My last dry cleaning experience, elsewhere, was pretty bad. It's been awhile but my son was going to a reunion in Japan and needed his suit and several other items cleaned, so I thought I'd give Harbour Cleaners a try after reading some reviews. Best experience ever! One white shirt was horribly stained, I wrote it off regardless that the owner told me he'd try getting stains out. When I picked everything up, I couldn't believe it was the same shirt, it was spotless! Coat, pants, shirts, vests and even ties were perfectly cleaned, well cared for and nicely organized! I expected the price to be a bit higher, based on several calls I made to other dry cleaners in the area, so I was happily surprised with the amount I paid. Customer service was excellent as well. I took two pairs of jeans in to have the hems done, and the quality was terrible--the stitching came undone on both pairs very quickly. I took them back to have them fixed, but I was told that they don't offer a lifetime guarantee. This happened in less than a year. At the very least, they should be doing quality work. But I just wanted to say, Sodul (S-O-D-U-L, I think? he spelled it for me and I already forgot) was the nicest guy ever. Horrible customer service and very misleading. They lure you in with a quote and then charge double without the ability to discuss. They overcharged my 17 year old for a simple hem and charged her $83. They quoted her $20-30 over the phone, which is why she even went there to begin with. Everywhere else she called was 30-40. Total scam and when she went to pick up her dress, she was adamant they said 33 and the refused to charge less than $83. Sad that they took advantage of a young girl that needed her prom dress hemmed. Such a shame. The lady at the counter was extremely rude, as was the gentleman that did the alteration. No one ever said it was going to be $80. They should be ashamed of themselves. I tried to talk to them on the phone and they were just as rude to me. I was trying to come up with a solution that would be agreeable for all. Listen this was a simple straight hem to remove a few inches from the bottom of a dress - nothing more, no fitting, no cleaning, just a hem. First and definitely NOT the last time coming to this cleaners. I probably passed 10 cleaners on my way to this one. So my daughter came here cause I needed my husbands pants cleaned same day. This place was the only one who said yes. That's not the only reason I will continue to come here. We ended up not needing them same day after all, but the owner called us before closing to make sure he didn't miss us. That was one reason for the 5 stars. When I came the next day to pick up the item, the owner was so extremely personable, friendly and even remembered my daughter and said he called her. Who does that anymore? Makes you feel important? I don't know of any. But today, the owner made me feel like my business mattered. And that will insure I tell my friends, family and neighbors about this fine establishment. The family had a lot of dry cleaning to do since we had not done so since the start of the pandemic. I was having a hard time finding a trustworthy dry cleaner. I finally decided to give Harbour Cleaners a try even though it is not that close to us. The owner's demeanor and professionalism made my daughter and me feel good about leaving our many professional clothes and husband's dress shirts with application of light starch. Saro shared the process that he would use with daughter's white dress shirt and dress with ombré orange color which had underarm stains. I wondered if they could be salvaged. He explained that he would have to be careful about being too aggressive because of possibility of the colors blending. He carefully checked in the items and gave separate receipts for daughter's items, my items, and husband's 8 dress shirts. He applied the check in discount to the dry cleaning. He let us know to return Wednesday (6 days later) to pick up the clothes. Daughter and I returned Wednesday around the same time that we had dropped off the clothes. Husband's dress shirts were ready, but there were 2 items left which Saro needed to check on. While we waited, I noticed that our Huntington Beach police officers also entrust Saro with their uniforms. We did not want Saro to have to hurry so we offered to go grab some lunch and return. He said that we did not need to do that. He only needed five to ten minutes more. His assistant had pulled out the dress shirts and by the time we finished paying Saro had come back to the front with the remaining items. He showed us the dress. He managed to remove the stains and so the dress is wearable for a wedding. We were very satisfied with his excellent work. He has earned himself a few new customers. We will need to bring to him more dry cleaning as well as some clothing that need to be hemmed up. read more

I try to avoid buying clothes that are dry clean only, but I purchased a dry clean only skirt through a clothes subscription and ended up spilling coffee on it! There are several dry cleaners at this intersection and this one had the best reviews, so I thought I'd try it. The owner was very friendly and he knew other customers by name. When I picked up my clothes he pointed out the area where the coffee spilled to confirm they were able to get it out. I also brought in two blouses to be cleaned, that I didn't realize were dry clean only as well! (Not having good luck with buying machine washable clothes online due to Covid). I'm allergic to formaldehyde, so I have to launder my clothes before wearing them. They did a good job on the blouses and got all the wrinkles out caused by shipping them. read more

I've had a disappointing experience with this place this morning and am sad that I need to leave this review because I've been using this store for a couple years now. I had a hoodie dress in wash with them, and it has come back with the ribbon tied really tight, and of course, when I untied it, there were lines and wrinkles left like the picture. I asked the lady in the front counter that "is it supposed to come back like this?" and she answered, "yes, so they don't fall." I know it is not right (I work at an apparel company, and we have never given products with any hold lines or wrinkles to our customers.) She asked me if I wanted to steam and make them clean, but it was going to finish later today. I hope it was just a miscommunication among employees, and this is not a standard of their service. I had to get 2 suits dry cleaned for the holidays. This place is convienently located near the albertsons parking lot. I talked to the owner Saro, a really nice guy, who was flexible to take in my suits for a small premium because it was rushed. I used the $15 for $20 yelp deal. I had to pay $15 at check out. Therefore, the total was $35 for 2 suits because I put in a rushed request. I think they did a solid job. They dirty spots that I pointed out on one of my pants where gone. The pants and jackets were nicely creased. The only issue was that there was still some of my dog hair (pictures attched) on the jackets. (It makes me question about how much effort they put in to clean all my articles of clothing). I simply used a lint roller at home to get off the hair. Because it's really close, convenient, and reasonably priced I'll be trying them again. Next time, hopefully there won't be any hair remaining. read more

I brought some items to be pressed and cleaned for a wedding. I tried to provide a reasonable timeline in which to get my items taken care of, and Harbour Cleaners did a great job! I brought these in on a Monday and was asked, not told, if Thursday would work for me. The woman helping me with my drop off was very nice, and I let her know that Thursday was exact day I was going to ask for (as I had a wedding on Friday to attend) I brought in: one empire-waist dress with lace sleeves, one maroon dress shirt, one pair of charcoal dress pants, one charcoal grey suit jacket and one maroon tie. Everything was $29 to get cleaned, and I feel like that was a reasonably price. When I stopped in on Thursday to pick up my order, the owner (I think) was also very polite and helpful with finding my clothes. Everything turned out beautifully for the Friday wedding I went to; can't wait to use this place again! read more
