I've been waiting for a cookie shop in the Mountain View area for ages and am psyched that this one just opened up. I visited this on a Friday night with my partner and we absolutely loved the cookie selection available here. My favorite is the chocolate mellow although the milk cookie was equally good. At 16$ for 4 cookies, I think they're fairly economically priced. The wait time is minimal and the folks working here are absolutely wonderful and friendly. The cake was extremely wet and dence, what I mean by wet is that the liquid was filled all the way to the top with an excess amount of the milk for the tres leches cake and spilled though the box!!! Not only that but this was for Mother's Day and it tasted extremely disgusting it's not even funny to me and this isn't the first time this location in particular has messed up a cake like this if I'm begging honest It's definitely on the workers for this one bc this is so poorly made bc what do you even call that!!!! Who doesn't like a cookie? I suppose that if all you know of cookies is what you can buy at a grocery store or even some 'jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none' bakeries, then you might not appreciate them. However, there are some bakeries that sell AMAZING cookies. I'm thinking of places like Levain Bakery in New York City. To its credit, Crumbl Cookies is more like Levain. In fact, I would go so far as to say that this store sells premium (or even luxurious) cookies. It is like someone took the cupcake/bundt cake boutique concept (found with places like Sprinkles or Nothing Bundt Cake) and did the same but with delicious, premium cookies. Why are these cookies "premium?" For one, they are absolutely delicious. They offer six pretty remarkable flavors each week. Those flavors are diverse enough to have at least one or two that everyone in your party would really like. This weeks flavors: Milk Chocolate Chip, Cookie Butter Lava (with Biscoff), Chocolate Peanut Butter (with Oreo), Cinnamon Roll, Strawberry Cheesecake and Classic Pink Sugar Cookie (with almond). Secondly, these are BIG cookies. If you're familiar with Levain, they are roughly the same size. You might not be able to eat one cookie in a single sitting. That's okay though -- because you can pick up where you left off later! This store is located in a building right off of San Antonio Road (near the corner of El Camino Real) in Mountain View (near the convergence with Palo Alto and Los Altos). Sharing a building with La Salsa (a good Mexican restaurant in its own right), you really feel the quality of the concept's design as soon as you walk in. You can order a cookie through the touchscreen, online or through the app. There were very friendly store employees ready to take your order too. Yes, the staff is very friendly -- taking what you find at Chick-fil-A, In-N-Out or Sprinkles to an even friendlier level. Even after leaving with our box of cookies, an employee walking to her car greeted us and thanked us for coming. Parking spaces are limited in front of the store. So, there is plenty of parking in the back (which is shared with all of the other stores). If you don't find a spot in the front, just park in the back and walk around to the San Antonio door entrance. VERDICT: Five (5) stars! In a world filled with lesser cookies, it's great to know that Crumbl Cookies is here to fill your cookie needs. read more

Crumble cookies are ... essentially just very big and very sweet cookies. Too sweet for me, and it's pretty hard to finish a cookie without feeling sick. As someone who has always heard about the infamous Crumbl Cookies but has never been able to try them, I was delighted to learn that one opened up recently in the area. We ordered the four pack with the blueberry cheesecake, cookie dough, milk chocolate, and rocky road flavors. While these cookies are on the pricier end at $5 a pop or just over $16 for 4, they are worth it considering how thick and calorie dense they are (seriously, one of these could be an entire meal!). So... story time before I get into the actual substance of this review because I think it will put my experience into context for those reading my review. About one week before this place opened, I get an advertisement on my social media about this place opening. As someone who loves desserts, especially cookies, I made a mental note to check this place out since it was right by my apartment. The very next day, my sister hands me a "1 free cookie" card to this place that she got as a promotional gift at her work. I saw these two separate incidences as signs that I definitely needed to stop by here. It was only after I came here (and I'll get more into the details of that experience soon) that I saw a couple of articles on my social media on Crumbl Cookies. Only then, I found out that it was a national chain and has a "cult-like" following. I wanted to mention these details to emphasize the fact that I came here with a clear mind and as someone with no knowledge about Crumbl Cookies. I did come here once on opening day, which was almost like a party with a lot of people present, and then once again a month later where it was a regular day with myself and a couple of other customers. On both incidences they had balloons outside and loud music playing inside. I definitely see where the "cult" description comes into play. The staff are extremely friendly and immediately greet you upon entering the shop. In particular, the first time I came here, I was helped by a tall guy with curly hair who went through the entire menu/concept and he was extremely friendly. Again, I have never been here before, so when I saw the fact that they have a "rotating" cookie concept every week, I was immediately interested. Even at most cupcake/ice cream shops, they have the same flavors every time. The other great thing about this place is that they are open til midnight. Even in the quiet towns of Mountain View/Los Altos, it's crazy to me that we don't even have any dessert shop open past ten, so it's really nice to finally have one. With all of these glowing accolades, one may be wondering why I knocked off a star. So for a place that completely specializes in cookies, Crumbl really didn't blow me away. The cookies were just a little too sweet and dense for my taste. Don't get me wrong, I would come here over a generic store bakery including Whole Foods. However, I would still go to an artisanal bakery for a better quality cookie over this place. It's kind of ironic how this place is right beside Coldstone where I would go if I wanted a no-frills, non-artisanal ice cream scoop. Similarly I will definitely be back here but only if it's late and I'm craving a no-frills and non-artisanal cookie. read more

IF YOU HAVE PEANUT ALLERGIES, BE SURE THE COOKIE YOU PURCHASE IS NOT MADE WITH PEANUT BUTTER AS THEY MAY NOT LIST COMMON ALLERGENS. I visited this store 9/22/23 for the first time, and got their 6 cookie box. My 4 year old daughter has a peanut allergy, and one of their flavors (Monster) is made with peanut butter. IT IS NOT LISTED ON THE PICTURE MENU THAT THERE IS PEANUTS IN THE COOKIES. After a stressful evening and subsequent expelling of her stomach contents, my daughter was fortunately fine. After speaking with the owner of the store, she has forwarded my information to corporate, but as of the time of this writing (10/4/23) there has been NO contact from corporate office. I personally find it to be gross negligence that a chain establishment would not clearly list that MOST COMMON ALLERGY in their products. We are fortunate that our situation did not necessitate a hospitalization, otherwise I would be seeking out legal compensation for failure to warn. But Crumbl. You can do better than this. The cookies are good with a constantly rotating selection, but they will feel more like a cake than a cookie since they are a large, soft, cookie. I like that fact but the partner always likes crispy cookies. The store is nice and clean but I wish there was seating either inside or outside. Drove by this place and didn't even noticed since it was in somewhat of an empty plaza. The balloons caught my eye. First impression is very sterile due to how white everything is. It's very clean. The kiosk is easy to use and the staff is right there to also help take your order. The prices are on the wall so you can miss it. So for roughly $4 a cookie (purchase a 4pack) it's ok these days. Nothing is cheap. The size of the cookie helps easy the cost. These cookies are more on the cake-ie side. It's not bad. But it's not a hard cookie.
