There is a phone number on the door and when I called it there is someone who will pick up your laundry at deliver it back to you. He was very nice and did a great job at an affordable price. Terrible experience. Will not be returning. I came into Crowne Cleaners in Fountain Valley with a large bag of clean, press-only blouses. I had stopped in the previous week to confirm pricing and availability -- $4 per blouse, which is fair and appreciated. Unfortunately, everything else about the visit was awful. The owner seemed immediately overwhelmed and almost irritated when I told him the items were press only. He dumped my clean blouses onto a visibly dirty counter and began hastily counting them and stuffing them into the blue bags they use for dirty laundry. When I very politely asked if those bags were typically used for soiled clothing, he became defensive and borderline hostile. Rather than simply using the clean bag I brought, or even placing them on a clean surface, he insisted he couldn't "change his process." To make matters worse, one of my shirts fell into the trash can next to the counter while he was sorting. He didn't notice -- I had to point it out. He fished it out without a word and shoved it into the same blue bag. No apology. No acknowledgment. Bottom line: They may be fine for actual dirty laundry, but if you value cleanliness and basic professionalism for press-only items, look elsewhere. I had been hoping to find a new go-to cleaner after mine retired following 20+ years -- but this isn't it. read more

When I first tried Crown Cleaners, it was mostly because it is located near my office. They have consistently done a good job with cleaning and pressing my business outfits, and the service is friendly. Recently, I discovered that my beloved taylored silk blazer was attacked by mildew while in long-term storage. Argh... I couldn't bear to toss it, and went to CC to see if it can be salvaged. They were upfront about the fact that the stains may be permanent and I may want to consider tossing it. However, after weighing the cost of cleaning vs. buying a replacement, I decided to take a chance. The owner meticulously marked the stains and offered me a reasonable price. While this is my first Yelp rating for Crown Cleaners, I've been taking my dress pants, tops and jackets to them for two years with no issues. However, recently I noticed one silk top was ripped under both arm holes. This top is not tight on me, so I know these did not occur from wear. Also, the rips are very equal in size. Unfortunately, I did not inspect the top prior to departing after pick up. ALSO, they did not disclose these issues to me upon pick up. We can see the top was stretched significantly. It looks like it got caught in a machine. I am aware this economy is challenging, but Crown Cleaners is not on the low end of the pricing spectrum. I will not return. I suggest improving practices and supervision to retain others' business and, hopefully, earn a lot of excellent Yelp ratings. read more

The jury's still out for me. These are the problems I have with them: 1. They don't post prices and I feel like the price goes up based on the label in the clothes. A cotton blazer is a cotton blazer. It shouldn't cost more because it has a recognizable name on the label. 2. However, if it *is* a higher-end item and you charge more, then at least take the extra care to clean it. I brought in an expensive, delicate silk skirt with a couple of faint oil stains on it. They cleaned one of the spots so aggressively that they almost burned a hole in the fabric. There's no hole but there is now a burn spot. The owner didn't even apologize! Bottom line, they do an ok job on basic items, but I'll never take any of my finer clothes there again. I'd rather over-pay at Margaret's Cleaners and be confident my stuff won't be ruined (not, yet, anyway). read more
