I went to Crust Brewing on a Monday night. This is a combination pizza restaurant and brewery. Even though I checked out the pizza menu & they sounded delicious, I was there to try the beer. I ordered the flight and the bartender was quite knowledgeable. My flight was delivered within 5 minutes. I actually enjoyed all of the beers in the flight including the oatmeal stout. It's rare that I like all the beers. My favorite was I Know Joe. We saw pizzas being delivered to tables and the looked delicious. I'm definitely going to go back to try the pizzas. read more

Came here pre-covid when the space was the Hofbräuhaus and I really like how they've redesigned the space. This time I came in for a lunch with Ike of my work teams and we had a fantastic experience! Our server was so informative about the beers list and about how the food comes out as it's ready. This is super helpful info when you've got a large group of hangry people. She really helped guide our selections and offered great beer and food pairings. It was a pretty quiet Wednesday, but we were there right at noon and it was actually great because we got to jam and sing along with their killer playlist. We started with a couple pies for the group we got the Italian beef and the margarita. I was so intrigued by the Italian beef that was the only one I ended up trying. I have to say I was in love! The crust is super thin (a bit chewy and floppy on the toppings side but crispy on the crust end) and light. I hate when you feel weighed down in your stomach by a lump of pizza crust. This was great! Crisp and thin. The beef was so flavorful and it was a flavor for bomb in my mouth with the Giardiniera. I would myself a whole pie of this and fight off anyone else who wanted to have a taste. I also tried the against the grain raspberry and it was really tasty. I wasn't wowed, but it was refreshing and paired really well with the pizza - I would get it again. For lunch I went with the Asian noodle salad with some shrimp. Our server recommended this pairing and I really enjoyed it. I really like the texture of the noodles in the salad and the sesame ginger dressing was crazy good. Overall, it's a bit of a hike for me to just come out to Rosemont more frequently, but I will definitely come back when I'm back out at this office for work and I will betting my own Italian beef pizza. Venue: The set up seemed like a sports bar. Lots of tvs. Lots of bar seating which was nice because they don't take walk ins during busy hours. Service was super slow and we had to ask a few times for one of our items. No way we could have played a board game here. Beer: This is why the rating is so low. We got the taster flight and didn't like a single one. So much so we ended up ordering wine and had the flight taken off our bill since we only drank one sip of each beer. We were super disappointed. Group of 4 for lunch midweek 2pm. Very large dining room large bar nicely decorated a huge beer vat looking thing next to the bar, don't know if it actually works but it's cool. A performer sitting on top playing up above the dining room nice. Starters, sweet soy chicken wings and a fry basket with parm/spicey ranch. Both were good but did not arrive at the same time? The entree's all arrived at different times so our group was cutting up the mains and sharing. The Big O'L Burger was good, meat cooked med rare and seasoned well, grilled onions and sauce were tasty. Rigatoni Vodka was not all that, bland not very creamy and actually not very hot when it arrived. The 312 pizza (Italian beef/giardiniera) was a mess, call a hazmat team to clean up the oil spill in our booth. Total flop, no crust, center is like a wet noodle. Need a towel to soak up the mess and a fork and knife to try and eat it. Neapolitan Pizza and Beer is what this restaurant is supposedly known for, the beef/giardiniera is a well known Chicago topping at many pizzeria's around town. Its a proven winner, when done correctly with the proper ratio of beef and peppers. Crust Brewery's version is a hot mess, knowing that this is an incredibly thin crust why would they just slop tablespoonful loads of giardiniera with the oil all over it? Drain the peppers apply to the beef add cheese, cook, and drizzle a little pepper oil on it when done ,Boom simple. Also, who's steering the ship back there? Expeditor just haphazardly just sending out orders all willy-nilly. No one able to get things out at the same time? Awkward sitting at the table, trying not to be rude stuffing my face while the other are watching and waiting. I don't care for this style of service to me it's a sign of a lazy poorly run operation. read more

A coworker recommended this restaurant, but I didn't realize that they specialize in beer and I don't like beer... I got here at about 6 PM on a Wednesday; not busy but not empty. It is very loud, but it is a brewery so that account for the noise level. I sat at the bar and the staff is friendly. One bartender (Angie) helped me immediately and let me sample the spicy margarita. Within a minute another bartender (Diana) came and offered to make me a spicy margarita from scratch (I'm assuming the other is premade). The drink was really good, but if a little lime pulp bothers you then you won't enjoy it. After ordering a drink I think there was confusion which bartender was helping me. I ordered my food with a different lady than I ordered my drink--both are equally nice and helpful. I mention this because when my food arrived I didn't have a plate, silverware, or napkins but the gentleman next to me shared his. I had the Spicy 'Rita with Cabo Waco. The drink was refreshing and you don't taste the tequila, but it's there. I ordered The Marg and it was not good at all. The crust was soggy and limp, the sauce had no flavor, and it could of had more basil on it. I would not recommend this pizza at all. The bartender offered to get me something else, but I declined. I have ordered the Amaretto Almond Cake to go so I'm not sure how it tastes. I don't know if this occurs at tables also, but I sat at the bar and there is a 3% processing fee on the check so be aware. Overall it was a good environment, but based on the food I would go elsewhere. Came here before one of the concerts in the park to eat and try a flight of beer. Service was fine, but we did sit at the bar, so the bartender was always around. I can't speak to what table service was like. He was attentive and the food was brought out relatively quickly. The beer was good, not great. I didn't dislike any of it, but I also didn't love any off it. I've found that breweries that serve food are usually only great at one or the other, with a few exceptions. Which brings me to the food. We ordered the "fresh cut" fries as an appetizer, and what we got were McDonald's fries. Not a skin in sight on these "fresh cut" fries. 12 dollars is also a bit much for fries, especially when advertised as fresh and clearly came from a bag. We also ordered the The Fig Is In pizza, and I have no criticism of the pizza itself, it was delicious. Overall it was a decent experience. They are still new, so hopefully with time the beer becomes even better, but it's on the right track, just not there yet. The service at the bar was just fine. The pizza was delicious. The fries were the letdown of the night . I'll try them again in the future and see how things are going then. read more

Well, came back for round 2. Guess what improved? NOTHING!!!! Beer list is awful... AWFUL!!! Still no descriptions on menu or on website. 3 people in party... 2 serviced at same time, my meal came out 5 min later. Let's talk about my $23 plate of grilled chicken. It tasted great... the only thing good about the experience. It was 1 single small breast with sauce, a smear of jalapeño cauliflower purée and about 3 tablespoons of chopped roasted veggies. Now I know... inflation... but at least give me the other breast for $23!!!! This place is a trap. DON'T GO HERE UNLESS THERES NO WHERE ELSE TO GO!!! Randomly found this Friendsgiving themed beer and food tasting on Tock and it was awesome! We got so much food and generous drinks for a really great price of $75 per person! It was 7 courses and each course was paired with a beer from their brewery. The event was held in one of their private rooms and as soon as you were seated, you received a welcome drink which was an old fashion w cider cocktail. The seating was cozy since it was only 2 long tables and you were seated next to people that you didn't know. As an introvert I was slightly worried but at the end of the night, everyone became friends and we all raved about how awesome this event was! This was my first time here at Crust Brewing so I was not familiar with their regular menu or their beer offerings. This was a great way to introduce people to their beers since they explained what each beer was like and why they paired it with a particular food item. Hats off to the chef who made all the yummy food. Everything was super flavorful and it really complimented the beer pairings perfectly. My brother and I were discussing how this was one of the best beer and food pairings we've done and it was such an affordable price! I cannot rave about this experience enough and just like all the guests mentioned, at the end of the night, we're looking forward to the next one! read more

We came here on a whim with family during the holidays on a Friday evening and were able to get reservations without a problem. The restaurant is very spacious and was decorated beautifully for the holidays! My toddler son and nephew had so much fun looking at all the lights, and I loved all the photo-ops. Service, ambiance, fresh brews & drinks were A+ , food was a C+ to B. Ordered to Poke Nacho, tuna was fresh and flavor profile good but the wantons were over fried & oil tasted stale. My wife really enjoyed her tacos but again the chips seemed over fried. I ordered the half lb fried fish & had to send it back as the fish was burned & should never have been sent out to begin with but the flavor profile was really good. Flavor wise everything good but all their fried stuff seem to be over fried to burnt as if they are still figuring out the stove or frier setting. Same thing with the French fries, they were dry in texture but had really good flavor. The tuna poke nacho was very filling so I ended up eating less than a quarter of the fried fish platter but no desire to take the leftover rest with me. I really enjoyed the outside seating & at least two ppl from the adjoining Resturant came to ask about the poke nachos after they saw it come out because the platter was so beautiful. Our first experience at Crust was definitely one to remember. We went there on a busy Saturday night and we were seated right away. I got the beer flight which had 5 or 6 different beers to try. All of then great and unique. We ordered two plates to share and got the Skirt Steak and the pizza with prosciutto and arugula. Everything was absolutely on point. I have been here multiple times since it opened, and it's okay but not my favorite pizza place or brewery in the world. We also have to remember that this place is located in Rosemont, and Rosemont is the most overrated area in the suburbs when it comes to crazy prices with overrated places... When my husband and I came here for the first time, it was a decently good experience, but could have been better. For our appetizer, we ordered chicken wings, which were very good, and I also ordered a bloody mary which was good and not too strong. As for pizzas, I ordered The Maple, which is described on the menu as "crispy smoked bacon, arugula, and bourbon maple drizzle." It was very good, and I absolute LOVE maple bacon, so it was the pizza for me with a great mix of salty and sweet. My husband wanted The Standard which is just a normal pepperoni pizza with mozzarella cheese, but he wanted to substitute the red sauce for white sauce and we were told we couldn't do that for some reason... Our waiter also did not know what white sauce meant and basically told us we couldn't get the pizza we wanted with white sauce even though there are multiple types that they have to offer and the menu itself explains the different types of sauces offered. To be fair, we came a few weeks after the restaurant just opened, so the waiter was new, but come on... ask someone if you aren't sure. Not sure if maybe you can't substitute sauces for pizzas on the menu, but that seems a little weird for a pizza place that offers different kinds. My maple pizza was $21 and the pepperoni pizza was $20... Like I said earlier, the prices in Rosemont at all of these parkway bank places are steep so know that before coming. I get you are paying for good crust, but all pizzas are 12'' and about $20 each. I came here a second time with my parents not too long ago and they ordered The Tiki Tiki pizza which is described on the menu as "Crispy Canadian bacon and pineapple." This one was not very good, but I learned from that moment that I don't like pineapple on pizza, so it wasn't the restaurant's fault. The restaurant itself is huge and it is very open and modern. They have many TVs inside, and they also have an outside patio in front of the restaurant. Overall, this place is fine, but the prices are steep and not worth the high prices in my opinion. We didn't get dessert, but note that the dessert is almost as much as the pizza. read more

Came here with my wife on a Tuesday evening. The first thing we noticed, it's very loud. We enjoyed the environment, very nice and a lot of tv's. I thoroughly enjoyed the tv's. We ordered an amber ale. It was Prob the best amber ale I've ever had. We also ordered some food, a pepperoni and pineapple pizza, and two orders of elote. The serving size for the elote was pretty big, so maybe next time we won't need two lol. It was good, but alot of lime flavoring/ juice. The pizza was great. I loved the thin crust. Overall, we enjoyed the environment, the tvs, we experienced fantastic service, and good food. The only thing we wished was, that it wasn't so loud. Me and my wife had to repeat ourselves often because of how loud it was. But, we will give it a try again soon. Maybe not a date night location, but it's definitely a sports night out location. read more

Came here a few weeks ago for a Work dinner. We took the tour of the microbrewery which was rather interesting. And then we were given a flight of beers to sample. My only thought is by the time we return to our tables I imagine the beer had been sitting out as it was a tad warm. But otherwise everything was spectacular. We had Jake as our server and we had a large group. He definitely hustled and did his best to serve all of us. There were a few delays with a few people for their pizzas. But I believe there were some adjustments to the bill for that. Jake did an amazing job and worked very hard to take our drink and food orders. Most of us had the chop salad to start. Keep in mind we had a limited menu for our group. Pizzas were the most ordered item. Though a few people at my table had salmon and it worked fabulous. I had the airline chicken. And I asked Drake if it was truly airline food! I guess it's an actual brand of chicken that's supposed to be really good. I would say it was OK. But I would like to order some thing else again. This is the former location of the German beer house. I have to say I'm not a beer drinker so that's not an attraction for me. But they had a full bar to choose from and a great wine selection. I was just at Crust Brewing for a birthday yesterday, and it was delicious! As a vegetarian, I was impressed. The Romano salad was unlike any salad I've had before. Everything was fresh & delicious- the pasta noodles were a surprising but yummy addition. My boyfriend and I then did a half/half build your own pizza. The pizza was also delicious! I stopped in a month back, just to get a couple crowlers to try out the beer and liked it quite a bit. Went back last night with a large group of friends. First off.. we were difficult.. in as much as I couldn't get solid head count on how many people would show up. I thought 10.. we eventually ended up with something like 13. Crust staff were extremely accommodating. For a while, It was literally minute to minute as to how how many people they needed to accommodate.. on a busy Friday night. Our server was "Vesna" (as per our receipt.. sorry, I'm terrible with names so I don't recall if she introduced herself as something other than "Vesna"). Vesna was awesome. Period. ..Totally accommodating to us even though she was juggling a number of large tables. She was attentive, checked in regularly, and somehow.. remembered what everyone was drinking when asking if we wanted another round. We couldn't have asked for better service. As for the food and drink.. I got the fig/prossciuto pizza which was very good. Wife got pepperoni.. also very good. Sampled other apps.. all excellent. No complaints from anyone on the food. Beer.. I enjoyed the IPA on-tap when I popped in a month or so earlier much more than what they had on tap last night. My first thought was 'it tastes like Pistachios' but I may have had that on my mind as there were several pistachio cream dishes on the menu. I switched to the Pale Ale and I thought that was quite good. I started this review as a 4-star, but upon further reflection I'm thinking 5-stars is more appropriate. The only things I can complain about was the current IPA (just a matter of my own taste) and the fact that it was a bit loud for a long table of 13 people to talk (not surprising). I'm upping to 5-stars because only 1 beer didn't meet my tastes, but the Staff on 4/21/03.. from host to table service, were extremely accommodating and attentive to us. First time there came in the with a large party great atmosphere. We had two waitresses one was amazing the other one complain about separating all the tickets. Well, you have a handheld electric device that should help do your job. First of all, I don't usually go to the restaurants in Rosemont because it's not always the easiest of places to get to, that being said, I would go back to Crust Brewing in a heartbeat. Upon walking in, the place has a very modern streamlined brewery feel. We loved the lighting fixtures. I started the night by trying their Hazed and Confused IPA beer, which had a great flavor. I think next time I may get a flight to try all their beers. I was there with my mom and daughter, and we ordered three pizzas and the Italian Beef Empanadas. First of all, the empanadas were fabulous and the au jus on the side was so flavorful. I actually ended up dipping my pizza crust into it. I ordered the Shroom Pizza, which was so delicious and not too heavy. My mom ordered the Strong Like Popeye, that although we felt was a bit too heavy on the roasted garlic, it was still really good. My daughter ordered the Hogs and Kisses, that was out of this world amazing. Between the saltiness of the pancetta and the sweetness of the pineapple, topping with just a little bit of spice from the hot honey; it had such a mixture of flavors that works well together. Our waitress was very helpful, and checked on the table often to make sure we had everything we needed. My only complaint were the hosts need a bit more training on guest service. Kind of felt like we were bothering them when we entered and when we left. Other than that, and overall great experience and we will be back! read more

After coming twice and having great food and service this last time we went was a huge disappointment. The server was so confused with everything going on. Serving wrong drinks to wrong tables, taking it off that table and bringing it to the correct one. Then we order a $15 ROCK and rye old fashion that states it comes with rock candy, when it didn't and we asked they claim it's "pre mixed". How is something stating it's served with rock candy premixed? Then we ask for pickles on a burger and are told we'll be charged for pickles. Then ask for a second drink and wait over a half hour. Crust Brewing does two things exceptionally well: Pizza and Beer. They've got several beers, and to try them all I recommend getting a flight of beers. The pizza is also very good. However, if you're looking for something other than pizza, I suggest going somewhere else. The are a variety of options but they're kind of expensive. The vibe is very lively and Crust Brewing definitely adds positively to the Entertainment District. The waitresses are also very good too! read more

Came here on a Sunday night with some friends. We had the burrata crostini and the cheesey bread for an appetizer. The burrata was delicious!! We tried the Cubano and the Fig is in pizzas. Thursday business lunch - seated quickly and order taken in a timely way. Server said that he was being trained. Food was quick, and pizza was fine. Chicken sliders were super overcooked while fries were not crisp and not hot when served. What really brings this down is that NO ONE stopped to ask how it was - they asked as then walked by and just kept going - no real eye contact, no real concern - even from the manager that was training the new guy. We had two entrees and an iced tea for nearly $50. Would have been just as happy with fast food take out - maybe happier. read more

It's really weird to write a review about bad pizza. Pizza is usually great, right? Most are at least decent. These are not good. Plus each is a 12 inch that is more than $20. The folks here are trying to do some funky brick oven pizzas at a brewery in the style of a Smylie Bros or Haymarket I think but just failing miserably. The pizza got a lot worse as it cooled which I think says something about quality of the ingredients. We got a sausage pizza, a white pizza with prosciutto and fig (had to pull both of those main components out of my mouth they were so bad), and a plain cheese. None were appealing. We ate little, took the leftovers to be polite, and then trashed them. (We would have handed off to an unhoused person but this is in a fancy nouveau dining and entertainment complex and no such people were anywhere...) Service was very nice though which is why I give two stars. read more

Outstanding pizza here, and a small but fun brews made on the premises. The staff weee also super friendly. We are the OMG BLT and the Duck pizza. Both were outstanding.
