Overall it serves its purpose its got nice comfy rooms, nice showers , comfy bed to sleep ; but theres just nothing to do in the hotel or hotel area which is kinda par for the course with this part of rhodeisland , nicest bar in a 10 min driving radius was ok sports bar thats more for locals, install a bar and maybe some type of arcade/rec area for guests and im sure youd get better ratings read more

Came here with my husband for a car meet. I didn't receive a luggage rack upon check-in and was told they ran out. There is no fridge or microwave in the room. Room service menu is excellent. Ok let me start by stating that our stay may have been better if the national little league teams weren't staying here concurrently. Also note, I have three kids and they do not act like these kids that were there. The kids ran around the hotel unsupervised and out of control! We arrived to find them running into the pool area from the outside hall screaming and dive bombing into the pool. We were surprised no one was injured. One parent at the pool said she was watching all 10 kids. Yea right. Watching them run amuck. Literally the kids were all over the hotel unsupervised and unruly. Even going in and out of the bar/restaurant barefoot, I suppose that's where the parents were, hiding from the kids. I never expected this hotel to be a kid playground since there's no water park or amusement park nearby, so it was quite a surprise to see the mess! NOW, as far as the hotel is concerned, the hotel staff came to the pool immediately when it was called to their attention that the kids were unsupervised and misbehaved. There was a staff member stationed on every floor like a security guard due to all the kids. It was very nice to see that effort, but I'm not sure what their main concern was. The room was clean and decent for the price if you need to be by the airport. All in all next time I would check to make sure there's no major events in the area before booking. read more

Here for business. The second night, there were two weddings. One of the wedding party's meeting room was immediately next to my room. The noise was terrible and lasted way into the night. I wasn't able to get more than two hours of sleep. The front desk would not allow me to move to another room. Then there was the parking issues. There was no working lighting in about a third of the parking lot including the most remote part of the lot which is where the only available parking was for room guests. We booked a king room four months before our event at this hotel. At check-in we were told that no king rooms were available, so they gave us a double. I pressed them for an answer regarding why they would give our king reservation to someone else, but they had no sensible response. Horrible customer service. Wow! What great customer service. We had reservations for a different hotel, not associated with the crowne, on airport road. We got to the first hotel at 3:00 pm (check in) . We were given a room key and made our way to our room (with a toddler, an infant, and a million bags) in tow. When we got to our room, it was filthy. Bed unmade, trash everywhere..you get the idea. We assumed this was a mistake that could be quickly corrected, until we made our way to the lobby and saw several families and their bags waiting for rooms. We talked to the front desk and were told it would be a 2-3 hrs wait for a clean room. We canceled the hotel and called the Crowne Plaza. Not only did they give us a room, they gave it to us at a discounted rate since we were with a wedding party that was staying there. The hotel was lovely, my room was large and very clean. The conference meeting space was exactly what we needed. There was a cool arboretum room where we had our breakfast and reception. The banquet staff was very attentive with my allergy concern and walked me through the buffet so that I knew exactly what I could and could not eat. Horrible no water ,, drain clogged, restaurant closed for renovation, ate in bar where chicken was served raw and there was a hair in burger. Are you kidding? No manager on cal? Staff just sitting around. Waitress was asleep on the booth( Stacie) when we entered bar. First call for hot water and drain was ignored! They didn't fix either problem. This hotel should be closed for renovations. We received no notification that it was under construction. They lied about the hot water. Turns out the whole hotel had none. Possibly the worst experience ever. I have stayed here a few times and was impressed at first. The last few visits were ok. My last stay this past weekend was terrible. Will never go back. Upon getting our room and getting settled we noticed some small bits of tissue on the ottoman and the floor. We thought the maid must not have vacuumed. We then realized there were no hand towels or face cloths, just 3 bath towels. A while later we moved one of the chairs and found a box for a sex toy. The bed didn't appear dirty but didn't leave me with a confident feeling that it was clean either. I brought the box to the front desk. They apologized and offered to switch rooms or send house keeping back to tidy up. I wasn't confident the new room would be any cleaner and opted to have housekeeping come. One of the people from the desk looked at the monitor and said to the girl helping me "the supervisor signed off that the room was inspected" as if I planted this or something. I asked for fresh linens for the bed, and some towels. A while later a guy comes to the door with a spray bottle and towels and said he was told to clean the bathroom. We asked about the linens for the bed and explained why. He was more concerned with what type of toy the box was for and what we did with the box. He came back with new linens for the bed. The pillow cases were wet. We called back and he brought new ones. These were not as wet as the others but damp. He said they don't dry pillow cases so they appear crisp and have no wrinkles. I have never been so grossed out, and treated as poorly. Since they didn't even offer to credit even the breakfast we prepaid for, which was a whole other bad expeience, they can keep the money. They will never get another dime of mine. read more

I do not recommend this hotel nor would I stay here ever again. I stayed here for a wedding that I was the minister in. I was treated poorly at the front desk by a rude young lady who made it seem like I was inconveniencing her. I brushed that off because I was in a rush to get to my room and get ready. I went to the room, its was okay, smelled old and musty, but was a good size and had and nice bathroom (minus the mold in the shower). I then went to check on the bridal parties, the men were in a normal sized room getting ready, which was fine. The women were all in a normal size room with two makeup artists and two hair stylists. Probably should have been coordinated so the girls could have used two rooms for that, but no big deal. I had the bride and groom separately sign their marriage license request form since I had to send it through the mail and never want to forget to have that done. I then went up to the front desk where I was the only guest standing up there but was not helped right away and was ignored. I then had to say "excuse me" and the same young lady that checked me in raised her head and glared at me without saying a word. I then asked her if she could drop this envelope in the mail and she grabbed it and said 'yeah, but not until Monday" and put her head back down. I said my thank yous and walked away. The wedding went off great, the event staff was wonderful. I was not pleased by the way the hospitality staff treated me and I am a very polite person, even after being treated like an inconvenience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, I do like the IHG brand and will stay in their other hotels but this one, never again. read more

The hotel interior and rooms are nice but if you are expecting a good experience here you will be disappointed. We checked in with a baby and there was no mention that the big wedding tent outside our room would be raging loud music until midnight on both weekend nights. They offered us earplugs after we complained. No room change and no apology. To boot, the in laws room wasn't ready until two hours after the established check in time and when they finally got into their room they discovered ladies underpants on the bathroom floor. The hotel itself was, by my standards, three stars meaning that it met expectations without anything special to add stars. Good service, clean, comfortable etc but no more than you would expect. If you need a meal while staying there, however, do not go hunting for places to go outside the hotel and the hotel restaurant was unexpectedly good. A potentially wonderful hotel, but with ZERO regard for guests versus booked functions. Several rooms face a large tent which serves as a second, large function room. Being a tent, there is absolutely no sound insulation to protect facing rooms from unreasonable noise. As I write this review, my wife and I are sitting in our car in the parking lot to achieve some moments of peace from an evening of African drumbeats (literally). Management has neither answer nor satisfaction for us. "Sorry, no other rooms which don't face the tent." It's now 9:10 PM. We've been sitting in the car for a half hour; the function ends at 11. Went here for a business convention everything was great the first 2days. My 3rd night there i found a bed bug I called front desk, captured the bug in a cup for them to see. Immediately they changed my room from the king size bed to my new room with 2 double beds. Housekeeping offered to help me switch rooms. That's the only communication they had with me no one came to apologize or to check on me in my new room. When's first checked n within 10minutes they called to make sure everything was ok. I wasn't looking for a discount as my company paid for it but a little customer service could go a long way! read more

The hotel exterior is very nice, we stayed on the 5th floor in the newly renovated room which we were overall impressed with. However, unless you are staying there for a wedding or function that is located in the hotel, I wouldn't recommend it for a weekend stay. During our stay, there were 2 weddings and the noise level was extremely loud to the point where it was shaking the glass in our room. When we complained the front desk staff, they didn't seem to care at all. They said oh it will stop no later than 11pm, however, it succeeded going past that time. They had an attitude and never once apologized for the loud noise that ultimately kept us up when we had to wake up early. So needless to say we were disappointed with the staff and the overall experience. read more

This hotel has a very large outdoor tent that is located right next to the building. Unfortunately they have no problem booking rooms that are directly next to the tent to people not attending the event. Loud pounding music until 11pm and no concern for anyone affected by it. I am here for a separate week long event so do not have the option of moving to a different hotel or changing rooms if one were available. read more

I had my wedding here recently in the Atrium room, and the event coordinating staff was tremendous. Helped with every last detail... Aside from that I was very disappointed when I arrived on the eve of my wedding with a car FULL of my wedding dress, 2 other dresses, suitcase, gift bags for bridal party, my toddler in tow, and there was not a single attendant around. I half expected there to be someone available at the door that could've brought a cart along or provided assistance... given that there were a few weddings that weekend, there were bound to be several brides, grooms and guests to be arriving.. I got out of my car and found a cart, loaded and attempted to push it to the lobby, but not one employee asked if they could help. I had to leave my cart unattended in the lobby while I parked my car. I just half expected, after the several thousand dollars that we spent there , an employee would have offered to assist. I didn't let that affect my opinion of the rest of the hotel. The Atrium was set up beautifully, the food was amazing and the waiters/hostess were wonderful during the reception. Got a note from Management saying how'd they never inconvenience another guest over a wedding. YOU HAVE A KNOWN ISSUE AND STILL SCREW PEOPLE OVER FOR A FEW BUCKS. I did contact the front desk at 9, and was told there was nothing they could do. Wedding was booked until 11pm and no other rooms available (like I'd want to move at that hour). Front desk couldn't even apologize at 5am next morning - like they'd seen it all before many a time. Couldn't even get a call back. Bottom line - place sucks. AVOID. read more

Unless you stay here for free, avoid this place. I stayed here last weekend to celebrate my 15th anniversary with my wife. The front desk lady said they don't offer free breakfast to platinum members anymore. (The IHG websites says this hotel offers free breakfast) Then she said I can use my 600 points to cover the breakfast so I took it. Room was good except it was next to the wedding party. It was NOISY until 11:29 pm (yeah, I was checking the clock) My 2 year-old baby couldn't get to sleep until 10 pm. The breakfast was mediocre at best. I don't know why they charge it since it's no difference than the free one from Holiday Inn Exp. I saw the check, but I didn't care since I thought I was paying with my points. (You see the $$ on your bill even if you eat for free at Hyatt. I thought it was the same thing) Now I have to dispute this through the IHG. Just attended our church's 40th anniversary dinner there on Saturday evening. High points for decor, cleanliness and staff, but the food was terrible. My baked fish was dry, over baked, almost no sauce with it and nearly tasteless. Vegetables were okay, and the mashed potatoes were a little too smooth to be real. Oh, and there was only a Caesar salad, no other choice, so my mom (who's allergic to milk) had to eat hers dry. The desert was an ice cream parfait in a nice little glass, but they had obviously taken them right out of the freezer to put directly on the tables. They were frozen solid and everyone had to let them sit a while before eating. Coffee was fine but our table of 8 had only one half filled creamer to pass around. I would certainly expect better food at a 45/per meal dinner. read more

Just went to a Church Dinner dance. There were about 100 people. The soup was cold, bread was almost stale, pasta was disgusting and the scrod/chicken dinners were so DRY!!! The best was the salad and the chocolate bomb for dessert. I have gone there for functions in the past and they were very good. I am not looking forward to going to another function there. read more

The hotel was forced on us by our travel softball team. Through the booking agent we were charged $160 a night that bumped to $180 with the taxes, etc. Breakfast was to be included, but was somehow "forgotten" until it was produced in writing. Vouchers for breakfast were provided, but we had early games and two of the three mornings it was pastries and coffee left on on a table available for any hotel guest. Nothing like paying a premium to have your food picked over and get stale leftovers. So know this, I have never reviewed a single thing on yelp prior to this, my motivation was the shit service on the last morning. Heading out to our games I pass the pastries and coffee with my arms full. I come back in to grab a cup of coffee and it is all gone. I ask at the desk, "Is it being replenished, or what's the deal?" I'm told its done and not available. I say I just want a cup of coffee, "sorry". How about I use my voucher and go get a cup from the restaurant, "Sorry, not open until 6:30." "Is there nothing you can do for me? No." That "no" was my motivation and sums up the experience. That is their customer service. Could I have gone back to my room and used there shitty mini coffee maker - sure. Could I stop at Dunkin ofr a cup - I did. Am I happy, no. Other issues: No fridge - mght get one if you ask.(so we were told on our last night. Wedding Music - hell yes, love it or not, you get to hear it. Catered pizza and salad - still on the cardboard it came frozen on. Housekeeping was good, parking ample, rooms clean, and with just a little more effort they could have avoiding this bitching rant from me. If you go to Iggie's, and I recommend it, for Fish and Chips be sure to eat it there - ample good food, but soggy if transported too far. read more

I attended a wedding here and the hotel is beautiful. The wedding was beautiful and the staff were very great. The décor is beautiful and up to date. My only complaint was that we used the valet because we were running late and didn't want to be late for the wedding. At the end of the evening we were given our keys and at the front desk and told we had to find out own car. The valet company was not affiliated with the hotel and did not leave directions of where they left the cars and just left the keys at the front desk. I was in shock. My three stars is due to the lack of control the hotel showed with this vendor. read more

I had a great time at a convention here last weekend! The room was clean, well stocked with towels, pillows and extra blankets. The hotel staff was very pleasant and I loved Eric the Bartender who took great care of our group during this event. The buffet dinners for the staff provided by the hotel were actually really good and very tasty. The servers were lovely. I was TOTALLY disappointed by the restaurant for brunch though. When we arrived at 9:30 the buffet breakfast was cold and had been there a while. The eggs were dry, the bacon was rubbery at best, the french toast was bullet proof...you get it. Overpriced for poor quality. The gym was in a temp place but had a tv and all the machines, balls, yoga mats, etc. And free water so that's nice. Overall, great stay and a pretty good price for a convention hotel. We paid $123/night for the convention special price. Oh yeah and free wifi, a free shuttle to the airport and the shuttle would take you to anywhere within 5 miles of the hotel. I asked them to take me to the grocery store to pick up some food for the weekend and the driver waited with me for about 15 minutes while I shopped and took me back! Who could ask for anything more! read more
