This beautiful little shop feels like stepping into another world the moment you walk in. It's family run, and you can truly feel the love and creativity that goes into everything they make. From cupcakes and tortes to cookies and so much more, every display case looked amazing. They even had gluten-free options, which was great to see. Gabriel welcomed us in and took the time to walk us through all the delicious treats they had to offer. His kindness and enthusiasm made the experience even more special. Since it was our first visit, we were treated to complimentary shortbread cookies -- we chose lavender and rose -- and both were absolutely delicious. We ended up taking home a strawberry brownie, the tuxedo cupcake with dark chocolate and buttercream frosting, a vanilla cupcake, and the limoncello cupcake. Every single dessert was wonderful and beautifully made. This is the kind of bakery you instantly know you'll return to again and again. We will definitely be back!

I have not actually been into Rise Up Bakery myself, so this review is based entirely on the delightful and delectable cookies I got to try. There was a sugar cookie, oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, M&M, and several others. I started by pinching off a little piece of one, then another, and then another. Before long I felt like such a little piggy because I had sampled nearly every cookie in the box. The problem was that every time I tried a new one, it was just as good, if not better, than the one before it. I kept thinking I had found my favorite, only to change my mind with the next bite. And these cookies were BIG hoggers too, probably around 6 inches across. These are not little dainty cookies you mindlessly nibble on. They have some size to them, and thankfully the flavor matches. So while I can't review the bakery itself, the atmosphere, or the service just yet, I can absolutely review the cookies. Based on those alone, Rise Up Bakery has definitely gotten my attention. Four stars for now, and mostly because I feel like I need to actually visit the bakery before handing over the fifth.

I didn't realize that actually opened in the West Coast first before making their way to the East Coast and rapidly expanding their chain. I know them for their cakes being light, airy and beautifully decorated. Most especially for the season or holiday. I recently tried their strawberry soft cake and it really retained the strawberry flavor. The texture was soft and most certainly airy while not being overly sweet. It made a great pair with coffee. Delicious! All items can be retrieved from the shelves and brought to the counter to check out with courteous staff.
