Honestly I've been coming here for years! I love this place. My friends and I usually come here for wings and beer. Love this place. We have been coming to this place for years. We used to come for the wings but we have since tried so many other items. In addition to the wings, we get the Irish Nachos. They tend to be dry so I like to dip them in the blue cheese sauce. Their loaded potatoes are great too - how do they get the potato warm and melt the cheese but keep the sour cream in the center cool! Mussel pot, I heard they are the same as (or supplied?) from Waterzooi. We usually get the Hoegarden flavor and add some hot sauce. The buffalo sauce flavored one is overpowering. Their burgers are amazing! We usually get their sweet potato fries. Beware, the charge extra for swamping it out for regular fries. Also their French Dip sandwich is on point! I think they have recently gotten strict about their wing deals - each person has buy a drink to get the wing deal. It's not going to break the bank, it's just annoying Bc if you don't want to drink alcohol or a sugary drink, you will be charge $5. read more

I kinda wish there was a 3.5 star option because Croxleys is definitely not a 3, but I'm not quite sure it's a 4 either. There's a great beer selection here and most of the items on the menu (Wings, Irish Nachos, Mozzarella Sticks, etc.) are all on point. The Reese's Peanut Butter Pie is legitimately one of the best things you will EVER have in your life. I'm not exaggerating or overstating. It's eff'ing ridiculous how good these things are. With that said, I have reason to believe that the Croxley's staff is hoarding the last stash of these things in their basement because I've reached out to numerous companies to no avail. The only time I make a face is when the girl at the front purposefully overshoots the wait time in hopes that you make her night easier by simply leaving. The wait time is basically 65% of what they tell you. Speaking of that front desk, can ya stop with this miserable "every member of your party has to show up" before you can be seated. Great spot for every game. You can't beat 10 cent wings + 60 beer selection. TV's abound and every seat has a good view. Beware, your tab will creep up quick if you don't pay attention. Sweet potato fries are great but clock in at $7. Some of the beers on tap can creep above $12 dependending on what you like. For the basics though, best deal in town... Update I just went to the Rockville Centre location and prefer it way over the Franklin Square spot, primarily for parking, though the restaurant section is also larger and more open which makes it a little nicer. Also, make sure to look for the Honey-Hot wings - they're not listed on the 10cent wing selection menu because they're actually 20 cents, but they are well worth the upgrade. read more

I love Croxleys. In my opinion, they have one of the best boneless wings out there. They're a nice size, and always perfectly sauced to still keep them crunchy on the outside. I've also had their pulled pork which is good, but not amazing. I've definitely had worst though. When I was here last, I tried the Irish nachos which had the potential to be really good, but you could tell that they were prob done and left around because when they came to the table the cheese was a bit hard, making it difficult to eat because when u pulled one fry out, a huge clump came with it since the cheese wasn't loose and melty. Next time I come, I would like to try the macaroni and cheese. I always eye it on the menu but never see anyone order it so I'm always hesitant...I hate being disappointed by macaroni and cheese! Things have not improved since my last review 3 years ago. What happened??? This was a weekly staple on mine. Stopped by last night for a quick bite. The place was empty, though it is the summer not everyone wants to sit in a dark bar. First thing I noticed, the beer menu. Alot of the old faithful favorite staples were gone. Second...we wait forever to place our order, keep in mind its not packed or busy, I would say less then half capacity. We wait and wait, our waitress says the kitchen is backed up. We wait some more, part of the order shows up. Then the wings show up and they were old stale, covered in sauce and cold. Then our appetizer showed up again, which we had already received earlier. Third- the bill.....jezz louise. 2 beers, 8 bbq wings, 12 hot wings and irish nachos.... almost 60 bucks. The finale.....sick as a dog this morning. Not the worst food I've had but so completely generically average that I don't feel it should even get an average rating; if that makes sense. You can get the same quality, quantity and service at Applebee's, Friday's, Chilis... The "Chips" of fish & chips were really regular old fries. Even though on the menu they are literally in quotation marks "CHIPS" and even though when I asked the waitress who assured me they were the "you know, like, the big French fries" yes, I still got fries. The wings came in a soup of cheap hot sauce. They were over fried or more likely fried several times. And I hate to bring this up but I got very very ill that night. I do not have hard proof that it was from their food but instincts tell me that it was. They do have a craft-ish beer menu that might impress someone who just started drinking craft beer. So this establishment claims to have a 21 and over policy just to enter and eat however the last time we visited this place we saw a toddler sitting at the first booth by the entrance. The hostess refused me and my girlfriend service claiming it was too busy and they didn't want to risk me getting her drunk. When we pointed out the child at the table they said he is with his parents and they "trust" them. Maybe its just me or the nasty vibe we got being the only "minorities" in the place however this situation did not sit right with us. Either way enforce the policy for all or revise it. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. 10 cent wings! (Though you do need to order a beer with your order. Not to complain because they have many many fantastic beers on tap. You can either go with a heavier stout/porter to cool down the spiciness or a lighter IPA if you don't want a heavy beer taking away from your ability to eat as many wings as possible.) The wings are awesome and I would suggest a mix of BBQ and spicy. The hot is not very spicy, though one step under their spiciest makes it so that it makes eating wings almost unenjoyable. The minimum for each order is 15, so be wary of what you choose. They do not allow taking home leftovers otherwise I'd take home so much that I would have a lifetime supply of wings and would be eating wings right now instead of salivating while writing a review. The wait for a table isn't bad though waiting for the wings took over 40 minutes. My friends who go frequently say that that's not usually the case. At least the service is quite good. read more

An institution that has not lost sight of what has made them great. They continue to provide the best beer list in the area and turn out quality food. The wings are second to none (especially if you order them extra crispy). You cannot beat the specials (if you can get a spot). The rest of the menu is excellent too. The burgers and sandwiches are usually something we get too. The beer list is overwhelming but don't be afraid to ask for suggestions. I recently began sitting down at the bar and have only really started noticing how nice the bar truly is. Ye its a little small and in the summer you wished they had outdoor seating. Croxley's has officially ruined me for wings from anywhere else...and for any type of diet I attempt once going there is a possibility. My boyfriend started going here with his friends about 3 years ago and I was always so jealous because you needed to be 21 to get in on the nights with wing specials (which is M-TH 10cent wings!). Once I was of age and was able to go, that was it! The wings are absolutely amazing, granted I can only handle the mild or honey bbq, my boyfriend always gets the hot or on occasion, the cry baby sauce and they never disappoint. They were voted the best wings in Long Island for a reason! They always have the perfect amount of meat on them, never greasy and always nice and crispy and they always listen to how you want them--whether you're a sauce lover or would rather them with a minimal amount it's always granted by the friendly wait staff. In addition to their amazing wings, always get the Irish nachos! Perfect pair... Granted, I'm obsessed with their wings clearly, but I have tried a couple of other menu items and everything is always tasty and made to order. Since they are a bar after-all, they do have an amazing supply of beers on tap and bottled. They also have a bunch of interesting beer cocktails. Personally, I always opt for the cider... I love getting my fix of Croxley Ales House on Sunday afternoons when it is nice and quiet. And not to forget the Sunday brunch (12pm - 4pm), which includes several choices of brunch dishes with unlimited Croxley Blondes, Bloody Marys, Mimosas, Screw Drivers, Soda, Coffee Or Tea. My favorite among them is the Marinated Steak & Eggs (two eggs any style, fries) for $15.95. Prices may seem a little high for a brunch but the steak portion is very generous, and did I forget to mention very tender and delicious. The steak is marinated in some type of soy/teriyaki based marinade which is very yummy. And don't forget to order the sweet potato fries. All I have are big smiles on my face when I eat here, and I leave with a full stomach and plenty to drink. And if you're still hungry, they also have 20 cent wings on Sundays which are very good also. Service is good here as the waitresses are very attentive and always made sure our glasses were filled and whether we needed anything else. I love this place!! On other nights, if you choose to come during 10 cent nights (Monday & Wednesdays), this place can get very very packed. Expect to wait at least an hour if you are looking to sit at a table (there are only about 15-20). Otherwise, hang out at the bar, order some wings and one of their 60 ales and lagers on draft. Not impressed. I'm used to the much larger locations (Smithtown is my fav, Rockville centre is OK) so I was shocked to walk in to see it's smaller than your local pub. Very small, cramped and loud blaring music. It was difficult to hold a conversation. Our 20 minute wait turned into about 40, which we spent outside inhaling massively unhealthy amounts of second hand smoke. Finally we got inside and seated! Our waitress started off ok. We ordered wings and sweet potato fries, the wings were small and over cooked, I guess for 30 cents I can't really complain. -- The Monday & Wednesday wing special is 20c/boneless, 30c/classic with a $5 drink minimum. -- The sweet potato fries were actually pretty good, but the sauce it came with was vomit-worthy. The waitress then forgot about us after giving us the check. My friend and I literally joked about dining-and-dashing, if we weren't honest people that's exactly what would have happened and nobody would have noticed. We even attempted to give the check to the hostess when she returned to her stand but she couldn't be bothered with taking our money -- instead she just shook her head "no". The food here is mediocre at best. The hot wings were un-hot, un-meaty, and very dry. The pulled pork was also dry underneath the sweet bbq sauce. Redemption points given for being served on a good ol' enriched flour bun...but that's faint praise. Like, really faint. On the plus side of the ledger, the fries, slaw, and pickle were good. The beer list itself gets 4.5 stars, although the "specialty" beers (e.g., Duvel, barley wines) were a bit overpriced. As noted elsewhere, the service was efficient and friendly (weekday lunch). Placed an order through Uber Eats for a scheduled delivery at 1pm to be delivered between 6 and 630pm. I ended up being notified at 6:28pm that croxleys cancelled my order. I know it is a busy day but I placed the order well in advance for the restaurant to let me know that they could not take the order and not notify me the last minute. I went with friends after work. They had a very good selection of beers and the dining area was large and accommodating. We went their during the happy hour, but the scene did not pick up until we left around 8pm. Remember kids, we have to get to work the next day. My friends and I decided to try Croxley's after hearing rumors about their mind-blasting buffalo wing deals. After my visit, I can officially validate the hearsay. If you come during the evening you can get their boneless or traditional wings for $0.20 and $0.30 respectively. The one caveat however, is that you need to order at least $5 worth of beverages. My friends ordered some several well-known craft beers while I settled for a diet coke. I found my drink lacking in carbonation and a little too saccharine (it tasted more like flat Pepsi). My friends however, found the beers to be up to par and were satisfied with the brews. As for food, we started the night off with an order of Irish Nachos which were pretty tasty and several orders of wings. We tried the traditional Hot, Korean Barbecue (KBQ), Italian Stallion, Cry Like a Baby (CLB), and the boneless Jamaican Jerk. Our favorites were the Hot, KBQ (though a bit salty), and the Italian Stallion (like the Hot except with Italian seasoning). The Jamaican Jerk wasn't that great and a little too sweet. The boneless texture is not very good in general and I would recommend going for traditional style wings. The CLB wings were definitely a big surprise, as we all underestimated their lethal power. I would say these wings are as spicy as Buffalo Wild Wings' Blazin', but in a different way. CLB doesn't burn that bad in the beginning, but within several seconds your lips are going to be on fire, and the wasabi infused in the wings will cause your nose to run like Niagara Falls! I didn't particularly like the strange taste of the CLB wings, but then again I was in too much pain to be bothered by it. It definitely lives up its name, as we couldn't finish the 10 we ordered! All in all the experience was an average one. The staff are very friendly but the actual restaurant is quite cramped with not much available parking. The wings were good but not as tender or tasty as the BWW wings. My review might be a bit biased since I didn't try the beer, but Cicerones would probably appreciate the extensive list of ales, stouts, and lagers. read more

i cant give this place better or worse then a 3. i've been coming here for over 3 years now, was 2 years straight of every monday with a group of friends, now its a bit more sporadic. but when we first started out, the wings were great, nice, had meat to em, and worth it, even on a non-wing special night. after time, you could see the wings change from good, to terrible, back to mediocre. its unfortunate because they had a great thing going. it doesn't hurt their business though. and its understandable in order to make money on those nights, you need cheaper wings. come for the beer selection though, one of the more extensive ones on the island, do not expect to find bud light, or coors products though. the only bad thing about the taps, they're almost NEVER cold. so why is this not getting 1 or 2 stars. 5 of 7 of the waitresses we have dealt with are amazing, and almost all the bartenders are great. read more
