Wandered into this little taco shop and it's solid! I had their baja breaded fish tacos and they were perfectly fried! Not oily at all! They were served piping hot with fresh cabbage and warm corn tortillas! The plate had beans and rice. Beans were OK, nothing exciting. Rice was good. I tried 3 of their salsas from their bar and was underwhelmed. The service was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and had plenty of indoor seating for such a small place. Overall, I would definitely return.

If your name is Baja Fish, customer expectations will naturally be high. While these tacos certainly look the part, the flavors are just okay. The creamy sauce tastes less Baja and more salad dressing. The corn tortillas were a bit stiff. It wouldn't take much for their tacos to be memorable. It just didn't happen on this visit.

Tucson has some great taco joints, and Mr. Baja Fish is one of those places. The service was friendly, and we received our food quickly. I tried the fish, lengua, and shrimp tacos. All the tacos were solid, and the portions were very respectable. Each fish taco had two fried fish pieces with a nice, flaky interior and slaw piled on top. The salsa bar is basic but has all the standard fixings to elevate your taco experience. Mr. Baja Fish is a fantastic casual spot to satisfy your taco cravings. Protip: There are daily specials posted on signs on the walls!

This little "order at the counter" restaurant is very clean and service is friendly. There's a salsa bar with 3 types of salsa, 2 creamy sauces, limes and cucumbers. We were given a plate of chips that were fresh and perfectly salted. Baja fish tacos are served piping hot, on delicious corn or flour tortillas that are light and tasty, and hold up for the life of the taco. The fish is crunchy and peppery and plentiful. Rice and beans are hot and a great accompaniment for a full meal. See you again soon Mr. Baja Fish!

Great local Mom and Pop taco shop. Don't let the inconspicuous store facade fool you-great food awaits! We regularly do the ceviche, crispy tacos--both fish and shrimp--and just tried the taco salad. Everything is freshly made while you wait and delicious! The grilled items come with fajita like veggies--onion and bell peppers--while the crispy come with cabbage and tomato. A variety of sauces and toppings. The salad was HUGE and served up in a crispy flour tortilla bowl, loaded with whole beans, rice, lettuce and protein as well as guac and sour cream. You won't find anything like this at Rubio's!

Great prices on Taco Tuesday for meat options only ($1.50/taco) makes for a good deal, but the tacos and flavor themselves were average. We ordered takeout and grabbed several meat tacos for the Tuesday special and the 3 taco platter with battered fish tacos so that we could try a variety. The platter comes with rice and beans which were on the saltier end for my taste but okay. My husband enjoyed the pollo tacos the most out of the bunch because of the char and flavor while the carne was a tad disappointing and needed a little more marinated flavor and the carnitas were average. I had the fish tacos which were standard (a little heavier on the breading than I like but still decent). Staff was friendly and the food was prepared quickly.

Food was okay. Not much flavor as I was expecting. Shrimp was good portioned but the fish was very lightly portioned. Overall bland.

I expected this place to replace Rubio's fish tacos. This place was far from it. I was charged $9.20 for two tacos. A fish taco and a shrimp taco. I gave the woman $20. I was expecting $10.80 in change. She reached into a designer bag and grabbed $10 and handed it to me and walked away. She totally kept the 80 cents. Not cool. So I stepped back wondering if she would give me the rest of my change. She ended up serving the next person. So that should tell you something about this place. As for the food, it was okay. The shrimp taco was loaded but strangely didn't have much flavor. No sauce or anything. The fish taco was barely loaded with fish. Very skimpy on the fish taco. They load it with bland veggies and pico to make you think it is a lot. Real Baja taco enthusiasts know this place is just another Filiberto's hiding behind the Baja Taco name. If you don't believe me... Go see for yourself. Hopefully this review will help them change their ways a little bit.

Now I have had king crab before and the legs were at least 2 feet in length not 10". We went home hungry and $104.00 less in our pockets. Manager was our server and only gave us 10% off! It felt like they were shutting the buffet down long before closing time. To make matters worse, employees were mopping the floors around our feet while we were still eating, leaving the floors extremely slippery and making us feel rushed. The BBQ/sushi area closed at 8:30 p.m., and there were only three plates of dried-out sushi left. We never even got the chance to try the BBQ station they advertise. The desserts were dry and unappetizing, and overall the food was bland and lacked flavor. We spent $112 for dinner, plus a $20 tip because our server was attentive, friendly, and deserved it. The service from him was the only positive part of our visit. For the price, this experience was not worth it. I do not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.

Not a huge place, maybe about 8 or so actual tables, it's a quaint little spot that's surrounded by many other places that are a bit larger but not necessarily better since the other spots are just so crowded particularly at night. If you want a nicer spot to kick back and unwind, you definitely want to try out this spot first. The night we were there they had live music playing too, and since he spot is smaller but had decently taller ceiling, the sounds and acoustics in there actually wasn't bad. Nice to have someone jamming while you have a bite and a drink. The drinks here were sort of hit or miss for me. The drink I got wasn't bad, the drink my friend got was not good. A couple of drinks others got were also hit or miss. I think the cocktails here are just mediocre. The shots here were a bit pricey, but beggars can't be choosers perhaps. Food here was pretty good. Personal favorite, especially for the drinking crowd, that calamari basket was amazing. Came out piping hot and oh so tasty and perfectly fried. Compared to that hot mess of a fried calamari I had at JA Curry Ramen before, this was leaps and bounds ahead. Just a nice spot to be in if you're looking for more lowkey spots here, and one that isn't awful just because it's quieter for, different reasons. Would recommend.
