I was here with my brother and sister in law and I couldn't believe how poorly they were treated. They were pushed around when they brought there own financing they were told they couldn't take the car till the money from their bank cleared which is insane the bank called to verify funds etc and then they were forced to sign paperwork before seeing the vehicle and I came back with my sister in law to pickup the vehicle and she immediately got justin the sales manager and asked about getting this fixed right and he agreed it was poorly done and came back and they said they wouldn't fix it! Wow. So she called my brother and he told her to take it for a quote before we decided on unwinding the deal that justin offered. After getting the quote from the real body shop they're now refusing to take the vehicle back?! That is disappointing and I would avoid this dealership if you don't want similar problems. read more

My car battery gave out and I found myself in desperate need to get my car serviced. It was the morning after Thanksgiving and I was stressed. My mother convinced me to overcome my distrust of dealerships to check out the only authorized Kia dealer within 25 miles. Tracy was wonderful in showing me a variety of Kia Souls, and it is a shame that the situation played out as it did. She showed me a well priced 2025 Kia Soul EX that had "never been owned" despite the certified pre-owned sticker on the back, and I was ready to take the next steps. This is when my mother noticed a massive golf ball sized hole in the front bumper, and Tracy left to grab her manager Dexter. Dexter proceeds to stick his finger in the hole, and roughly say "yeah that's damaged, we have vendors who come around and spray, we will fix it". He continued rewording this response in return to all questions related to the logistics of how it happened to a car that was never owned or about buying a car that has been damaged on the lot. I think a good review should remain unbiased, so I will take accountability and admit that my ability to regulate my demeanor was weakening right about here. I think it's well understood that most $20,000+ purchases are stressful, and I was slowly losing confidence and patience for this whole process. I never raised my voice, but my tone matched my mood and I closed my body language. To bring the story to a close, Dexter's last answer to our questions were that he was unsure as to what we were "truly asking for", and I tried whispering to my mother that I was uncomfortable and would like to leave. This is when I get yelled at and scolded by Dexter. He called me rude repetitively, and accused me of cursing under my breath. The only thing I had said under my breath was a plea to get out of this situation. Honestly, even if I had cursed him under my breath, it is still inappropriate for a manager to berate a customer period. Especially when it continues even as they walk away, and said manager is continuing to yell insults half out the doorway to a young lady clearly trying to leave. I have worked retail and understand what it is like when you are dealing with a frustrated customer. However, given that experience, I find it insane that a Manager, who apparently only showed up to say the car will be fixed, could be brought to the point of yelling at a young woman over an 'attitude' or questions about a car damaged by and at his business. It adds insult to injury to find out that he is specifically the "USED Car Salesman Manager" and could not navigate questions about a USED Car! I have no interest in making any assumptions about Dexter or his character, as I try to have empathy and understand that some people have bad days. I honestly feel conflicted leaving the review, but it has ruined my night and upgraded my distrust into a fear. In conclusion, if you are interested in getting anything other than a Kia or a confrontation, you may have better luck at the Crown up the street. If you are stronger than me, and still feel comfortable buying a Kia in Saint Petersburg, ask for Tracy. She was an angel throughout the whole experience from beginning to end, and it's so unfortunate that her poor management sullied her excellent service. :( EDIT: The damage on the car in question is visible currently in its listing online. The car was recorded and in a photo shoot, and apparently no one noticed the dent in the bumper that whole time and every other interaction until we showed up... Just wow. read more

I've sat on this for months now but have to say this was the worst dealership experience I've had. I spent two days, multiple hours with Tony. I had signed a contract for a car with an APR/car payment plan I was comfortable with only for Tony to "talk with his manager" and come back with a totally different deal. My APR had gone from 2.4% to 12? 60 months went to 72 months.. The reason I was given was that I had a co-signer that was out of state- not because of the co-signer but because they were out of state. I walked out on the deal, the manager ran out to the car with a new deal, Tony messaged me later with another new deal, and the next morning Tony messaged me it was back to the original deal !! I responded that I was going with a different dealership to which he was responded "if you buy a Kia it should be from me. I earned it". The only thing Tony earned is my distrust and I advise caution to anyone dealing with him. Hopefully he learned his lesson losing a deal and has stopped his shady ways. I went to Lokey Kia in Clearwater. They offer free oil changes for life every 6 months or every 6000 miles- whichever comes first, included all weather mats, and tinted windows. I asked Tony to included tinted windows and he lied and said they couldn't. I know he lied because once I told him about the deal I was getting, he said they could match it. read more
