What an adorable little shop! Great selection and they had a really cute Irish theme window display and a ton of little St. Patty's day treats to go along with it. The owner was very sweet and told me all about the sugar free candy and ice cream they have. I got a sugar free, dark chocolate haystack and a jr. scoop of sugar free pistachio ice cream. Both were really yummy and satisfying. My family got all kinds of other items including lemon meringue fudge! Oh man was that yummy! A couple of months ago while seeking something sweet for my seemingly insatiable sweet tooth, I discovered that Martha's Candy offered far more than just candy. The new owners added a bakery called Crust & Crumble. It was a desert connoisseurs paradise. They offer a variety of pies, cookies, croissants, and pastries and I have yet to try something that isn't absolutely delicious! Everything appears to be baked daily on the premises inside of the store so the items are very fresh. I absolutely love the cookies and the Almond Croissants are incredible, but the shortbread cookies could be the best I've tasted. It's great to have a new local go to bakery that provides gourmet pastries and baked goods. I love this place and highly recommend it. read more

Seriously the best candy store! With the new renovations the place really glows inside and there's always a good vibe. Their gummy stuff is always great but the kookaburra licorice is literally the best candy I've ever had! Recently, I celebrated my 20th birthday with cupcakes from Martha's Candy. I knew I wanted the perfectly portioned cupcake rather than the traditional cake, but what I didn't know was where I wanted to look. So, naturally, I opened Yelp. Though I've had excellent experiences with cupcake stores in the past (namely Polkatots in Pasadena and The Cake Mamas in Glendora) I figured it couldn't hurt to try something new for a change. I thought I'd be adventurous. Martha's Candy was close to my home, and I was impressed by the overwhelmingly positive reviews it boasts. As a side note, some neighbors of mine recently had a baptism, and according to two women behind the counter at Martha's Candy, the delicious cake served at the party was from Martha's Candy. However, in retrospect, I'm not very convinced that it was. Two days before the function, my mom and I walked into Martha's Candy, hopeful to see what all the rave was about. It's a cute little place, located on a charming street that reminds me of Myrtle Avenue in Monrovia and Citrus Avenue in Covina. I found it a little odd that there wasn't a display of cupcake designs or some sort of guide to the flavors offered, but I figured it wasn't a big deal as the woman I understood to be the baker was incredibly receptive to my request. She asked what I wanted, and was super kind! I asked if she could do an oreo-themed cupcake, a red velvet cupcake, and I even asked if she could re-create the scrumptious strawberry cake I had at my neighbor's baptism. She happily acquiesced. On July 17th, I found myself picking up an order of a dozen cupcakes, 4 of each flavor. They were in what I imagine to have been a refrigerated glass display near the door, and I remember being satisfied that the cupcakes were made and ready to go. We went home right away to refrigerate them, pleased with the smoothness of the process. Come dessert time, however, our smiles faded. We removed the cupcakes from the refrigerator with ample time for them to become room temperature, but found that the cupcakes maintained too firm a consistency. That was more an observation than a problem, though I will mention that the firmness was unfamiliar-- a self-proclaimed sweet-tooth, I couldn't recall a cupcake I had eaten that was so hard. We delved right in, though. The cupcakes DID look delectable. All in all, I'm quite disillusioned with the product that I received. The service at the actual business was fine, but my cupcakes were honestly sub-par. I found the cakey part of the cupcake was lacking flavor and noticeably dry. The frosting was also a disappointment: what I was told to be buttercream tasted light enough to be whipped. This was consistent across all three cupcake types. Even the promising strawberry cupcake, which I was told mimicked the baptism cake, was a flop. I didn't find it to be reminiscent of the cake in the slightest. I know I'm throwing out a lot of "I's" in this blurb, but everyone who tried the cupcakes came to the same conclusions. While this experience has certainly colored my opinion of Martha's Candy, and I probably won't be going back there myself as a result, I don't doubt the positive reviews. Those favorable reviews did, in fact, inspire me to venture out to Martha's Candy in the first place. This is just my account of my experience with one, rather discouraging, item. read more

Yummy!!!!! So amazing!!!! I went in with a pregnancy craving for 1 cookie and came out with the most delicious ice cream sandwich. Great ambiance, good for kids, good variety of candy. They don't have any exotic or super fancy candy, but still a good variety none the less. It's a small business, so that's a bonus in my book. Great customer service. Good to fair prices. When I come I usually get pop rocks, some form of chocolate, or ice cream. They have a really great amount of ice cream for the price! WOW New owners have done a great job with a new look for our city's landmark candy store ,in the coolest village anywhere. You must try the Oreo candy they make ,it out of this world good ! I do not need to travel to see s candy anymore, because Marthas candy is better and its right here in Glendors Village !
