. I was a little nervous as sometimes going into a bakery that has a full case before close means the cupcakes are stale or they aren't very good and cupcake fiends like me don't go there. I was wrong on both. The cupcakes were moist, flavorful and beautiful. They hit all three of the things I look for in a good cupcake. Prices were competitive. I loveeeee Crowley Cupcakes. I have tried many cupcake places that have never ignited my love for them like Crowley Cupcakes. The cake is flavorful, as is the frosting- many different types of cupcakes are offered. Personal favorites are the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough cupcake and the Carrot Cupcake. Cookies are nice and soft, but selection is limited. I only wish they were opened on Sundays, as sometimes my craving for a Crowley Cupcakes kicks in on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Shop is cute and clean and staff are always super friendly. Good thing to keep in mind is that you can order cake versions of the cupcakes you enjoy! I ordered my daughters birthday cake from here and it was a hit! Grown ups and children loved it. Each layer was fresh, not stale and the frosting was nice and smooth! Frosting is a bit too sweet for my taste (I prefer whipped cream based than buttercream but won't hold that against them) came in around 4pm on a Saturday and got the following: Reg. My husband and I just bought a half dozen of the mini cupcakes. On the walk home he said "that's pretty pricey for 6 mini cupcakes" we got home, he ate the chocolate chip cupcake and immediately said "I take it back! It's so worth it! Solid bakery. They don't always have much on display, but what they do have is very tasty. Their deserts sell out pretty fast from the local school kids and families. Their cupcakes are really solid and they are very innovative and creative with flavor combinations. Their sprinkle cookie is the best I've ever had so give that a try! I've been coming here for years on end and as somebody who is very fond of sweet treats i can say that they truly make the best cupcakes i have ever eaten. The shop is kept very nice and has free samples of their different desserts. The cupcake flavors vary based on season yet there are quite a few staples like the snickerdoodle cupcake and the m&m one(personally my favorite). The service is fast and polite. I usually get a dozen minis in order to get all of the different flavors and i have never once been let down. They're slightly expensive but it is worth it. I got my birthday cupcakes from Crowleys in July 2017 and went back to get my daughters birthday cupcakes from here! For my birthday I had the mini cupcakes that were available in there regular bakery inventory. No special order. The cupcakes were really good, so good I ordered a special order for my daughters 8th birthday party on September 3, 2017. Not mini cupcakes regular size cupcakes. The cupcakes were good again however, they were very top heavy with icing. ( I know who does not want more icing?) But these were kids and it was much for there 7 and 8 year old mouths. But, the thing that really got me was when I ordered the cupcakes, I was quoted one price and when I picked them up they were $25.00 more. This was not cool. The owner, took no responsibility for the pice I was quoted and insisted on the up charge. The price gouge was not a good feeling and if we paid for the extra icing, please keep it next time. Not sure that I would visit them again, but there cupcakes are good. Just need consistent pricing on special orders. read more

This is a brand new cupcake/desert spot on Waverly in Madison NJ. I have NOT actually tasted the cupcakes, so I have awesome will power :-) But I do think it's mean to open up such a GREAT smelling business - especially for those of us struggling with a few extra pounds. I had a vanilla cupcake w/ vanilla icing which was amazing. I loved the icing, super sweet but hit the spot. My niece had a chocolate cupcake with vanilla icing. She was hesitant bc apparently good gluten free cupcakes are hard to come by. She loved it though! I just wish they had a bigger selection of gluten free baked goods for her.
