I really wanted to love this place, but it just didn't deliver. The ambiance is decent, but the temperature inside was freezing--it felt like they had the AC set to arctic mode even though it was 52°F and pouring rain outside. Definitely not the cozy brunch vibe I was hoping for. The food? Overpriced and underwhelming. The portions were small, the quality was mediocre, and honestly, it reminded me more of cafeteria food served on nicer plates. I've seen rave reviews and can't help but wonder if people showed up starving or simply don't know the difference between average and exceptional food. On the plus side, our server was very perky and friendly--she was great. Unfortunately, I couldn't ignore the young man working behind the counter who kept running his fingers through his hair and then not washing his hands before handling food, touching glasses, etc Seriously gross and really off-putting. While the food was, and had been quite the delight numerous times, noting especially the sandys and burgers. The number of times roaches have been spotted by either myself or a friend, has become concerning. Not only this, having to wait over half an hour for a simple plate of fries on an otherwise tame night, wouldn't be the absolute worst, if not for the other time I was asked to leave, due to not ordering anything, though it had been only my second time in, hadn't spoken with anyone yet, and had only been in for mere minutes. Factor in the emptiness at the time, I was quite unsure why me, and my two pals and been removed. We had only been speaking to ourselves at their bar, though I can admit one of my companions is quite loud, so apologies on their behalf. Food is well made and tastes great, but for the prices, little bug friends who seemingly run the place with how many I have seen, and inadequate service, I most likely will not return. I understand not much is lost with this revelation, I hope to inform others is all. Only other notes: The decor and music is nice, fun art on the walls, I remember when there were couches, which I miss. Baristas always seem to be in a good mood, and are nice, maybe because it's early. Better suggestions? Not the Laundry, but maybe Honcho (or even Leroy's bar underneath if you like a good burger), Cancun, or Goki Goki. read more

I'm not sure why this spot has such a low review on yelp. The staff was friendly, their seasonal beer was phenomenal, and the club sandwich I ordered was mighty delicious. The only downside I can see with this location is some of the prices of their alcohol, but at the end of the day all alcohol is pricy. Great bar food and tasty drinks! Highly recommend. read more

Go go go! Oh...and go when they open. It gets packed quick! Came here on a Sunday morning for brunch. Parking lot in the back. Sat along the edge of the restaurant in the sun (kind wish they had shades) but it was nice to see the sun during a chilly day. It was so hard to decide on food and drinks! It's a coffee, tea, cocktail and food spot. I see a few sad looking donuts left from today or so. Some The pic of the smashing basil or something limeadey sounds nice right about now. It was from their summer menu and they don't have the peaches for the drink. They are going to make me a limeade with lemonade and lime juice. It should be interesting. I needed something refreshing after spicy and ice cream. It wasn't bad, but more of a lemonade than a limeade to me. Maybe their food is decent. I would have been more impressed if they had muddled up some lime and made me a fresh limeade. It's cold and drafty by the windows, I can feel the vents directly onto me. So glad I kept on my coat. Great if you need to sit down. Terrible if you want something to eat or drink. We showed up a little after 5pm on A Friday. Upon walking in the bartender greeted us and pointed to a few tables we could sit at. Half the restaurant was empty and there were only three people sitting at the bar. We grabbed a two top and noticed a server at the table next to us. We waited. A few minutes later Couple #2 came in and sat near us. The server walked by our table without acknowledging us. A few minutes later Couple #3 came in and sat on the other side of the room. Another server immediately brought them water and menus. We sat, waiting. Several more minutes go by. The server who ignored us went over to Couple #2 with water and menus. I don't know if we didn't look right or smell right or they just didn't like us, but after 10 minutes of being ignored we walked out, drove over to the Fire Hall and were nicely attended to and fed. You get one chance to make a good impression and this place blew it. There's no need to try again. read more

ill start with saying that I love this place. It's been years of great food and tasty cocktails. It's often hard to get in and find a seat but the charm is off the charts! Today we were so disappointed. We are out doing shopping for Christmas and really needed a bite to eat. We stopped in at 2:40 not knowing the closing time was three pm. I would think there are extended hours during the bustling holiday prime shopping time when it was a full restaurant but nonetheless ..... we were greeted kindly and offered only drink menus because the kitchen actually closed at 2:30. We could not get any food! Having both served in the food industry for many years we were truly surprised that the kitchen closed before the restaurant did Especially noting there want an empty seat and patrons were still trying to enter . Ok so the food was pretty darn good we went for brunch on a weekend but the service was sorta slow which is fine but I do start to feel bad when I have my two younger children with me is all because after an hour/ hour and a half passes they get stir crazy and I just empathize with those around is all! One major complaint is that the way in which the sun comes in through the two story tall (I think? There are vaulted high ceilings so it may appear bigger/ taller ) Is almost blinding to 1/4-1/3 of the restaurant I personally get migraines so we had to get up and move when something Better had opened up also not the end of the world just difficult with four adults two children I highly recommend maybe some sort of sun blockage (curtains drapes blinds anything really) to fix that issue The food was a bit more expensive but was honestly very good and filling so it wasn't that much of a bother that it was priced more All in all with a few MINOR changes I really think this could go from 4 to 5 stars very easily in my own personal raw and honest open read more

This place is really cool, they make awesome cocktails, and the food is something to write home about. I've been coming here for years and it never disappoints! The food is unique, interesting, and delicious. The cocktails are made with care & pride and include a plethora of different flavors/alcohol combinations-- true beverage art! The atmosphere is industrial-cool with graffiti and vintage in every direction you look. Staff is always down-to-earth, welcoming, and friendly-- exactly what you want at a place like this. Come here in the morning for coffee, smoothies, and baked goods. Lunch & dinner is always memorable with their wide selection of sandwiches, salads, and burgers. Don't go here if you are limited on time...absolutely no sense of urgency for anything & if you have kids they almost seem annoyed. So not exactly family friendly. No kids menu...Staff is early 20 somethings so maybe that's why they have that attitude towards families. Food was good once we received it...also were out of multiple items so made ordering more limited. Regardless of who someone is & if they have children or not...they are still a paying customer & should be treated as such. Especially in the service industry... I feel like Rough Draught is very deserving of some love, because it combines my two favorite drinks: craft beers and coffee. Sure, there's a menu with lots and lots of food, and yeah, I bet some of it is great and most of it is straight up average (just a guess, I've never eaten here). The drinks, though - they are mighty nice. Huge selection, nice bar-to-table-ratio seating, and friendly barkeeps. Highly recommend starting a Fenton evening here with a chill drink, and/or ending a night here with a nightcap or, if you're old & caffeine-unaffected like myself, a Shot In The Dark to stay awake for the ride home. read more

Today we were asked if we were "in a rush" after waiting an hour for food- AFTER being told we had to wait until 12pm for lunch (we sat down at 11:50am) I try to not to be a Karen when writing reviews, however after waiting over an hour for a salad today- I now have food poisoning after eating it. So ok, we order from the lunch menu, it literally took 45 minutes for our burgers, blt and chicken chili. Now lets address the chicken chili - my advice is, dont order it, unless your in the mood for chicken chunks swimming in water with beans. Absolutely terrible. The atmospheres is hip & cool - 5 stars for that, but the service, disinterested waitstaff and food quality, 1 star, for an average of 2.5. Much better places in town. read more

The menu looked incredible. So many dishes I'd like to come back and try. The decor is very cool. Love the atmosphere. The tacos were on point. Bonus for having Cholula hot sauce! The staff was friendly and on task. The fried pickles were some of the best I've had. The Margarita was very good, just know going in that it's not a gigantic margarita like you'd get at your typical Mexican restaurant. Exploring nearby, we only came in for coffee so I'm not sure if the food and cocktails are worth checking out but the Americano I ordered was the worst I've had. I'm pretty sure it was a single shot of espresso with way too much water added. It made me sad since it tasted like dirty water and not a caffeinated delight. My wife's regular coffee was also so hot that it was unsippable for 10 minutes. I know hot coffee is supposed to be served HOT but they must be using near boiling water. Good luck drinking your beverage anytime soon after you order it. I was also surprised that when I asked about a caffeine free tea options for my pregnant wife that this was a bewildering inquiry. What used to be a favorite spot for coffee, smoked white fish dip, even a beer (hope its a clean glass) or a meal....is no more. Last Saturday, 4/6, stopped in for breakfast with the wife and eventually a coffee to go for each of us. Breakfast sandwiches (BREAKFAST) took nearly an hour, with no check ins by waitstaff to see if we needed anything while we waited. Apparently our empty glasses and dehydrated looks were not enough. Finally, our orders arrived. Meh. Coffee to go ? Sure! It's coffee, so what could go wrong? Oh wait. Wife ordered iced coffee but hey - we made you hot coffee. Yes, we will remake it. Skip ahead a week, let's give them another shot. Minus breakfast. Today's visit? Two coffees to go. One being Iced Coffee which was confirmed by the waitstaff, yet... hot coffee was still served. Lunch review: Salad was full of Romain brown lettuce that I had to pick out- lots of coarse rib pieces too-$14. Thin grilled cheese sandwich and French fries $14. Quality was sub-par and prices in relation were insulting. I have had much better experience in the past there, but definitely felt robbed and fed from their discard pile. I was embarrassed that it was my recommendation. I definitely won't be back because I felt disrespected and humiliated, by food quality and prices. The server was excellent. read more

I used to come here every day when they were Cafe Aroma. The service is different now. Great atmosphere but if im stopping in for a bagel before work i really dont want to have to wait for a server & tip. I preferred the old methods. Came here last Friday with my girlfriend. 2 drinks were $18. My friend has celiacs & they offer no gluten free menu which is odd nowadays. Server suggested we eat salads. We left to go elsewhere. On our latest visit, we sat there for at least 15 minutes and weren't even acknowledged by the multiple servers who kept passing by our table.
