The only issue I have was the shower head had absolutely no water pressure in the shower, but the shower itself was so beautiful. The lagoon is stunning and the reason why we booked this hotel. I love how our room overlooked it (if you get that option). They have free kayaking and Stand up paddle boarding as well and if you walk to the end where those boars are you can see boats for rent and also a food hall at the end of the walk way. Half the lagoon is for swimming the other half is for boating. I just learned my mom has stage 4 cancer and I took her here right before we found out. I will cherish this place forever as we had such an amazing time before all hell broke out. Once she gets better I will be taking her back here to celebrate. Overall this place was a dream.

Before booking a cabana for my birthday, I specifically called to confirm whether there would be a DJ on Friday. I was told that there would be one, and that information was a primary factor in my decision to book. However, that information was incorrect. There was no DJ, which significantly impacted the experience I had planned and paid for. I understand that plans and entertainment schedules can change, but this was not the case, something I specifically took the time to verify before making my reservation and was definitely told yes there would be a dj was totally inaccurate based on the onsite stagf when I ateived. The issue is less about the entertainment itself and more about being given inaccurate information when I called to confirm. Please do better with the information being provided by the people answering your phones. Guests make purchasing decisions based on what they are told, and accurate information matters, especially when someone is planning a special occasion. I expected much more for my birthday and left feeling utterly disappointed.

Overall, it was fun, we and our son had a great time. This hotel is a budget hotel. Check-in to the hotel was easy and the desk person was kind and helpful. Getting our park passes and information from the park pass desk, was almost the opposite. She got us our passes and vouchers, yes, but did not provide details we didn't know existed, like where to go for our early entry breakfast at Three Cauldrons as the park is not open for early entry... Honestly, with the level of service from the pass desk, we would have been better off if the passes were mailed or emailed to us instead, with detailed instructions. The hotel isn't bad, but every night was noisy after 11pm. It seems like the hotel just is not insulated well. The worst part, I don't think they clean the floors in the rooms. Ours was incredibly dirty, making the bottom of our socks black'ish. Also, poorly maintained as some of our lights did not work, making the room fairly dark when trying to get ready in the mornings. Lastly, they say the Universal shuttle bus arrives about every 10 minutes, but this is also not true. Multiple occasions it was closer to 30 minutes with a couple times being over 45 minutes. I will say that Surfside has the way shorter line. However, there were times where the bus wouldn't go to Surfside unless there were passengers still on it after dropping off at Dockside. Overall, Universal has created this preferred hotel, shuttle bus situation and IMO, they do not do it well. All they need to do is provide clean rooms and timely transportation. -Maybe toss in an informative pass desk representative. We'll skip Universal Orlando from here on out. It's A LOT of money and the hotel and concierge experience just falls flat.

The housekeeping forget that they have a job with have committed hours and for some of us who travel for work , getting every minute of sleep possible is important what they do on purpose is if you have you do not disturb sign or already have a late check out, they get extremely rude, and they start knocking into the door on purpose and banging into the walls in the adjoining rooms when they're cleaning this comes with years of traveling experience, so that's the only problem I have with this hotel is housekeeping. Maybe they should be a little bit more sympathetic towards those of us who actually have to travel for work & like uninterrupted sleep. It's a shame their housekeeping does this on purpose to get the guests out so they can clean quicker. Some people are even on vacation trying to relax. It's unfair to them too.

Very pleased about the ceiling fan in the room. Honestly one of the cleanest hotel rooms we've experienced, even compared to more expensive stays. Very spacious room too.
