I brought my car in for a 30k mile inspection. they quoted me almost $700 for 3 different fluid changes. i declined and asked them instead to just do a visual inspection since i was already there. They called back and said my tires are to the point that they're about to pop (i know i need to replace them soon) and that they could see shreds of the tire. That was a lie. They also told me my oil was BLACK and that it needed to be changed ASAP. This was also a lie i have normal looking oil. I feel as because i am a woman they tried to upsell everything they could. Same thing with my air filter they said it was black and dirty. I've been here a hand full of times before and i'm kind of to the point where i expect mechanics to try to upsell me things i don't need because im a woman. very disappointing. Since moving to Florida, I've been to several places in search of quality car care. I finally found it. Crown KIA is the only place I will go back to for service. Not only were they less expensive than other dealerships, they treated me with respect, provided a complimentary shuttle service and didn't try and up sell me anything. What a refreshing experience! This review is for the SALES department. Service has given me no issues. I bought my 2016 Kia Sportage here around 3 years ago. The process was sub par. The sales guy just told us what we wanted to hear, even though it contradicted all of our future experiences with them. At that point we were just tired of looking for the right vehicle and caved. I bought the extended warranty and was told that it was "bumper to bumper", and I was also informed that according to Carfax there was a minor fender bender in the past but it was nothing to worry about. Turns out the "extended warranty" is hardly bumper to bumper: read the fine print. There is a list of 19 types of things that are not included in the warranty which is most of the damned car!! Recently we decided to downsize and sell the car. I got quotes from Carvana, Carguru's, and Carmax; they quoted me $15,550, $15,600 and $16,800 respectively. Then, I decided to go to Crown Kia because I figured they would give me an even better price. Boy, was I wrong. I was quoted at $12,500. They said that they couldn't budge on the price at all because of the Carfax issue. Funny how the Carfax wasn't an issue when they sold it to me. Do yourself a favor and NEVER sell your car here, always shop around. I sold my car yesterday for 16,800 at CarMax. Over $4000 more than Crown Kia offered me. Just got back from their labor day sale after receiving a flier in the mail saying they would be paying msrp less a mileage/condition variable on trade ins for model years 2005-2019,. Mine is a 2022 yet i still received one and texted the number on the flier for more information. Andrew Turner was able to convince the Sales manager to sell us his demo that he was currently driving after my girlfriend fell in love with the color of that specific car. Andrew was also able to get the detail department to clean and detail the car for us that same day almost 2 hours before closing just so we could drive the vehicle home THE SAME DAY! Every employee at the dealership that we dealt with from the sales manager to the finance manager, detail department, and every one in between was extremely pleasant, super helpful, and patient with us. I don't recommend this place to have any service or repairs done if you are unfortunate enough to own a KIA product. With so much negative news and reviews on a lot of their products you would think that they would excel in the one area that is, for the most part, cost free, and that's their Customer Service. I have a 2016 Kia Sorento that to this point has been keeping my faith in the company, I am the second owner of the vehicle, but it was like new when I bought it, with very low miles. Like most Kia products, some of the common issues, most owners have reported online, stared happening to my vehicle, most noticeably, paint chipping, the sunroof failing to close, the keyless entry button failing, and finally, the gear shift stuck in park. With my previous (Negative) experiences going to the Service Center at 5301 34th, in St. Pete, I was dreading having go back, but I was optimistic about the new dealership in Pinellas Park. Everything started of great, they were able to get me in a couple days after calling for an appointment. Wednesday morning, I got there well before the appointment, and was ushered into the Service office. Things were looking up! Then, my optimism was quickly checked by the service consultant, John. First, he informed me that for all the things that were "known recalls" of the 2016 Kia Sorento, based on my VIN#, they were only showing a recall for the Trailer Hitch. A Trailer Hitch I don't have!! I reiterated the recalls that they (KIA) presently have posted for the 2016 KIA SORENTO, the identical issues affecting my 2016 KIA SORENTO. However, based my VIN, the recalls don't apply. I know, it doesn't make sense to me either. OK! A big inconvenience, but let's move forward. John said they could get it into service for a diagnostic check. It would take a couple days. I thought the same thing, "he's kidding, a couple days for a diagnostic check?" Just to be sure, I said, "So it'll be done by Friday then?" his response, "Yea, maybe!". I get it, under-promise, then overdeliver, I use that tactic all the time... Here're the keys! Skip to Saturday evening, around 4pm, I am without a vehicle, or an update, for now four days. I called to find out if I can come pick-up my vehicle, and was told my Service Consultant, John, is on vacation. That part didn't bother me much. What was upsetting was, because John was my consultant, and he was on vacation, absolutely nothing was done, no diagnostics, no service, nothing in the past four days! In a way I was relieved they did nothing. If they mis-manage their customers this badly, I have little faith any services provided would be better. I immediately went to get my vehicle. While I was waiting, as they shuffled around looking for the service sleeve for my car, I couldn't help but to ask if this was their standards when a consultants is out on leave. They were quick to say John has only been there for 4 months and has already had previous disciplinary action taken for poor customer service. That was followed by their severe understaffing of mechanics that's cause the all the delays. Yea buddy, John and the mechanics, the problem! Not three guys sitting behind the desks in the service center on a Saturday evening with not one customer sitting in the waiting area and none of you have a phone in hand calling customers about why its taking damn near a week to get their vehicles back. To top it all off, their remedy to this whole situation, and bullet pointing of their complete lack of customer service, was telling me to try and make any appointment with their Service Center in Clearwater. The only thing new about KIA's service, is the façade on their new building. I am selling this POS for whatever I can get for it! It's been real KIA! read more

On Saturday, July 8th, we purchased a Jeep Renegade from Chris at the THEN Mitsubishi/Kia Dealership. 30 days later, it threw 6 codes, was un-drivable, and needed towed to the nearest Jeep dealership. We instantly contacted our salesman Chris at Crown, but received no reply initially. The dealership we towed it to said the parts were unavailable from the manufacturer, but thankfully, we paid extra for an extended warranty and had the option of a rental. We sent a text to contact the salesman Chris again, and this time was told, "we'll trade you out of it ONCE IT'S FIXED." I attempted to email Vinny, who was supposedly the main guy in charge, and received an auto response of ooh, so sorry. Let us know when it's repaired, and we'll see what we can do. REPAIRED being the keywords. As of today, December 18th, 2023, the Jeep has been in the shop 126 days, ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY SIX!!!!! We have made all 5 pmts with NO VEHICLE IN OUR POSSESSION!! We just want out of this vehicle, and because of negative equity, we can't. I received the CarFax in October from a different salesperson because we didn't receive one from Chris. He SAYS we saw one as he pointed to a signatureline stating, "only had one owner", nevermind the half dozen transfers to other dealerships and two trips to the Auto Auctions, however, there was ZERO paperwork sent with us besides the registration slip from the plate transfer and the breakdown of our intial offer. This car was sold in a very sketchy manner after seeing the carfax and finding out it had gone to auction TWICE!! That was not info presented at the sale. Had problem with 2018 Stinger GT2 filling the gas tank, nozzle kept shutting off, they contacted KIA and KIA said the problem was integral and to replace the whole gas tank and vent hoses. Had some paint crazing on the plastic strips in the roof and they are replacing them (with black) while it waits for the gas tank and doing the brake pump recall fix and adjusting the fuel fill door so will be a few days. Substandard Guidance and Management Poor Leadership, Wrong Focus, Lack of Support, Poor Innovation, and Poor Communication by both my Sale Agent and his Sales Manager who knows extraordinarily little about resolving conflicts equitably, and fairly during his poor customer service behavior. Both sale representatives know truly little of the value of this key follow-on benefit to their dealership. A doomed philosophy to follow in the sale that does not motivate to return or to express recommendations. There is no trust building that solicits improved customer satisfaction where little to none exists at Crown KIA. Both sales employees did not satisfactorily meet my issue, and they showed little interest in solving my problem caused by their sales agent. There also was no we are being sorry in my issue. Their impact result failed to ensure satisfaction and my opinionated value which was below par their dealer impression. Find another worthy dealership that this one fails to meet and should have in their company philosophy. Based on these opinions through my experience at Crown KIA, I would have to believe that the best sales options would be located at other dealerships. Like other senior citizens, my sales guy does not remember our discussions, or my question about wheel locks being asked in the sale discussion. He has limited product knowledge after my question, as it was acknowledged quickly and readily that the item in question was on the vehicle. It was not as I read the Sorento Owner's Manual to only discover the parallel uncovering after the sale and being home. Horrible memory. Following-up on this principal issue to me through four phone calls, my Crown KIA sales agent went to his manager, aka, Sales Manager, who is the same one who demonstrated limited corrective action. He returned his poor corrective action analysis through his sales agent who re-laid back to me. Lazy is what he is and the action that created this negative review and his attempt to resolve my problem. NEVER will I return to this dealership for anything. I challenge this inexperienced Sales Manager to bring this topic to his next meeting to get his staff to respond to it and discover that there are more powerful remedies other than the one that fell short for me. He may need improved coaching performance that he lacks himself. This manager truly lacks the skill level to understand the full tool kit of his profession on how to increase sales, performance, to increase motivational sales agent skills to enhance the profit and loss metric of partial success. But I am not impressed with his failed action to me. Yes, substandard actions which now takes us to the General Manager of Crown KIA who needs to enhance their ability to improve on their ability on finding continuous improvement actions which is truly lacking in this dealership. Effective coaching is lacking in this organization, and I hold the General Manager responsible for their failed leadership. There is no powerful perspective on analyzing disagreements and failed communication. Your Sale Manager does not know how to action once these elements expose themselves to take charge to effectively remedy corrective actions. There is more to his position to just increasing sales. There are other more profitable options to increase sales that are on the opposite side of the equation. This other side has determined my approach to never returning for anything from this dealership. To do nothing further from this complaint, you get nothing in return. Good Luck because corrective behavior is necessary as I have found low intelligence and rationale from this dealer to ever return or recommend it to others by failing to exhibit powerful consideration to ever value their business climate. He was new to the dealership but very knowledgeable and patient as I made my decision to purchase. I've done business with other Crown dealerships and been quite satisfied. This one however, is ineptly run. The deal on a used car was fine and the salesman was fine. We had a temporary license tag on the car and were told the real one would arrive via mail. It never did. We went around and around with phone calls and voicemail and unreturned calls. We were misled and lied to by several employees and ended up having to make 2 trips to the dealership to pick up the plate. The first time being told it was there, only to find out it was not. Where it was and why it was there the next day was never revealed. Very shoddy business practices in my mind. You don't treat customers this way if you want return business. I will not recommend this dealer nor will I ever darken their door in the future. I don't know what their maintenance shop is like, nor do I plan to find out. read more

I went into the service department to have a check engine light diagnosed, and since it was due for an oil change to have that completed as well. The service team could not replicate the check engine light due to the battery being changed that morning and the codes didn't store. The service department kept my car for a week, test drove for over 20 miles with no results, Thomas Allen the advisor told me to bring the car back immediately and ask for him he'd get the car scanned when the light comes back on. When I picked up the car, in less than 10 minutes of driving the light came back on, I pulled over and called only to be told they don't have time to check it. I stopped by today, a week later met with Thomas Allen again who advised I could leave the car for a week and they would get to it. I am a single mother, work full time and need my vehicle. I already had a rental for the week the car was in the shop for the first failed diagnosis. I would not bring my car back to this location for service, they play games, hold zero accountability, give no updates and do not return calls. read more

Purchased a Kia Soul at Crown Kia and was relatively OK with the process and price although it did require more trips to the dealership than necessary and longer than expected waits to get certain items completed. My issue is with after sales service. Had what I later found was a minor issue with my vehicle. Called Crown to schedule an appointment and was told that there were no available times for TWO MONTHS. Finally had to go to a local mechanic who made the adjustment in fifteen minutes. (For a charge - of course) If this is how Crown handles what should be a minor warranty service issue, it will be the last time I do business with them. Totally unacceptable. UPDATE: Just got a telephone call from Crown. They apologized for the treatment that I received and promised to do better in the future. I am willing to admit that this issue might have been a single incident.
